You will learn the authentic basics of Cuban rumba from the masters of the art, taken from Havana Cuba. 
The session will run for 2 hours were you will be taken through the moves and musicality, step by step. Your dance level will improve and so will your body movement and style. 

You do not need to have any dance experience as 'ACD' (Anybody Can Dance)!

After the session, there will be a salsa fiesta that will run till 1am. They will play a mixture of cuban salsa, reggaeton, bachata and a variety of latin party songs.

Originally a breakdancer, hip-hop, street jazz/fusion dancer and accomplished percussionist.
Earl combines all these elements to bring passion to his moves and joy onto the dance floor. Dedicated to give clear instruction, his animated lessons are loved by his students.
A dynamic Cuban style dancer whose moves are enviable and passion. Earl always aims to nurture his students, encourages them to grow and develop with him.

Natalia started her dancing journey in
Romania, at the tender age of 16. Her styles was a combination of Ballroom dancing with thematic dance. Natalia relocated to London where she discovered the beautiful fusion between cuban casino, rumba & afro rhythms. Her love for cuban dance has made her classes fun and vibrant. Her students are always enjoying her classes as she takes them through a journey of the basics, timing, musicality and styling.

The Charleston was THE  dance craze of the 1920’s and is  a popular favourite on Strictly Come Dancing . The style is fun, energetic and great for lifting your mood . You need't have dance experience to enjoy this class . Just the will to have a go !

During  our taster class you will be introduced to the following

The basic Charleston step: 'Jay Bird'
How to 'Swivel' your feet during your basic step
A selection of classic solo Charleston moves and gestures
A bouncy routine  that will link your newfound moves together :)

Dancing the Charleston is addictive, uplifting and fun! It will lift your mood, give you a good cardio workout  and develop your dance ability and musicality.
Following this taster session you have the option to enrol on a 4- week course that will expand your bank of Charleston dance moves and your swivel skill!  The course starts Thursday 14th November.

After the beginners course you are very welcome to join our regular I Can Charleston Class which is an open level class on a Thursday evening , 7.30 - 8.30 pm. I Can Lindy Hop Beginners Workshop!

Led by Lindy teachers Nigel Bell and Jacqui Evans  this introductory workshop  will teach you a routine with some fun swing dance sequences so that you will be able to dance to a whole track. You will learn the Lindy Hop footwork and understand how it works with the music.  You will also learn some Charleston moves which were incorporated as this dance form evolved. You will also be shown you the basics of how to connect with your partner as a lead or follow – that way you will be able to mix and match the moves for added challenge and enjoyment.

Nigel and Jacqui aim for you to have a great time and go away with enough fun moves to play around with, should a swing track come on and you find a willing partner

"Do I need to come with a partner?"
No, you can couple up with others coming on their own .This is a relaxed and all inclusive session, enabling you to make enjoy learning a partner dance  without it  feeling  intimidating.

"Should I have danced before?" - No, not necessary. This is beginner level class and the steps are broken down into manageable junks, so it is fun and also good exercise.

"Do I need to dress  Vintage " - You can if you want to, it is entirely up to you! Importantly  just wear something you feel comfortable and that you can move in.

Recommended footwear : Flat shoes or a v small heel. Ideally soft smooth soles- nothing too grippy.  Pumps are ideal.

I Can Lindy Hop Beginners Dance Workshop 

This class is perfect for adults who are beginners and wish to learn how to dance various street dance styles.  You will learn basic Hip Hop foundations, vocabulary and technique.

You will also  learn, Locking, House with basic notions of Popping, Waacking, and Voguing.

Each class start with warm up, stretching, dance choreography or exchange followed by a cool down. Students learn how to dance, follow routines on the beat, learn dance steps and vocabulary. They also build confidence while getting fit.

She has also toured with numerous live performances and is currently preparing for a world tour in which she will be teaching and performing with Michael Nadtohi in New York, Moscow, Bali and Buenos Aries. Paula has more than 15 years of tango teaching and performing experience and has helped thousands of students to build a solid technique and develop a personal dance style with confidence and passion. She will help you on your dance journey by working with you to discover and reach your personal goals in a positive and constructive way.

Private lessons can be booked by dancers of all abilities and usually last for one hour.

Private Tango Class

This course is suitable for students with a little bit more experience and who wish to take their studies further. In this term we will be learning veil technique to Bahlam Bi by Shahrzad. The 8 weeks course will cover a detail breakdown of the veil technique, classical and traditional belly dance steps and how to move gracefully across the floor. Please bring with you silk veil rectangular or semi circle. No chiffon or organza please.

Due to Covid regulations only 10 students are allowed in the studio. Please note the course is non refundable and non transferable and this extends to failure to attend the course, partially attending and medical reasons. Cancellation policy 7 days before the course start date. Failure in attending classes will result in loosing dance spot in the class.

Duration: 8 weeks. Dates 25th Sept, 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd of October, 13th, 20th, 27th November. No classes on 30th October and 6th of November.
