It's fun, energetic and sexy. There are various different styles of salsa dance, with influences affecting the dance from all over the world. Crossbody salsa is heavily influenced by Hollywood and the mambo. New York style salsa emphasises elegance whereas Bachata, which originated in the Dominican Republic involved some hip movements that aren't used in other forms of the salsa style. Salsa Class for beginners
Salsa is a popular form of social dance that originated in the Caribbean. The movements of salsa have origins in Puerto Rican bomba and plena, Cuban Son, cha-cha-cha, mambo, and other dance forms. This is the perfect class for anyone who's never learned Salsa before and are keen on giving it a go for the first time. You will be lead through the basic steps and foot patterns of Salsa, basic turns, and change of positions, individually and in couples. Usually, students attend between 5-8 beginners class before they are confident to move up to the Salsa Improver class. There is no need to bring a dance partner to these classes, there are many individuals for you to practise partner moves with.
Intermediate Bachata Class
This is the perfect bachata salsa class for you if you are already confident with the basic Bachata moves and now you are looking learn more complex moves. This class is suitable for those with a fair experience in Bachata dancing, usually, students start intermediate classes after they have done 16 previous beginners/improvers classes. These classes will expand your knowledge and skills by working with partners through elaborate sequences, several turns, and spinning patterns, more advanced footwork, to and according to the music.

Improvers Cuban Salsa Class
Cuban salsa is one of the most popular forms of salsa taught today alongside cross body salsa. Cuban salsa is danced in circular motions, rather than in straight lines. In this Cuban salsa class, you will learn the foundation of Salsa. During this class there will be a focus on building your confidence both individually and in couples, introducing new routines, more elaborated footwork, variations of the dancer's evolutions, change of positions and different turns and spinning patterns.
Advanced Salsa Class
This is an advanced salsa class and is perfect for you if you have a fairly strong experience in Salsa and are looking for an extra push and/or if you have been to regular to the Salsa classes at least once or twice a week for the last 6 to 8 months. You will explore fast-paced and challenging sequences, footwork, turns and spins patterns. Depending on your teacher, you will broaden your different styles and inspirations. You can attend this class as many times as you need to expand your skills and develop your techniques.
Bachata Class for Beginners
Bachata is a style of salsa dance that originated in the Dominican Republic. It is danced widely all over the world but not identically. The basics to the dance are three-step with a Cuban hip motion, followed by a tap including a hip movement on the 4th beat. This is the perfect class for anyone who's never learned the Bachata before and are keen on giving it a go for the first time. You will be lead through the basic steps and foot patterns of Bachata, basic turns, and change of positions, individually and in couples. Usually, students attend between 5-8 beginners class before they are confident to move up to the Bachata Improver class.
Salsa and Bachata Workshop
This is an intensive Latin Dance Workshop for all styles and levels every other Thursday at the St M Moorfields Hall, London. Enjoy a 3 hours Salsa and Bachata Workshop with top teachers and a friendly atmosphere. This series of workshops will consist of 90 minutes of Salsa followed by 90 minutes of Bachata so you have a substantial amount of time to learn enough in both styles at the same time as you have fun and make friends.
