I have always wanted to learn how to crochet and have recently attended the beginner classes with Sylvia.
She is an amazing teacher. Very patient and I have learned a lot from her.
I will be re-visiting Sylvia when I am ready to learn my next lot of stitches.
I booked this using a gift voucher from my family, using it was painful though as I had a referral credit so couldn't apply it, after a back and forth on email with Obby the only option was to check out as guest... Seemed a bit ridiculous to me.
To the crochet class though, I loved it! Sylvia was wonderful to learn from, she's really warm and patient, it helps so much. The class size of 4 was perfect as we all were able to get plenty of 1 on 1 help. After competing the 4 weeks I've found I'm enjoying it so much I'm not ready to finish, the others felt the same so we're all going to continue another course with Sylvia. Could not recommend this more!
Sylvia my tutor was very friendly and kind. She was patient throughout the lessons. I progressed really well with understanding stitches and patterns.

I absolutely loved this course. Sylvia is an excellent teacher and natural communicator. I never thought I’d make any progress but I gained in skills and confidence. I’ve learnt a whole new technique that I am looking forward to developing for years to come. Definitely recommend!
I booked a session with Sylvia to get back into crocheting. I already know a few basis techniques but needed a refresher as it has been some time since I picked up a crochet needle and I needed help with a couple of projects. For example, she helped me freshen up on some of the basic steps with some new techniques and she helped me go through a couple of my recently purchased patterns where we would pick a few steps and she showed me what the instructions meant and how to do it where I wasn't sure. So if you are new to crochet or just need some help with a project I would recommend Sylvia as her lessons are quite flexible and easy to follow.
The classes with Sylvia were the thing that helped me learn how to crochet - without her help I wouldn't have managed to get my head around where to start! A lot of information is available online but I feel that the private classes were the one thing that helped me get a grip of it! And the fact that they are online and you can share a class with a friend made it really accessible for me since I'm not in the same area. I would definitely recommend!
Lovely hour spent with this crochet teacher. Perfect pace. Good to see a holistic approach to crochet, tips on lighting, equipment, even some good Zoom tips. I learnt way more than I have learnt via YouTube etc before. Inspiring to think that I could work my way up to crocheting a fossil picture. If you are thinking of booking this class it is worth the extra money for the 1-2-1 to go at your pace.
I only managed 1 class before the lockdown, however, it was excellent, I learned 3 stitches and have been practicing at home. I would recommend.
