**Has it been a while since you've picked up a pencil? Do you want to learn to draw?**


Then you need to join our online class with a welcoming community and a brilliant teacher.


Don't worry, these classes are beginner friendly with the aim to make you remember how fun and therapeutic drawing can be. 


**What To Expect?**
Each week we'll be experimenting with different techniques, and different things to draw. Some weeks will feel hard, some will feel easy but you’ll be amazed at what you can do. 


From still life to life drawing, we like to play around, try different things and push your limits occasionally.


Expect people to be chatting, and supporting each other because our community is at the heart of the class and we welcome anyone who wants to join! Or if you want to sit and draw quietly, you can switch your camera off and we’ll respect your mindful time as you listen to the chitter chatter of our students.

Drink & Draw - Balham

Ever wanted to get into watercolour? Want to start feeling more creative?

Come to our 90 minute online watercolour class and see how you can paint something you’re proud of with ArtistAnd.

**What To Expect?**
Over 90 minutes, we’ll guide you through 1 or 2 paintings using watercolours. Like all talented athletes, we’ll start with a warm up, and then you'll apply different techniques to your work. Each month we look at something new that’ll be good enough to put in the fridge! Even beginners can make great art when you have a teacher that can show you how.

**What You’ll Need:**
* Watercolour paints
* Brushes
* A4 or A5 Watercolour paper (not normal paper)
* A cup with water
* A palette or mixing tray (usually this is the lid of your paints)

**FAQ’S?**
1.How do I choose the right brush for my painting?
The right brush depends on the type of painting you are creating. For larger washes, use a larger square brush, and for fine details, use a smaller brush. Round brushes are a good all-purpose choice for watercolour painting. See pictures for examples.

2. Can I use watercolours on any type of paper?
It's best to use watercolour paper, which is specially designed to absorb and hold watercolour paint. Regular paper may not hold up well to the wetness, cause abrasive rubbing and warp the paper.

3. Will you provide materials?
Materials won’t be provided for this class. Please provide your own materials. Just remember, the cheaper the palette, the lesser quality it maybe. Just like buying wine at a restaurant, always go for at least the second cheapest one.

4. What colours will I need before the lesson?
We can work with any colour palettes, there's always a way! This class aims to be accessible as much as possible so if you really are worried, send me a picture before of what you've got.

5. What if I need to cancel?

This drawing kit comes with a full video to help you use your tools and understand what they and you can achieve.

Using a ruler to create a grid, we will show you step-by-step how to draw your own masterpiece, in the hope to inspire you to fill your sketchbook with more amazing atworks.

This drawing kit contains everything you need to start or continue your drawing practise.

Included:

- Professional hardcover, casebound sketchbook - A5 - 46 pages - acidfree - 170gsm (which means it's good quality paper and can take a bit of water without major buckling.)

- Pencils - HB, 2B, 2H, 6B (Everything you need to create dynamic drawings)

- Professional putty rubber (so you can fix your drawings in small precise areas, and it's even got its own little case to keep it safe.)

Sketchbook

The sketchbook is really high quality and made from recycled material, but if you ask me,  you can't even notice! The paper is slightly thicker than printing paper which means you can draw on it whilst still keeping a smooth texture. You can also progress onto water-based paints if you so wished. This is perfect if you want to take your sketchbook on your travels with you and create some landscapes. With its hardback case, and thick structure, you'll be sure that your drawings will be protected from any wear and tear.

Pencils 

These have been hand-selected to ensure that you have all the pencils you need to make your drawings dynamic and detailed. We decided to cut out the middle man in the packs of a million pencils because quite frankly, you can do pretty much anything with these four. In our video demonstrations you will find that we only use 2H, 2B, 6/8B so the HB is a little bonus for you.

Putty Rubber

This putty rubber is not your average eraser. This comes in its own case to keep it clean and safe as it is much softer than any other rubber. Use this like playdough to twist into little points to remove the smallest areas of pencil so you don't remove the whole thing! We LOVE these.

Welcome to ArtistAnd’s painting masterclass where you can learn how to paint like the incredible Vincent Van Gogh. Explore how to recreate his style and technique with your very own Artist led instruction. No matter where you are in your creative journey, this workshop is designed to help get everyone to the same level, from beginners, to regular art dabblers. 

We will explore the different types of brushstrokes, the use of colour, and the detail in which he painted. Vincent was a true genius when it comes to painting and when you create your own version, you will be able to feel first hand, what it takes to create a master piece.

Whose It For?
If you want to learn to shade like a boss then you need this book in your life. If you like colouring books or just doing something with your hands then you'll bloody love this! It teaches you how to shade without even knowing it and you don't need to study or go to art school.
 
What's Inside?
In side the book you have exercises and illustrations to help you build confidence in your shading and get you ready for shading in the big boys and make them look 3D. It's gonna be so satisfying.
 
As an artist, the most fun part of any drawing is the shading. The outlines can be quite stressful so I've done them all for you. I've even colour coded the shades so you just need to match them with your pencils (you can add them to the book if you don't have any at home).
 
Finally...
This is the first edition and hopefully one of many. It was self published so you may find the odd error but hopefully you can see past the any grammatical mistakes.

We like to challenge what the eye sees and what the brain perceives as real. With this new way of looking, each ArtistAnd will be able to draw and paint anything they can imagine. With the fundamental tools of realism behind them, they are then encouraged to go off and explore the eyes with this new language and to tell their stories in their own way.
