London Art Classes are held in famous artist Nick Malone's working studio - a truly creative space in which to realise your artistic potential!
Beginners to drawing and painting are particulary welcome - the classes are small with lots of personal attention and a great atmosphere. We offer a very relaxed, student led class where everyone is free to work at their own pace. There are three elements to each class:
Practical studio work
Instruction in the basic techniques of drawing and painting
A slide show or short film on contemporary art
Use of materials and a fabulous lunch of fresh bagettes, brie, camembert, grapes and wine are all included.
Nick is passionate about promoting good art practice, which he sees as a vital part of his role as a professional artist. He has extensive experience of developing creativity in beginners and more experienced artists.
As an artist Nick has exhibited extensively in London and internationally, including at the Royal Academy, Dulwich Picture Gallery, Art Bermondsey Project Space, The British Council Greece and the Carrousel du Louvre. Before becoming an artist, Nick had an academic career, becoming Principal Lecturer in Humanities at the University of Luton, Visiting Professor in Modern Literature at the Aristotle University of Salonika, Greece and Visiting Professor in Contemporary Literature at the University of Wisconsin, USA.
