This workshop will look at the multitude of benefits that arise from a regular meditation practice. You will be taught specific techniques to help you with your meditation, and receive resources.
We live in a society of ambition, striving and achieving. Although there are huge benefits from these traits, we also live in a society of stress, anxiety, burn out, exhaustion. Many of us seem to have forgotten that we need rest and space in our bodies and our minds.
A Perspectives on Psychological Science study describes mindfulness as “the non-judgmental awareness of experiences in the present moment.”
Louise will guide you through a yoga practice to prepare your body for meditation. We will then move into a guided meditation to ease into the practice and get familiar with how it feels to sit in stillness and silence.
Expect to move inwards, become aware of the body and the mind, and feel relaxed and peaceful.
