Making pasta from scratch might seem challenging if you have never seen it with your eyes. I can imagine that. I was the lucky one who watched my grandma make it on daily basis all throughout my childhood, so recreating it in my adult life was not a tricky task. Thanks to that now, I am able to share it with you. My idea is to follow the way my grandma taught it to me: watch and then do the same.

Therefore, my class is a demonstration and a real hand-on experience on both sides. Which means, I am cooking along with you, so that you are never left alone. During the class, you will master the preparation, kneading and cutting technique of the pasta. Along with that, we will make crema di pepperoni, which is a simple yet vibrant topping to go with the pasta. It is an Italian-style, vegetarian sauce, the base of which is fresh tomatoes and red bell peppers. 

Ingredients (serve 2): 1 red bell pepper, 1 medium-sized tomato, 3-4 garlic cloves, 300g plain flour, 3 eggs, 1 lemon, olive oil, fresh or dried basil, turmeric, sugar, sweet paprika, , black pepper, cayenne powder (optional), salt, ground ginger, parmesan

Equipment: a hand blender, a chef’s knife, a working surface, a rolling pin, a spaghetti spoon, 2 medium-sized cooking pans.

The experience will be a real feast for all the senses! 

Fresh Pasta-Making Class

Learn to make fresh pasta and an Italian-style sauce from scratch. 

I come form Poland where I grew up in a rich culinary tradition. Over the years I have been developing my cooking skills and techniques I learned from my grandma. For the love of Italian culture and cuisine I have explored their traditional cooking as well. From these two backgrounds and my teacher training emerged the pasta classes. 

All of that I combined with 5 Element Cooking, a method which shows you amazing combinations of flavours, will leave you wanting to learn more! 

My aim is to gently guide you through the recipes and techniques so that your experience is unforgettable and and your success is sure.
