These studio sessions are suitable for someone with an understanding of ceramic processes and materials who wants to work independently  on personal projects.

I will be available for technical support although no formal teaching is included.

The studio is equipped for hand-building  and suitable for working on small and medium scale items.

- The kiln is a top-loading 40 x 31 cm,  firing at both earthenware and stoneware temperature.

- Tools, plaster moulds, a selection of brush on glaze, underglaze and  decorating slip are available. You can to bring your own clay and glaze if preferred.

There is an included allowance to cover materials and firing, larger items my be charged a small extra fee.

- Friendly, relaxed atmosphere with small groups of   3 people. Tea and biscuits available :)

Join us for this exciting tester workshop giving you a glimpse into ceramic hand-building and surface decoration!
No previous experience needed.

In this session, you will:
- Learn to roll a slab of clay and decorate it using stencils and coloured clay slips. 
- Select a design from a range of ready-made stencils or make your own.
- Create four stunning patterned coasters. You also have the option to use them as tiles or display them as wall art! (Your instructor will explain how to make adjustments for the different uses.)

All materials and tools will be provided and firings are included. 
This is a single-session workshop and your creations will need to dry and be fired to be ready for collection after 3 to 4 weeks.
Your tiles will have a transparent glaze finish applied by your instructor before the second firing.

-   Learn how to use a plaster mould to shape you slab.

Ceramic Botanical Ring Dish or Incense Holder -Tester Workshop 

Join us for this exciting tester workshop giving you a glimpse into ceramic hand-building and surface decoration!
No previous experience is needed.
Bisque-fired ceramic is a porous yet very durable material that absorbs and slowly releases essential oils' fragrance making it a perfect natural diffuser.
In this session, you will:
- Learn to roll a slab of clay and/or model a small 3D shape. 
- Create a unique surface decoration imprinting items from a wide range of intricated wood blocks, textiles and letters.
- Craft up to 6 essential oils diffusers to hang or display in your home. They also make nice personalised gifts!
- Select your favourite essential oil. A 2ml mini bottle will be included at collection time!
All materials and tools will be provided and firing is included.

- Learn to roll a slab of clay and decorate the surface using stencils and imprinting.
- Learn how to use plaster moulds and cylinder cores to shape your slab into vessels.
- Create two unique items: a mug and a plate (or a bowl), perfect for your morning coffee and toast or cereals! They also make a thoughtful personalised gift!
All materials and tools will be provided and firings are included.
This is a single-session workshop and your creations will need to dry and be fired. They will be ready for collection in 3 to 4 weeks after the workshop.

Maria, a talented artist and designer, holds a Fine Arts degree from Accademia Albertina in Turin, Italy, where she developed a strong foundation in artistic formation.
She further specialized in Ceramic and Glass, obtaining a Btec qualification in London.
Additionally, Maria holds a Community Art Teaching certificate from Camberwell College of Arts, showcasing her dedication to sharing her knowledge and passion for the arts.
Based in her studio in South London, Maria focuses on designing and crafting ceramic homeware and porcelain jewellery. 
Maria offers sessions for individuals interested in learning from her expertise. These sessions are currently available at two locations:
-West Croydon ( up to 4 students per group)
-East Dulwich ( up to 12 students per group)
