Really enjoyed learning about the different grains of wood and using the tools in the workshop. Richard was very informative and certainly knows his stuff! I got to make my own serving board which was a present for my mum at Christmas, it now takes pride of place in her kitchen. Looking forward to trying the resin course.
Friendly atmosphere, great workshop and instruction. Highly recommend.
A fantastic morning with Richard. Lasted longer than the advertised time.
A great way to spend a Sunday morning, with a knowledgeable and patient teacher. And you come away with something beautiful. Thanks, Jamie
Had such a great morning with Richard. We made superb breadboards but really enjoyed making them. We will be back to do something else soon! Highly recommend.
It was great learning about Jesmonite resin and Richard was a very informative teacher. I’ll be back for more classes!

Had a brilliant time at the Seascapes course. Richard is very knowledgeable and extremely passionate about resin. He spent time explaining everything to us, and why we were doing it, but also gave us artistic licence with our own projects! A must do for everyone! Thank you!
Loved doing the coffee table course! Richard was helpful and patient - I enjoyed every moment and I have a beautiful coffee table to show off 😁

A fantastic intro into resin pouring. Really clear instruction from Richard in a great workshop, with a lovely bunch of people on the course. Definitely recommend!
Very informative and productive class for everyone wanting to learn the first steps to dive into the epoxy world . Richard was very patient and helpful every step of the way, and answered all my questions, I enjoyed the class so much that I booked another session the same day for a part two.Highly recommend.
I really enjoyed the 2nd part of the Epoxy Resin workshop it was good to see how you can change the epoxy from shiny to matt and use all the power tools. I might have to book myself on the power tool course as well. I would recommend this course and the part 1
Richard was exceptional, for this second part of the workshop. I overcame some nervousness around certain power tools, and I'm delighted with the end result. Now I just need to work out what I'm going to try to make at home.
Very nice little class the teacher was very helpful with everything, surely a nice beginner class thanks
I attended Part 1 of the Beginners Epoxy Resin Workshop in September and Part 2 (Resin finishing) in November. Both Parts were well organised and managed by Richard Wagner and attended by like-minded people. I learnt quite a lot more about resin than I had gleaned from websites, etc and came away with a number of tips that will ensure a much greater chance of success when carrying out my own projects. The second Finishing part includes the use of some fairly specialist equipment. The courses last as long as they take so that everyone goes away happy.
A great morning spent learning- very interactive and fun. We will be back for more!
Venue was clean and presented pieces already made really well, the teacher was brilliant very clear instructions and knowledgable, enjoyed it so much me and my partner stayed on to do another piece. Would highly recommended this course, we enjoyed it so much we will be booking the second part to this course very soon
Fantastic beginners intro to woodworking
What a great introduction to working with Resin we had! Richard is charismatic and so knowledgeable in his teaching, making the class fun, relaxed and open to individual creativity. By your own for a few hours of self indulging or part of a group of friends, this was an extremely satisfying experience! Highly recommended; try it!
Thanks for a great intro to working with resin. The class prepares you by letting you make a mould and pour resin for the first time using all materials and facilities provided by River Shop. Much better than watching YouTube and messing up your kitchen!!
Has a great morning learning about epoxy resin! The course was both fun and informative and I'm looking forward to returning to learn more! Fab!
I attended the Beginners Epoxy Resin Workshop & Charcuterie classes and am so pleased that I plucked up my nerves to attend. I absolutely loved these courses and learnt so much about the processes, materials and playing with the different colours for the 'river'. Richard was awesomely helpful and approachable. As the sessions were back to back, it would've been great to have a quick coffee break as there was a lot to take in. My only other request would be to have a fact sheet covering all that we covered to refer back to - but I believe this is in hand and look forward to any supporting material. I really want to delve deeper into using epoxy resin and start creating my own ideas and am very much looking forward to attending the next course to make a coffee table. Thank you Richard and see you in January 2025!! 😊
Absolutely fabulous!!! Richard really makes sure you understand the process and most importantly why we do things! The class is a really nice size - relaxed but gives everything you need, as a novice, to get a great introduction and feel enthused to carry on! Can’t wait for the next one!
I took this class as I am interested in trying to use epoxy for a project and I have no experience of it. The course was full of lots of useful information and Richard answered every question I had however stupid and also gave advice on how I could start my project. I enjoyed this course so much I did the seascape course which showed how you can use epoxy in a different way this course was also very interesting and informative. I would recommend both courses.
Great workshop with a very knowledgeable teacher
The class I did was brilliant, very informative and enjoyable, really looking forward to seeing the finished product at the end of part 2 of the course
We had the beginner class as a family with our 9 year old daughter. Richard made sure that everyone in the class get the skills do complete a project independently. It was great fun. Highly recommended.
I went back for the beginners epoxy resin workshop - part 2 and the workshop was as informative as part 1. Richard, who runs the workshops, was very clear in his explanations and so happy to answer lots of questions. For a complete novice like myself these courses are perfect and after course support is there as well.
Great introduction to working with wood & epoxy and the tools. Richard has an engaging style and was very approachable . I completed both course part together , which enabled me to follow the basics to finished product. Throughly recommend you get down to this great learning. space over looking the Thames
Good fun, informative and great to get hands on with the preparation and the use of epoxy
Good session following on from part 1. Useful to get some experience working with the tools (chop saw, bench saw, router and sanders). Great applying the oil and seeing the final product
Great courses. Very useful for starting out using resin.
A great workshop for beginners, in which you will be given all the tools (pun intended) you need to feel confident shaping and finishing wood into a beautiful end product. Overall an interesting, relaxing and memorable experience!
This was my 3rd class with Richard at The Rivershop and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed them all. It was great to get more experience with some of the woodworking tools and processes I learned in the Beginners Breadboard class and I’m delighted with my coasters and charcuterie board - so glad I went for the upgrade 😊
Great workshop and facility. Immensely rewarding!
A great beginners course! The workshop is great and the equipment was laid out very clearly. Richard was great at explaining in detail and happily answered everyone’s questions, big or small. I would highly recommend and will be going back for part 2!
My brother and I signed up for the breadboard making workshop which we both thoroughly enjoyed. As an absolute beginner to any form of woodwork, we were taken steadily through the process step by step and were able to practise our skills before making our final piece. The pace of the session was great, all the resources well prepared and each step very clearly explained with support given as needed. We were both very proud of our lovely breadboards which now have pride of place in our respective kitchens. Thank you Richard. I would highly recommend this workshop to others !!!
Had a lovely morning playing with resin in the beautiful river shop studio. It was a great introduction to using resin and I'd love to come back for me workshops in the future
The workshop was absolutely amazing, a very memorable experience. Richard was very thorough in his explanations, there was a lot of valuable information given during the workshop. There was also plenty of opportunities to try all the machines, which made the workshop very engaging. And cherry on a cake is that you get your own breadboard as a result. Highly recommend the workshop to anyone who wants to taste what it’s like to work with wood.
I really enjoyed this workshop on a rainy bank holiday Saturday morning. Richard is happy to answer all and every question you might have. A great selection of flowers were available to choose from and it was fun to create beautiful coasters. Can't wait until they're dried and out of the moulds
Amazing class. Took it with my best friend and daughter, we all enjoyed it and loved our final work. It’s a class that I would prefer it started just an hour later…
I really enjoyed this course; it was relaxing and well-paced. The materials are all included in the price (which helps!), and the class is not overcrowded so you get a fair shot at asking the facilitator questions. There was a slight mishap with my communications (I was sent communication that stipulated the wrong time). I really wanted to attend the class so I stayed in the area for a few hours, which thankfully had some interesting spots to hangout (namely the Arts Cafe by the river). It was an awesome day weather-wise so certainly wasn't wasted. Upon finding out the mishap, Richard (the facilitator) was very apologetic and as compensation allowed me to upgrade the course free of charge. It was certainly nice to have that customer care, and I really appreciated the opportunity. I would certainly attend another course. Fantastic workshop environment, well organised, and instructions were clear.
I attended this class having had a very small dabble with epoxy resin in the past. It was a very informative experience and a real eye opener to the sorts of things that can be done with resin. There are more advanced classes for those wanting to take it to a higher level. Thoroughly recommended
Great class, really learnt a lot and such good fun. Highly recommended.
Well thought out short course for beginers. Well taught and yet relaxed. Tutor had good knowledge and well communicated. I would recommend.
I came back from this workshop buzzing! Can't believe I made a breadboard, pretty one too (just wish it was a tiny bit bigger). Was initially a little daunted as I wasn't sure what to expect or whether I'd be able to use all the machinery to make a quality end product but all was explained and demonstrated quite clearly. There was lots of time to get it right. This workshop is not just for the guys. Girls, have a go! A great entry level wood working workshop for those wanting something unique.
Great experience making something useful and stunning with your own hands, even if you've never tried before.
Thoroughly Enjoyable. The Class was led well and the process of creating the table from 2 planks of wood to a fantastic Resin Table was a great experience. Thanks
I took this class with my friend and daughter and I must say we all enjoyed the class equally. It’s a class for all ages and your creativity with colors and placing the flowers really show. The location was a bit far for me but once we got there we forgot the distance we drove to get there and had a wonderful time. Looking around the workshop I felt like I am ready to sign up for other classes. Loved the class will definitely sign up for another one soon.
I had a wonderful time learning how to dry flowers and the basics of epoxy. Richard was very warm and enthusiastic, and everything was very clear and organized. The selection of dried flowers allowed for a fun and creative experience!
just finished a 2 day course making a river coffee table. brilliant, richard was so helpful and knowledgeable about resin. top grade tools. i walked away with my table pleased as punch kev
This was my second workshop with The Rivershop - I previously did the Beginner’s Breadboard and this time I did the introduction to Epoxy Resin. I thoroughly enjoyed the class - Richard is extremely knowledgeable and generously shares tips and tricks he has learned through experience. I upgraded to the charcuterie board and I’m excited to come back for part two when I will finish off that, and the coasters I began in part one.
Brilliant course for those wanting to try resin. Really enjoyed this workshop it’s an excellent venue, easy to find / park with great facilities. Richard our tutor was lovely and very knowledgeable, it was easy to follow his instructions. A thoroughly enjoyable way to spend an afternoon I would highly recommend.
After a friends recommendation, i finally booked this class and it was amazing. Richard made us all feel at ease; giving expert tuition, but with a great attitude to allow for creativity. You leave having the skills to try this on your own, which is surely the objective of such a course 😊, but there are also options for going further into different courses (which I'll definitely try). This was a class that had been on my wish list for some time and I'm really so glad I did it.
Absolutely amazing. Richard is patient and knowledgeable, and he goes above and beyond to ensure that we are happy with the piece we made. Very interesting and fun class and very happy with my charcuterie board and coasters. I think the sessions are well priced for what we get out of them Considering returning for more!!! Thank you for this wonderful experience.
Great class taught by Richard. Took us through everything we needed to know to use epoxy. I'll be back for more tuition after I have tried it at home too.

Really pleased to have done Part 2 of the beginners course. The course was delivered very well and every detail was taken care of, it’s the small things that count. Came away with a lovely pair of coasters and inspiration to do my own work.
Had a lot of fun. Needed more time.
Informative and fun lesson. Thanks very much. 🤓
Good day, very informative! Richard is very friendly and cool location.
Great experience and beautiful finished product!
Attended the breadboard class. So fun and informative. Went with my partner and it felt like a perfect couples fun thing to do and we got to have an amazing unique breadboard forever at the end. The teacher was so patient and answered all our questions and gave me the confidence to use the power tools. He also wasn't overbearing so it felt like we were left to create our own ideas and really gain confidence with wood working. He explained all the steps and why things are used so that we aren't just coming in making a breadboard and leaving but having the knowledge and understanding to continue working with wood again. Couldn't recommend it more.
Fantastic class, I tried to do my own resin at home without much success! The class was really relaxing, the teacher patient and ready to answer any questions! The results are amazing! Now my son wants to do a class too!
Well paced, clearly taught session. Friendly and knowledgeable tutor and had fun using the machinery that I hadn’t used before. Excellent result, proud of the bread board I made and will be using it for many years to come!
It was my first time and I was kinda nervous cause I had never tried anything artistic. But Richard was very professional and helpful. He guided us through the whole process, answering even my silly questions. After the first round, I was confident enough to get my hands dirty for the next level. Would def recommend people to have this experience, and I'll be back for more :)
Great class which was fun to attend. Richard made it a truly enjoyable class. I am looking forward to part two.
I had been interested in working with epoxy resin for some time and this course was a great introduction. Richard was brilliant at taking us through every stage of the process. Everything was well-thought out - all the materials were provided to each individual, and thorough explanations were given regarding the process and common things to be aware of. I thought the group size was about right (in this case 6 people attended), given the size of the space. A very relaxed and friendly workshop. I've already recommended it to friends and would definitely consider attending another one.
Really good course. Instructor was really knowledgeable and very forthcoming with advice. Would highly recommend! Looking forward to the second section.
A well presented workshop, very informative. Great to meet people with similar interest in this excellent workshop environment.
The Seascapes session is perfect for beginners and I was impressed at how easy it was for even people with little art talent (like me!). It helped that the instructor Richard explained everything clearly and answered all our questions. I was also impressed that he included even little details that would help should we decide to take this up at home. I recommend the River Shop and this course without reservation and would like to come back to participate in more of them.
It was an excellent session. Wonderful instructor who explained everything very clearly. Looking forward to coming back for more
nice course, good teacher. Had fun.
I had a really great afternoon at the workshop. It was calm, friendly and well organised. The instructions were clear and we had lots of time to practise on scraps before making our final boards. I was surprised how much I loved using the power tools and the resulting bread boards, sanded and oiled, were beautiful. Highly recommended.
I learned quite a lot, the fact that flowers require a certain preparation, the resin used must be chosen according to the thickness of the object we are making and that we need a lot of imagination. The location was wonderful, the workshop was supported by Richard and he was very open to all the questions that I had. Thank you for this experience

First time doing woodwork and I really enjoyed this. A great introduction to working with wood and getting to use some great machinery. It was actually really nice to be up early meeting new folk and bonding over this experience. I hope we can get on to some more advanced lessons in future.
I love this course. Richard is a great tutor, very informative and easy to follow. I'm looking forward to do another course soon. Thank you!
Great class. Really enjoyed learning how to work with epoxy resin and can’t wait to receive my finished product! Highly recommend.
I had a great time time learning about and trying resin pouring. I'm looking forward to the next one :)
Absolutely first rate course and excellent instruction. Thanks guys.
The class was exciting and informative. Had a lot of fun working on sea scapes.
The course is fantastic and definitely lived up to my expectations. I feel that it offered a great balance between education on why we were doing things in certain ways, while also just letting us get on with it. I’m looking forward to doing some further courses with the team here.
Many thanks. Instructor is approachable and knowledgeable. Was great to be able to learn and use the machines. Perhaps could have legs for the tables to attach too. Consider providing discount for multiple courses?
Amazing afternoon of tuition and fun at the Rivershop. Top class guidance in a small group with time to get to grips with power tools. I’m definitely heading back for another course soon or maybe a matching pair of breadboards!
I did the seascape masterclass. it was really good fun. Richard was very informative and explained the process extremely clearly. Would highly recommend.
We attended a Saturday class and really enjoyed the experience. It provided a good introduction to Epoxy Resin pouring. The tuition was easy to follow and understand.. The only build is we would have liked to have learned more about how the colours work before making our pours.
The course was well presented, Richard was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the session. The facilities/workshop was well laid out with all required materials being available. The class size was just right and the instruction was well paced. I came away having gained hands on experience and confident that I can move forward to start my own projects. Thanks for a great day.
Really enjoyed the Beginners Epoxy Resin workshop and I will be returning for the second part. Richard is a great instructor. The workshop was informative and well-organised. Definitely a good introduction to epoxy resin and I feel confident that I can now try more of this at home.
Excellent class from a very knowledgeable teacher. Had a great time!
A great class - very informative and enjoyable getting the chance to use resin for the first time. Richard’s approach was spot on and he answered everyone’s questions with ease and shared some great tips.
I had a lovely time on the seascape workshop. I learnt a lot and have some coasters and a chopping board I'm really pleased with.

We had an amazing time at the seascape workshop. Richard was very helpful and everything came out beautifully. Thank you 🙂
Had an amazing time - learnt a lot!

Workshop was good. Teacher was informative and friendly. I did not like that you must write a review to get your item shipped for free. Class is not cheap so I think it should be included regardless. Not everyone likes writing reviews or have the time to do so.

Enjoyed the class. A few health and safety concerns when using power tools and felt the teacher should have been a bit more present during this part, however overall a good experience and in fairness, we were a big group.

I can highly recommend this workshop. Richard took the time to explain the theory behind the processes used and we had the opportunity to practice each step before applying what we’d learned, to make our board. The class was fun, the pace was relaxed, I learned a lot and I love my breadboard!
The breadboard course was excellent. I had very little experience in working with wood and the tools required for this. With Richard's explanations and guidance though, I was able to produce a board I am very happy with. He goes at a good pace, answers any questions and gives you the confidence to produce a piece you will be proud of. I look forward to my next project!
Had a brilliant time - instructor was super knowledgeable and patient with us. Feel really excited about coming back for more courses, and would highly recommend the table top workshop for anyone looking to gain more experience with woodworking techniques and equipment.
I really enjoyed the Bread Board workshop - the class was relaxed, informative and fun. Richard shared his experience and love for woodwork and we all created unique pieces under his guidance. I'd highly recommend this class.
Hi. I wish to have a Richard as a teacher through my education haha. Can’t recommend him more highly. I come as a beginner and end up doing all floors and shower panels at my flat by myself. Second course I came to learn how to do a river tables to upgrade my furniture. I’m very well prepared after the course with Richard so will be pure enjoyment to do something unique.
Learnt a lot about the process and reasons behind what we were doing. Instructor was friendly and the class was fun. Organising the class was also done well and they were accomdating as well :)

Brilliant. Two days very much hands on from a true novice to acheive a beautiful table top. Atrisan environment, light, airy, everything you need and when it comes to tools - the best in the market. Feeling like I'd done everything myself but also realising how Richard provided instruction, guidance as well as small nudges and artistic insightul encouragement to maximise both our enjoyment and recovery from our mistakes throughout. Yes we went over the posted hours, but to be honest, being absorbed and involved inthe whole resin river table process felt like time didn't matter. Two outcomes - walking away with a resin river table I made and am proud of as well as a trigger to explore further with the lessons I have gained. And don't get me going on the absolute joy of having such free access to the Festool tools. Richard is a great facilitator - teacher or trainer is too harsh, and obviously glows in the successes his students achieve.
Came away with a lot of knowledge for basic resin pouring. Very friendly and informative teacher.

The teacher was friendly and informative, and the result looked great. There were some safety issues with power tool usage which I have discussed privately with the organizers - they have said these will be addressed.
I had a great time making a breadboard and learned lots of new skills
Really enjoyed the workshop, very excited to use my bread board!
The teacher was very knowledgable and the class was excellent.
It was great fun! Very helpful teacher and the workshop was awesome.
It was a great activity for a Hen Do! 😁

This Seascape workshop covered so much in the 2.5 hours . Dan our teacher was super knowledgeable and guided us through the process of working with resin. Doing it with a group is helpful to see and hear what the others are doing .Hope to come back for more !
It was amazing! We enjoyed the workshop with my partner! We'll be back for another class!

So happy after part 1 & 2, professional teachers, lovely workshop academy 1 I recomand !!!
We had lovely Dan leading the lesson. Very attentive and explained the steps to us loud and clearly. Always fascinated with resin and seascapes. It was exciting from start to finish, Sister and I had a really fun time pouring our own coasters. It's amazing how everyone's coaster looks so different and so beautiful in their own ways. Can't wait to get our coasters through the post 😊🩵
Excellent course! Really fun and engaging. The teacher was great and I really felt like I learnt enough to try some resin art at home in the future!
Great class that made us feel we could make beautiful resin pieces after just a couple hours!
Really enjoyed the course. Great location, easy to find, spacious workshop and very clear instructions from Dan. The only thing I would have liked more of would be on techniques for the colouring of the resin.
I have been thinking of attending this workshop and so glad I could finally do it. Dan was very helpful, guided through the process and patiently answered all the questions we had. 9 of us did 4 coasters each and every single coaster was unique and beautiful. Thoroughly enjoyed and recommend !
I did three course in one day and I have to that Dan was as helpful and friendly on the last course as he was on the first course. Really well delivered and at the end of the day I felt confident to to try for myself. Well worth it.

Great course! Very instructive and fun. Great instructor, lots of detailed tips and tricks.
The whole experience was thoroughly enjoyable, the instructor was very knowledgeable and patient with all attendees of the class. The end product looks amazing and I can't wait to show off my new breadboard! Definitely considering signing up the the epoxy class next!
I think it’s a really good intro to Resin craft and could suit any beginners.
Great & fun class! It was wonderful learning about resin in a class setting. Highly recommended!
Great way to learn the techniques and tricks. Excellent trainers, learn by just doing with instruction along the way. Great fun too, so inspirational, want to do more!
Had so much fun finishing off our river pour projects. Highly recommended and we feel ready to take on our projects now!
This class was my birthday present and this is something I wanted to try for a really long time. The teacher was great! I'm unable to give a full 5-star rating because we didn't get enough wooden pieces for our resin work, even though there was plenty of resin left. We had limited practice time, and if you wanted to do more, you had to pay quite a bit extra for more wood, around £50-60.
Enjoyed the workshop very much. Richard is knowledgeable and the session was very informative. It was first time for us to try Epoxy resin but made us want to try more workshops in the future - highly recommended!
I had a lovely morning at our Seascape Resin Course. I learnt so much and it made me want to continue on this journey and try some other of their courses. Matt was great, really helpful and knowledgable. Have a go, it was so much fun.
Very fun class covering a number of tools and techniques
A great example of why YouTube videos only get you half way toward understanding how to do something new. The tips and tricks of the trade that Richard and Dan imparted over my two half day courses (in one day) will I am certain help to avoid many £100s of wasted materials and an immeasurable amount of frustration. I now feel that I have the confidence in the process of developing resin based pieces, limited only by my artistic and creative capabilities! The guys had no limit as to how much of their knowledge and experience they were willing to share - way beyond the actual pieces developed in class. Oh, and they're really nice blokes too....
Very proffesional, clear explanatiins, I highly recomand.
Had a really enjoyable morning and learnt so much about resin art. Matt is a great teacher. Really looking forward to getting my coasters
Doing the class was great fun. Our teacher Dan was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable.
Dan was a really good instructor, full of practical knowledge not only about woodwork and crafting techniques but also timbre itself - I enjoying learning about all the techniques, terminology and getting to use the powered machines. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars: I understand that we are learning the basics, and it is very clearly explained that you will just be making a table-top as a learning experience - however, I became invested in my small piece and very much would like the option to come back to craft and attach small legs to my table-top to make it a fully functional bit of furniture. Dan mentioned a two-day course they were developing that including making the legs too - if I was given this option to come back a second day to make the legs for my table, I would give this experience 5 stars.
I really enjoyed this course. Although a complete novice everything was explained really well, I learnt how to use lots of different tools and machinery and I ended up actually making something that I will be proud to use at home. Brilliant!
Excellent course, really enjoyed it. Good environment, equipment and knowledgable engaging coach.
Excellent class! Dan was a great tutor breaking down concepts, keeping us engaged with questions, giving clear guidance and helpful corrections for a safe and enjoyable hands-on experience.

Knowledgeable & helpful tutor, detailed instruction on how to operate routers, chop saws & belt sander in well equipped workshop. Will definitely attend another course at River Workshop!

Dan was a great trainer, everyone seemed to have a great time and picked up new valuable life skills. Would recommend this course to others!
An all round excellent course. Learnt lots, very informative, left feeling very inspired! Would love to come back!

They said they will mail me my piece after it dries, if I leave a review (but the review doesn't have to be positive). So here it is! The instructor was good and funny. The class was well-organized. I don't know how it turned out yet though because I haven't received it yet :) What the listing didn't mention is that this is the "Part 1" class. There's also a "Part 2" class where you sand and finish the piece to make it look nicer. I would have appreciated knowing that up front. Overall, I enjoyed it.
I had the best day! It was my first time away from my little boy and what a way to spend a morning! I thoroughly enjoyed it and think I may have a new hobby! The team were great and so friendly and informative. I cannot wait to see my finished pieces, they will take pride of place in my home. Already booked my next class with The River Shop and will be bringing my husband along too!

I really enjoyed the seascapes masterclass! It was a lovely way to spend a couple of hours learning a new craft. I came away feeling like i’d gained some technical knowledge of working with epoxy resin, and the teacher was very happy to answer general questions about working with different types of resin. On the other hand, it was really well managed so it was almost impossible to mess up the resin and everyone left with unique but beautiful coasters. I chose not to do a bigger piece at the end, but bear in mind to budget for another £40++ for an add-on object.
A truly unique experience. It was a really well run course, with great teachers, great tools and great equipment. Not only that, but you also end up with a great breadboard (which will last a long long time) as a reminder of your day. Couldn't recommend this course enough. 10/10!
It was good fun and good team building! Tho I haven't gotten my board!
Great course. Great instructor. Clear and informative instructions but a handout would have been helpful.
An excellent intro to epoxy resin course, incredibly well prepared, paced and presented, with lots of time to ask individualized questions.
Great fun course. Learnt a bit and got to make a nice little board.
We had great fun and learnt a lot. Only wish we could do the 2 stages closer together or have the team finish off hte thing we make before they ship to us.
Very pleasant to be part of the course. Very well explained and very friendly. Never be bored to take part of o e of the course. Well done
One of the courses which I will go again and again and never bored to be there. Very friendly and well explained courses. As a suggestion I would say to give a paper with basic informations or give a bit of time to the person to take some note. Anyway I very appreciate that you guys after the course answer our questions or keep in touch with us for anything.
Fantastic follow up to the beginners part one. Learnt more things about working with and finishing off resin.
I had a Sea Scape masterclass and love it. It was fun and learnt a lot . I will definitely come back for another class. Thank you so much, it was fantastic :)
Very interactive and fun. Dan the instructor was very knowledgeable and passionate. I’m looking forward to the next course
A great into to the world of resin art. Carefully explained and a fun experience
Great beginner course, thank you very much
I bought my husband, Rashed, an Epoxy Resin for Beginners workshop as a Christmas present. He attended on 3rd Feb and found the session really informative and engaging. He said the teacher, Richard, was very knowledgable and patient, and he found the whole experience very encouraging. He is keen to refund to another workshop at River Shop in the future. Thank you so much!
A great and thorough introduction. Methodical, imaginative and enjoyable, Richard's precise approach makes the whole process enormous fun.
Pros - You get the opportunity to utilise workshop tools - You will learn a basic knowledge of tree to lumber process - You will be briefly shown how to use tools Cons - Class is an "intro to table making" yet you make a large chopping board, which they describe in follow up emails as a "coaster" - Teacher wasn't instructive, and gave off a "I'm doing you a favour being here" vibe - They were unprepared for the class, having not prepared the wood - They complain about wood bought from B&Q, but the class uses...wood bought from B&Q - They make you provide reviews to get delivery of your item, only mentioned at the end of the class
From the moment we arrived there was a welcoming attitude. Both of the instructors were so willing to help and were incredibly patient as we grappled with machinery and skills for the first time. All in all, it was a really rewarding and enjoyable experience.

I had a fantastic time. The instructors are super nice. There's an emphasis on safety which is much appreciated for a beginner like me! Many tips were given that would apply outside the workshop as well and I feel like I've learned tons. I'd highly recommend it.
I bought the breadboard class for my boyfriends Christmas present and it was absolutely brilliant - Richard took time to explain everything in great detail to make sure we understood every process. I had a really great afternoon and came away with something I’m really proud of - can’t recommend this enough. We’ll definitely be back to try another class
I thoroughly enjoyed taking this class yesterday. I would definitely recommend The Rivershop. I plan to take The beginners Epoxy Resin Class next. Thanks for a very well thought out 4 hours of learning
I had a great time at the seascapes workshop. This is now the third or fourth class I’ve done and it is always well run and very satisfying. I chose to also do a seascape in a circular tray (which is extra). The class was clear and well instructed. I tried a few different designs/layouts to see how it would work and had some mixed results on the coasters which gave me some more confidence ahead of my tray. I’m looking forward to see how they all turned out. I still have the coasters I made in two of the other classes which I use every day. My partner has hers on her work desk so gets to see them every day which I think is a nice reminder of a great experience.

Really enjoyed the Seascapes class.
I learnt a lot about how to prep for epoxy work and the teacher was very helpful with explaining the process and any questions that i had.
Amazing experience!
I have learned how to create a small epoxy resin river board, it was an amazing experience, I ca only recommend it. So much fun!
Just did the beginners resin workshop and it was really useful. Learnt stuff not found on the Internet! Richard was great. Recommend this to anyone looking at doing resin projects.

Had a great class and lots of fun. A very relaxed but informative session and made some lovely pieces of art which I can’t wait to put up at home! Thank you
The class was fun and beginner-friendly.
I booked an Epoxy Resin seascape, made 4 coasters, and upgraded to make a tray as well. The teacher was really friendly and ran the class smoothly. It is fun and beginner friendly, recommended.
The teacher, Richard, was great - really informative, personable and engaging. I was a complete beginner to anything like this and learnt loads thanks to him! The venue was very cool and all materials were provided. It was a little cold so I recommend taking layers if doing the workshop in winter. Something to note is that you don't really have a finished product after this workshop - you need to do part 2 to finish the item (I wasn't aware of this when booking). With this in ind it feels a little over priced. But all in all a great workshop and very informative.
Really fun afternoon. Very informative session and really happy with my coasters! Would definitely recommend.
This course is great, you can make some really amazing pieces in no time at all. Can’t wait to practice this new skill more.
Had a great time at the beginners epoxy resin class - Richard was a great teacher and we'll be back for the next one!
Class was excellent, arranged in very small groups so that the instructor was able to offer individual guidance and help where required. Will definitely be back
It was a great workshop, great teacher. All questions were answered and it was a great atmosphere !
The breadboard workshop was very good. I learned a lot and it just opened the door for many woodworking projects to come. I would recommend it to anyone in the beginning who is curious about woodworking.
I had such a great time at this session! It was perfect for a total beginner like me and it felt great to have made something by the end of it. The teacher Dan was very patient, informative and helpful throughout. Highly recommended!
Really enjoyed the class, teacher very knowledgeable and learnt a lot in the four hours and proud of the small table top I made 🙂 Thank you.
Really enjoyable. Dan (instructor) was great - super knowledgeable and interested in his profession. Could have been more practical would be only ask!
I loved the course, it was really engaging, full of practical knowledge and time to use the tools and the teacher really did his best to make sure we understood everything. Recommended!
Brilliant time, learnt alot
Really good experienc. Very informative

Was a really good experience and learned a lot. The teachers are good can pick there brains about everything
It was more than I expected, I'm going to book the next class ASAP! Can't wait!
Had a such a great time! You guys are great keep up the great work you guys are doing! Definitely coming back again! Thank you, from Latvian dude!:)
I decided to book a one-on-one river coffee table course after becoming concerned that the millions of YT videos available may not cover all the pitfalls of trying to attempt such a thing, alone. My initial contact with Richard was great and he was very accommodating with dates and times that suited me. The course itself was amazing. Dan was an excellent, patient and kind teacher - whom I bombarded with questions - and who took me through each stage, step by step, with loads of encouragement and plenty of good humour. During moments of self doubt, Dan was full of great advice and gentle, but firm, persuasion - even when it came to using certain power tools for the first time! I have learned so much and and am over the moon with my table. Knowing that I have access to Dan & Richard's expertise and the other resources they have recommended to me, moving forward, and that I have copious amounts of notes to refer to (and of course, the memories of everything I was taught), I now feel confident to tackle a project on my own. Thank you, River Shop. I will be back. The workshops and overall setting of your location are a creative's dream!
The teacher was very helpful and friendly, time flew by and wanted to learn more about the different machines and wood. The venue has different people working there so it was great seeing other creatives in action
Brilliant class with great tuition and experience of using woodworking tools
Great class – would recommend.
Amazing class to build a table top from beginning to end. Good introduction of woodworking in a fully-equipped workshop with explanations about types of wood, glues, tools, finishes, and curing oils. I enjoyed the experience a lot. In just 4 hours, you will end up with a finished solid wood table top. Very fulfilling.
Great class, very interactive and the teacher is knowledgable. Wide range of flower choices and materials so there is lots of room to be creative.

Brilliant introduction to resin use. Great teacher very knowledgeable and able answer all questions about the subject and more. Excellent equipment and facilities. Looing forward to doing the second part . Thanks lads
I enjoyed working on the 2 small river pieces. I will be back for a second class!
We both had a great time learning how to do seascapes. Dan have a very good demonstration, with clear explanations. Between all of us we made twenty coasters - every one a unique piece. It was exciting to learn how one little change of quantity or technique can change the look of a piece. There was a great mix of people in the small group, and we're looking forward to doing another class next year!

My husband and I had a great time in this class. This was the second time we've done this workshop, and Dan showed us new techniques for finishing our coasters. It was even more fun the second time around, and we've both grown in confidence thanks to Dan's patience and help.
Came for another session, this time in Seascapes. Dan was funny, a good teacher and happy with my coasters!
Amazing! I had a brilliant time and right from booking to the end result was a perfect experience. I can't wait to do another course!
What a great class. We made a breadboard and were shown how to use all of the necessary power tools to achieve this. We were told about different wood types, how to arrange the wood so that the grain was appropriate for shopping, how to use a mitre saw, how to use a belt sander, how to create corners and edges. I would like to come back and make something else!

I learnt how to make four resin coasters decorated with a seaside landscape and I absolutely loved it. The teacher was very good and explained very well what needed to be done. After making the coasters there was a possibility to upgrade to decorate a bigger project (wooden tray, chopping board…) you had to pay for this separately tho. I would definitely come back to try a different class in the future.
Dan and Richard are total experts. I learned so much & there is still so much more to learn, it’s a great way to spend an afternoon & a great hobby to learn. I will definitely be back for more classes.

After completing the beginners course in the morning this was a fantastic follow up to show the next stages. Staff and equipment were once again first class and i came away with renewed confidence moving forward.
A great course. The staff were very knowledgeable and no question was left unanswered. I came away with several tips which will make my future projects more succesful.
Really enjoyed this course, instructor was approachable and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend
Thoroughly enjoyed, thank you Dan and Richard for a great daya
Great part 2 to the class, there’s a lot that goes into the finishing, so I’m glad I booked part 2 also
Loved this, if you’re thinking about this class you should certainly go for it
Amazing class, very informative and great teachers, had a lot of fun and I highly recommend
Richard was a great tutor! I learnt a lot in a few hours, definitely worth the money!
Great class. The instructor made sure to explain clearly every step of the way and how to use the machines properly to avoid accidents. We end up with a beautiful bread board. Definitely recommend and will do the epoxy class soon.
The course was brilliantly run, the tutor was extremely knowledgeable and pitched the level of detail just right for those in the class, whether they were carpenters wanting to expand their skillset or middle aged ladies wanting to learn a new craft. And it was fun. Great class
Amazing from start to finish! I had to reschedule and they were super accommodating and today I went to the beginners resin course part one and learned loads. Can't wait to do another!
Excellent follow up course to the part 1 we did, I’m confident I can start using resin for my own projects now, thank you Dan and Richard
Excellent follow up course to the part 1 we did, I’m confident I can start using resin for my own projects now, thank you Dan and Richard
Thoroughly enjoyed this class, I have been interested in using resin and this gave me all the information I need to start making my own projects
I first was sceptical about booking part 2 as it was about finishing the resin, as a joiner I felt confident I’d be ok doing this. After attending, im glad I did as the process is different to what I imagined. I’d highly recommend this course
Very thorough and informative class, I would highly recommend this as I learned a lot.
River shop said they would post coasters free of charge if a review was left. I did not want to leave a review and said I would pay for postage. River shop ghosted me and I did not receive the coasters. Blackmail for reviews is unethical
Venue was good, free parking on site. Richard was a great teacher with a wealth of knowledge about Resin. I loved the class, stayed longer to do another piece and would definitely be back to do more classes with Richard.
Great class, amazing experience, very knowledgeable instructor, I'm definitely coming back!
Really enjoyed this class. I learnt something completely new and had fun whilst gaining confidence in sawing and sanding with power tools. I'm so happy with how my board turned out, can't wait to show it off.
I am very happy that I attended resin art for beginners class. I liked the way our teacher taught us with patience and was happy to clear our doubts. Looking forward to learn more from them.
The course was a lot of fun, it was very easy for a complete beginner to produce something really nice. I learnt a lot of useful info and the instructor was very patient, helpful, and knowledgeable.
I’ve been interested in doing a resin project for a long time but haven’t got the experience or knowledge & always felt it was very daunting but Richard put me at ease. He was very professional & explained everything in great detail. He has a very calm nature & made everything seem easier than I had imagined. Will deffo book up for more projects in future. 👍👍
Brilliant afternoon! Richard was a great teacher and talked us through each step. The class was well prepared and taken at a steady, un-rushed pace. I have definitely got the bug for resin craft now and will be booking p2 of the course to learn how to finish the piece off. Great fun!
Was great, lovely teacher. It was quite a lot of "deadtime" that could have been more efficient so we would have had time to learn or test more things.
Really enjoyed the seascapes resin course and was so pleased with what I created under Richard's instruction.
Good beginner course to learn about river pours using raw edge wood and resin. Lots of choice of colours for the resin section. It's a shame you have to come back to finish the product (we live miles away). Maybe provide some basic instructions for finishing for those who can not come back easily?
The team at the River Shop were excellent, the lesson was clear, and the epoxy river we made looked fantastic. I am about to book more lessons there.
Had a very enjoyable morning doing the seascape resin course ran by Richard. Not done anything like this before but would love to do it again, Richard explained every thing in simple easy to follow instructions and the end results were better than expected 👍
Great workshop. Nice introduction to woodworking.
The bread board class was excellent! Great level for beginners and very informative with the right blend of useful wood working knowledge and learning the practical skills.
Had a great time making the cutting board, Dan was super helpful in explaining all the steps from tool use to safety and general woodwork tips. Highly recommend to anyone considering starting their woodwork journey :)
The bread board making workshop was a lot of fun. The teachers are really knowledgeable and supportive.
Really enjoyed the breadboard making. The group was a good size, and the class really well paced. Got to learn different tools and techniques and really pleased with the end result. Thanks Dan!
Absolutely loved the breadboard making class from arrival to finish. During the course our teacher Dan enhanced our knowledge of types and suitability of different woods. We learnt how to use electric power tools for cutting, sanding and routing with plenty of practice before starting on our breadboard. The finished breadboard was the icing on the cake!
The breadboard workshop is a fantastic activity that is perfect for beginners. It offers an enjoyable experience and would make an excellent gift for anyone interested in woodworking but hasn’t had the opportunity to try it. As someone who attended the workshop as a complete novice, I found it to be a fun experience with friendly staff. However, there were a few aspects that made the overall experience less than perfect: The course is quite expensive, but unfortunately, you don’t have the option to choose the wood you’ll be working with. This can lead to inconsistent results across sessions, including variations in breadboard wood quality, final product aesthetics, and feel. Given the price, I would have preferred the ability to select my own wood. Additionally, you aren’t allowed to take your piece home after the workshop, and delivery is not included. To receive your breadboard, you must write a review, which will then be shipped to you free of charge. Otherwise you need to go to the workshop a second time to take your piece. During my visit, the workshop was plagued by electrical problems that forced me to return twice without any compensation or benefits to make up for the inconvenience. On my second visit, I had to sit through an hour of the course that I had already completed without any additional tasks, which was rather dull. It would have been appreciated if more care had been taken in handling this situation. Overall, despite these issues, it was still an enjoyable experience.
The breadboard workshop is a fun and beginner-friendly activity . I would recommend it as a gift for someone who is interested in woodworking but never got the chance to do anything of sort. I went there as a complete novice, the experience was fun and everyone was friendly and patient! That said, there were a couple of things that made the whole experience less than a 10/10: 1. The course is reasonably expensive, but for the price you cannot choose the wood that you are working with. This leads to some pretty inconsistent results across sessions, with breadboard wood quality, final product aesthetics, and feel that can vary. I would have preferred choosing my wood for the price. 2. Similarly, you cannot take your piece home after the workshop, and delivery is not included. You have to write a review to have the breadboard shipped to you for free. 3. The workshop was marred by electrical problems when I was there, which forced me to return twice without any discount or benefit to make up for the trouble. On the second occasion, I had to attend an hour of the course that I had already completed without any additional tasks, which was quite boring. A bit more care while dealing with the situation would have been appreciated. Overall still quite fun as an experience even if lacking a bit of general care dealing with costumers! I hope this review helps!
very useful to learn that only need to sand to 400 grit!!
Very enjoyable in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere
Enjoyable class I wish I had paid more attention I would have had a better end result
Really great class with Dan! My fiance and I learned so much and cannot believe we built something so amazing with our own two hands.
Dan took us through the process of finishing our resin coasters. He was great at explaining how and why we did each step, how to use the specialist equipment and how to achieve similar results at home. We were surprised how much work goes into the finishing, and as complete beginners we found Dan to be very patient and encouraging.
Richard gave us a warm welcome. We were on the beginners course. Richard taught us how to create a mould, calculate and mix the resin, and gave lots of tips for taking this hobby further. He was a great teacher, asking, encouraging and answering questions throughout the session. Richard is an expert in resin and we would recommend this course to anyone. All materials and equipment were provided and we had lots of fun being creative and getting messy.
Had such a great time turning the pieces we made in part one into our coaster. Dan was so helpful and guided on every step. Once again we highly recommend.
Great workshop! Dan explained the process, tools and other equipment really well. We made lovely items and I now feel much more confident to tackle my own projects.
Really enjoyed the beginners woodworking: make a breadboard workshop. Great instructor, clear instructions for each machine used. Good pace. Would definitely recommend. I will be looking at other courses. Thanks for a great afternoon.
The breadboard making workshop I attended was great! Our instructor Dan gave us lots of detailed explanations and tips and tricks, the workshop is equipped with some great kit and you get loads of hands on practice with it. Highly recommended and I’ll definitely be in touch again with the Rivershop for some personal projects, can’t wait!
Really enjoyed the course. Lots of hands-on practice with key woodworking equipment and practical tips for future projects.
I had been massively looking forward to this class and it did not disappoint, quite the opposite. We had the opportunity to try out different power tools and ask any questions, about any aspect of woodworking. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed, and the end result of my breadboard was way better than I had expected!
A great morning class for all levels, and one that encourages creative approaches to make unique seascapes! Some solid guidance from Richard showed how you can confidently work with epoxy resin on your own projects – most definitely worth trying out!
Was great and useful, thank you
Great class. Fantastic facilities and tuition. A great introduction to epoxy and wood - will definitely be back. Thank you
I've played with resin for 4 years but so useful to get a few tips and new ideas. excellent. thanks.
I loved the seascapes class, Richard is incredibly passionate about epoxy resin and woodwork, and is very knowledgeable, no matter how many questions you throw at him! Everyone in the class was able to produce beautiful coasters, serving boards and artwork under his guidance, and I feel much more confident with the medium now. I'd love to return and do one of his other workshops and will likely be gifting a few of the at home starter kits as Christmas presents too. Can't wait to receive my finished pieces :)
How to seal the wood, pour the resin and how create a wavy seascape scene art piece. The teacher was friendly and a great teacher, very helpful. The venue was very warm but that's because on the day it was very hot outside, the teacher did what he could to reduce the heat, otherwise the venue was nice enough and had a decent amountcofcparking available. I'd certainly recommend the course Course done: 10am, 9th Sept 2023

Excellent course well structured, very enjoyable, inclusive, fun and relaxed enviroment. Richard is a great teacher, all our trays were ready with the required tools, he broke down the steps in a bite size manner making sure each one of us understand and followed along. He has a lovely relaxed teaching style making the course fun and relaxed.
I really enjoyed the workshop and seeing it through to completion. Great workshop.
The seascapes workshop was great. The teachers are very knowledgeable and supportive.
Inspirational and fun, I loved learning about creating seascapes. Our Tutor Dan was knowledgeable and helpful, taking us through each step with clear instructions and plenty of individual support. Can't wait to try some more! Good to meet the other participants too, in a relaxed happy class. Thank you
Great course. Enjoyed the learning. Good tutor. Knows how to move the class forward to create the final product. Can't wait for the the next class in resin table making.
The workshop was fun teacher was very friendly and informative.
I was a complete novice to Epoxy Resin workshop. The class was very informative , Richard was friendly and encouraging to ask questions and explore our options. It inspired me to look how I could apply what I learned into practice. I left buzzing with ideas of upcycling some items at home and creating new pieces. I definitely will be booking Part2 of the workshop not to mention other classes
I attended the second beginners epoxy resin workshop. The teacher was very supportive and knowledgeable. The environment is a very friendly and supportive space to learn. I highly recommend this class and others.
The seascapes class was excellent. The teacher's are very patient, knowledgeable and supportive. I highly recommend the course.
Richard was a great instructor during the beginner’s epoxy resin course. The venue exceeded our expectations - well organised with all materials provided. Very enjoyable course with a small and friendly class. I will go again to other classes.

I took the beginners resin class today, with my granddaughter. The venue was well set up for us. We were talked through everything and were given a lot of useful information. We had great fun in the class and everyone was so nice. The instructor was very knowledgeable and was kind enough to answer all our questions. I would certainly take another class, when I am back in England.
The tutor who gave the course was well versed in managing a class. This is a strong point. Good communication skills helping us progress through the limited course time with ease... Tutor was fun to learn from. Another strong point. I'm am definitely coming back again. I would recommend to this school to provide concession to those on limited funds (carers, nurses etc). This is a must attend school.
I found the course both informative and fun to complete. I completed the river course parts 1 and 2. Good fun with very good instruction. Regards Jez Frank
This was the second time attending RiverShop after an excellent first class by Richard. The second class was more straight forward and time management by the instructor could have been better. I was pretty much left to crack on at the beginning with more than enough time to do the first 2 rounds of sanding and then had to rush the final few steps as we were nearing the end time. Result was still great and workshop informative.
Excellent course! Lots of fun and informative as well
very knowledgeable instructor, clearly presented information and willing to answer questions. Thoroughly enjoyable course
A really interesting, fun and informative session with Richard. He was really patient and answered any questions we had. I would definitely recommend and am looking forward to taking part in the next session.
We loved our bread board making experience! The boards looked great at the end and are definitely nice enough to use at home. The session was also really enjoyable as it was a good mix of tasks, including a lot of time to practice skills on the machines, which was a lot of fun!
I did really enjoyed the experience . It was fun and interesting. Both of the instructors were helpful, gave us good and easy tips. The place was neat and clean. I would recommend it..
Attended the Sunday workshop with instructor Dan. It was very nice, very informative, and hands on.
We had great time! Thank you Dan & Richard! It was fun and educational!
Thoroughly enjoyed the class. It’s amazing just how much is covered in the short space of time. Theory, glueups, table saws, table & handheld routers, sanding, planing, oiling … this class had it all. Both instructors are great, super patient and open to any questions you might have. This has really sparked my interest in woodworking and I’ll certainly be back for another session!
I had the best afternoon going through the process of making things out of wood; we learned to use a bunch of different tools and see a small project (in this case, a gorgeous breadboard) through from start to (oily) finish. There was also some basic theory in how wood behaves and how to use those factors to make longer-lasting pieces which I really appreciated. Will definitely be back to learn something new!
It was my first time trying resin art so I really appreciated learning about the science behind the art. Richard and Dan were great instructors and made everything really newbie friendly. Excited to see what the final pieces look like!

Had a lovely day today learning how to do seascapes with Richard! We were a small group of 8 which was a perfect size and Richard was so friendly and knowledgeable teaching us step by step and giving us some great tips! Everyone’s seascapes look great (it’s hard to go wrong) and love that we will all have something to keep from the day too. Thanks Richard, I’ll definitely be coming again soon!
Super thorough and enjoyable workshop! Richard was a great teacher, who you felt comfortable asking any question you had.
A very enjoyable and informative two courses. Valuable, well presented, friendly and great fun. I learnt a lot in a short time. I look forward returning to complete the next level. Best Jez
Loved the class
I thoroughly enjoyed the epoxy resin seascapes class, which was very informative and fun. Each stage of the process was taught very carefully.I highly recommend this class to anyone wanting to learn something new.
This Course really gives one the confidence to finish your own work with the expert guidance of course instructor. Course is incorporated with using wood working machinery and other tools. If you are a first time user of wood machinery this course gives you the confidence of how to professionally use the machines with proper health and safety guidance. Finally this course enables you to finish your own piece of work you did at the beginners level . Course tutor there for me like I was doing 1-2-1 training. Great place
Craig You can watch as many Youtube clips as you like but there is no substitute to rolling up your sleeves and getting involved under Richards expert tuition to understand the process of all things to do with epoxy resin. The stage 1 epoxy resin course was all I’d hoped for and more. Many thanks Craig
Loved the experience, loved the learning process, very easy to follow and understand and implement! Overall great class and loved the result art pieces!

The instructor, Richard was informative, friendly and generally put the class at ease. He explained what we were going to do as well as giving us a demo, which for a visual learner is great. He asked and answered questions and I throughly enjoyed my time there.
It was our first time to do resin art and I had the best experience being guide guided by professionals like Richard and Dan. I wouldn't have done this as a DIY on my own. There was a lot to consider even in terms of working environment and room temperature. Excited to try more advanced classes later 😁
I really enjoyed the workshop and learned a lot. Richard is a good teacher and other members of the team are very supportive and knowledgeable. It was a positive and friendly learning environment.
This is my 2nd epoxy course, having done the seascape course in April. This was a great introduction to working with wood and epoxy. The workshop is well organised and set up. Everything required is pre- ready so it makes it easy to follow. Richard is a resin guru and his knowledge and experience shines through. Even though I’ve been dabbling with some home projects, I learnt a lot about resin and took away some great tips. Stuff you can’t learn on you tube! For me, the fun part is the creative pouring - choosing colours, pigments, powders and where to pour. I can’t wait to do the part 2 and see the finished result. Thanks Richard and team!
I was given beginners resin workshop as birthday gift. The course lasts around 2.5h and is packed with a lot of information while we were making our first own resin piece . Richard is very knowledgeable and answered all our curious questions. Overall a great experience!
We learnt so much and thoroughly enjoyed this experience. We were absolute beginners and only one of us was particularly keen at the start but now we’re looking to book another! Dan was a brilliant & engaging teacher and the class exceeded our expectations! Thank you!
Great class! Brilliant teacher and perfect level of support vs learning yourself. Would recommend to anyone!
Good intro to the tools and how to prep material, router was good fun to use too!
Great experience!
Richard was a very knowledgeable instructor who gave us lots of useful instruction and advice to continue this craft, I had a great course and am really pleased with my coffee table.
Brilliant course giving a practical overview and guidance. Richard is a fabulous instructor- extremely knowledgeable and personable.
Richard is a super patient and thorough teacher! It was such a fun session, learning a new skill and meeting new like-minded people. Definitely recommend to anyone!

The class was great. Richard was helpful and happy to answer any questions the class had!
It was a great introduction and goid fun and Richard was a very knowledgeable tutor. I will be attending another in the near future

I attended the breadboard making course for beginners and had the best time! Richard was a skilled and engaging teacher who took us through the steps at the perfect pace whilst still allowing us to feel autonomous in the process. I’m so happy with the board I made, it looks super professional and feels amazing to have made it myself. Would definitely recommend :)
This was a great class. Plenty of useful information and tips and the chance to be vey creative!
Richard was amazing! He explained everything so clearly and injected a lot of fun into the workshop. I learned a lot and had a great time, and definitely want to try some of his other workshops!
I was lucky enough to be invited to go with my friend Natalie to the Epoxy Resin Flower Coaster making class. Richard was a great teacher, explained everything and was very knowledgeable. It was a great way to spend a morning, it was my first time at a class in this area and will certainly be back again
reat experience from start to finish. Booking was simple, venue was great with easy parking onsite. Richard was an amazing teacher, very knowledgeable and engaging. We covered all the basics and also learnt lots of hints and tips for making the perfect epoxy piece (measuring, steaming, the 4 (maybe 5) golden rules !). I would definitely recommend Richard and The River Shop and will certainly be going back for more lessons. Thanks Richard.
As an absolute beginner who knew nothing about woodwork, Dan made everything easy to understand while also letting us be independent in our work. I would definitely recommend the course to anyone who’s interested in woodwork to get a taster. Dan and Richard were also lovely to talk to and made the day very chill and welcoming. Might have to come back soon for the breadboard course I enjoyed it that much!
Absolutely amazing. Great teacher. Super patient, answering all our questions and equally educating us. Would definitely recommend and I plan to do more courses. Bonus of the day, knowing that after learning, I am able to purchase an item and create on to it also. Brilliant.
I enjoyed making my own breadboard. I was surprised by how much I learned within a short time and how easy it was to produce, as commented by my son, an “insanely good breadboard”. The instructors, Dan and Richard, were patient and thorough in their explanations. The course didn’t feel rushed and allowed people of differing skill sets to have fun.
I found the course extremely valuable. The instruction was well tailored for the beginner, clear and precise with lots of questions back to the students and a recap at the end of each section. Going over previous sections was no issue with enough time allowed to complete this. The end result was both exciting and satisfying. My thanks goes to Richard for his excellent enjoyable class. Best Jez Frank. Ps please keep hold of my piece of work as I will return in June for the Finishing course (part 2).
A big THANK YOU to Richard for a great introduction to the epoxy resin craft world. My friend and I have absolutely loved the beginners class on epoxy resin, and hope to attend many more in the near future.

This was a great way to spend the day, a great mix and bunch of people attend these classes. The venue was fab and well equipped with all the necessary tools and materials. Richard the teacher was fun, friendly, patient and engaging . I had a brilliant and memorable day , attempting some basics in using resin ,I would not hesitate to attend any of the other workshops . I'll definitely be back.
This was my first experience working with epoxy resin and I had a really great time! When we arrived, the workshop was clean and had our materials already prepared in an individual tub so we didn't waste any time looking around for supplies. I thought it was especially helpful that we were asked to think about why we were doing certain steps rather than just being told. It helped to really understand the process. I could easily see myself at home deciding to skip certain steps because I didn't have a certain tool and didn't understand what that step was accomplishing. If I had more space at home for the supplies, I would feel competent working on small epoxy projects on my own after this course.
Really enjoyed the Beginners Epoxy Resin Workshop with Richard! I had so much fun creating my board and Richard was an excellent teacher! He was full of knowledge, attentive and engaging. Would definitely recommend and would love to take another class at the River Shop!
all good
Had a really good day! Richard was a great teacher. Patient, friendly and a font of knowledge! Highly recommend! Were already planning our next course!

I loved the seascapes course. Richard is an excellent tutor, extremely knowledgeable and great fun. I can’t wait to do another course. Thank you
I attended Epoxy Resin class and Richard is really a teacher that gets you right into the course from start to finish. All questions you have planned to ask his teaching methods answers all. By the end of the course you feel you can make products as a pro. Richard listens to every concern you have as a student and assist which ever way he can. Course atmosphere is so friendly and training cost is value for money. Thank you .
Attended seascape master class. Richard is so nice teacher and he explains everything you need to know. very comfortable and cozy environment, Highly recommended, and waiting to see my finished coaster
I really enjoyed the workshop - plenty of information and tips as well as the chance to be individually creative.
I bought tickets to this workshop as a birthday present for my husband. We both really enjoyed it - Dan and Richard were great teachers and we're pleased with the boards we made. I'd recommend this workshop for beginners.
Would've liked more time to practice with the equipment but the board looks great and it was an enjoyable morning.
We had an awesome time making bread boards with Dan & Richard! The guys had lots of patience explaining how things worked and we were able to try a bit of everything in the workshop. Final result looks so good, too!
A great introduction to woodworking. Low pressure environment and a great instructor made it a wonderful experience!
The table top making taster was very rewarding. On the day both Dan and Richard were there although Dan lead the course. It was excellently taught. Dan explained about the physical properties of wood, some wood engineering principles, how to use the equipment and how you may use tools that you have at home. My expectation was to build a full coffee table, although the table top was smaller and we didn't make legs l would state that l am not dissatisfied with the experience and l enjoyed the day and had a great sense of achievement. Dan was very clear, encouraging and friendly. The facilities are outstanding. I would recommend this course. It has build my confidence and inspired me to have a go at my own projects. And as a bonus, Dan and Richard have offered support for out own projects.
Great tutors, very patient and thorough. Learnt a lot and very much enjoyed the workshop, looking forward to picking up my table top/ cheese board
Good introduction to bread board making, simple to do and didn’t take as long as I was expecting
Excellent exerience!! I learned a lot and it was fun. Can't wait to try on my own!!
I really enjoyed the course, very informative but also great fun. This was my first time working with in this medium and Richard is a great instructor very knowledgable and delivers the course at the right pace. A really excellent afternoon
This was a good beginners course for learning some of the basics of woodworking. Dan was good at explaining everything as we went through the course and also made sure everyone was enjoying it. We had plenty of time to practice with the machines before finishing off our own boards. I enjoyed the day and would recommend for any other beginners.
The Resin River Coffee Table Workshop is Great, I highly recommend to everyone at all skill levels! Learning a lot from Richard, I'm having fun actually making my own Resin River Coffee Table.
Once again a great class from the River Shop!!! The explanation and process were easy to follow and the results were nice considering it was the first time using this approach with resin. Can't wait to try more in the future!
A great class and a satisfying result at the end, considering I started as a total beginner. I feel a little more structure to the day, and perhaps signposting of expectations - a few more hints and tips on how to get effects. Richard was friendly and welcoming, though at the start a simple "Hi, are you here for this workshop" was missing - a small detail but just sets the right tone from the beginning. Overall though, a really enjoyable workshop and I will be keen to further my use of this material and will look to book future classes.
Wildly enjoying my time at The River Shop. This was my second class, and I really enjoy the level of instruction, making something with my hands, and working toward an eventual goal. I'm looking forward to being back many times!
Fabulous workshop! Richard was a great tutor and explained everything very well. The workshop space is amazing and the workstation was set up beforehand with everything. I went with my 8 year old son who loves art and he was able to make his very own coasters which he was so proud of. I can’t wait to enrol on another course in June! Would thoroughly recommend. The free parking outside the studio made life easier too. Thanks so much.
It is very easy to learn from Richard. He explained everything in good detail highly recommended
Great course for those new to epoxy resin! Richard is knowledgeable and can pitch this course to any level. Really looking forward to part 2!
I had a wonderful experince finishing the second part of this workshop. Cannot wait to brag about it to my guests !!
Was great fun, looking forward to pouring more in the future..
Richard is a great tutor. Explains everything in a clear and concise manner, easy to understand way. I enjoyed this ‘Beginners Epoxy Resin Workshop’ and look forward to attending ‘Part 2 - Resin Finishing’ workshop.
I had a really good time doing this course and recommend it. The level was perfect for me as a beginner - not too difficult but not too easy. Dan was a good teacher who explained things clearly and helped whenever needed. We were given plenty of time to practice with the woodworking machinery before starting on our breadboards. I thought that the day was great overall and to my surprise I ended up with a pretty decent looking breadboard. I even enjoyed having wonder around this inserting part of London at lunch to find a cafe.
Great activity to try and was a very informative and friendly class. Would very happily do another course here and would recommend anyone who is interested does so.

I attended the beginners Epoxy Resin workshop today, what a fantastic experience. The teacher was great, very patient and thorough. He made sure that everyone was clear on what to do and asked US questions ~ so make sure you are listening!! He went above and beyond and I felt very confident following the very clear instructions. I would strongly recommend ~ ticks all the boxes, great venue, free parking, great working space and superb tuition. Thank you xx
We really enjoyed the class we learned so much from Richard and had such a fun day. Would highly recommend!
It was great, and really interesting. Each of the tools were explained clearly and we then followed the instructions to prepare our pieces. I learnt a few things about the random orbital sanders and the mitre saw, which were really useful takeaways. I’m looking forward to reviving the final piece (all oiled up) shortly ! It was so good, my partner is booked onto the flower epoxy course !
Richard is really good and helpful, answers all and any questions. I feel like it's a really good value/knowledge trade here. It's a really fun continuation for the first course. It's nice to have a finished product :D, and i feel like all the techinques learned will help with other products in the future. PS: I love the dust collection systems :D.
My husband and I went on this first and second Epoxy resin course and learnt all about using epoxy resin. We created some rather gorgeous resin and wood coasters and really enjoyed ourselves. Richard is a a very good teacher - he has an engaging and very clear style and the class size is just right - there was plenty of room to work in his very organised and well equipped workshop. It was an absorbing practical workshop with lots of opportunity to ask questions. Felt we would be able to do it at home now if we wanted to.
We attended the seascapes course on Saturday 18th March ‘23. - and really enjoyed it. The course is clear and informative and Richard has a really calm and helpful manner. Class size was just right too and the workshop is so well kitted out. It was my Xmas present from my husband - we just wanted to try it out - mission accomplished and we made some rather impressive coasters, a tray and cheese board we can be proud of!
Had a great day at The River Shop. We did a course in the morning as a continuation of an earlier part course and” Seascapes “ in the afternoon. Both were great fun, interesting and well taught by Richard. We eagerly await our projects when they are ready to be sent.

I had a great time doing this course. Richard is so good at explaining things and giving us the time, tools and space to practice before moving onto our own "masterpiece". It also helps that he has a great workshop set-up and uses the best kit (festool). I'd never used any of the equipment before and, with Richard's teaching, found it all really easy - sanding my piece then slicing through it before bevelling the edges. Really satisfying outcome.

Excellent course, Richard was very thorough in his explanations and demonstrations. I am looking to book onto a river table course in the future.
Great fun. I enjoyed the class very much, Richard who was running the show was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend his classes and hope to join a few more myself.

It was my first time with epoxy resin and I loved every single moment of it! I'm definitely coming back for another course!
The weekend workshop on seascapes was attended by me.I thoroughly enjoyed the entire class. Richard is an excellent instructor who is well organized, patient, and knowledgeable. Undoubtedly, I'll schedule for more classes. Highly recommended if anyone wants to to get a strong foundation on how to use Epoxy resin.
"A great afternoons introduction to using epoxy resin, I enjoyed Richard’s seascapes class immensely, I knew nothing about epoxy resin and left inspired to try the process at home, armed with the basic principles and practical tips. He is a very supportive tutor, patient and knowledgeable. Great day!"
Absolutely fantastic class. Richard is incredibly knowledgable and engaging, and makes the sessions fun and memorable. Would recommend this to anyone. Thanks again, will certainly be back to pick up more skills soon!
Great afternoon,. Lovely workshop and beautiful products. Richard was Knowledgeable and helpful and I enjoyed his class very much my sister and I are planning to return soon! The only bit I wasn't comfortable with was introductions at the beginning, but other than that fab!
A good afternoon, teacher was knowledgeable and friendly. There was a lot more in the subject than anticipated but information was exchanged in a easy going manner.

I really enjoyed this session! Met some lovely people and was able to learn, make and have a finished product in the same day which was marvellous. It has really encouraged me to take it further and see what I can achieve.

The course was very informative and practically useful Richard the teacher was great, his communications was very clear and his passion made it the session engaging It was reassuring to be taught by someone who was obviously an expert. The room was a little too cold, although we were offered hoodies to wear
Great course, Richard was so keen to ensure we had a great understanding of the process, so that rather than having a one off experience, we were prepped to go on and make projects by ourselves - really good bunch of people and a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon - can’t wait to see my project when it is ready!
I did the Beginner Epoxy Resin workshop and thoroughly enjoyed it. Richard was very good at explaining each step and why we were doing it. He also gave us lots of advice and guidance on things we would need to consider if taking on a project at home with our newly learned skills. He was also very good at making us all feel welcome and was interested in what had brought us to the course and brought this into his subsequent teachings throughout the class. The workshop was inspirational - both in terms of pieces he has made or has in progress and in terms of the quality of tools and their orderly storage. I definitely recommend this course to anyone that wants to try out an epoxy resin project.
The course was excellent and very informative.
I really enjoyed the class, the session was well organised with all of the equipment layer out for us and richard was a great teacher, explaining everything in detail and answering all questions. I’m looking forward to the next class.
Good class for those who never did art before. Only it would be nice to have more resin that one cup that was provided.
Another great class from Richard at 'The River Shop'. This was about making a Bread Board using wood. As in the previous classes, there was a lot of useful information provided for general woodworking but also some specific for joinery, from the glue to use to the direction of the wood grain. Once again, thanks a lot for the class! I will be back for more!
My partner and I both did todays course. Brian was more experienced and I was a totally beginner. The course worked brilliantly for both of us. Very friendly and knowledgeable teacher and made the whole day fun and informative for both of us. Would throughly recommend.

Really enjoyed the course with my mum. We’ve been watching resin videos for awhile and wanted to try it. Feel more confident now to experiment further. Teacher was very knowledgeable and was a great day out. Thank you 👍
I learn a lot of new skills working with epoxy products and having a good teacher that help every time.
I really enjoyed part two of the course where we got to use the woodworking machines. It was great to have a little bit of time in between the courses to get inspirations for potential projects. In this way I got the chance to run a project past Rich who was very helpful with some tips.
I really enjoyed the second part of the epoxy resin workshop. We were all able to use a few machines and get an explanation of the techniques needed to have a wonderful finish on our coasters. I would recommend this course to anyone, just like the first one. Well done once again Richard! Can't wait for the next workshop!
Totally recommended this and the previous course. Richard's approach to teaching is superb, with questions and letting you experiment with the machinery after a safety briefing. He will encourage you to understand the process, experiment and come with your own piece of art.
amazing day, very important for my next steps. 100% sure I will be successful following what I learned. thank you for all your help!!!
My second resin course at River Shop and while it recapped on some of the elements of the first course this was more focussed on resin art rather than resin casting which was covered in the beginners epoxy resin workshop. New techniques were demonstrated and practical applications explained and then we were issued with resin and left to create our own 'masterpieces' - go easy with the resin, it needs to go a long way as there are four coasters to cover. All in all a fun informative course which I would recommend to anyone wishing to get an insight into how to create resin based art.
Amazing experience, I don't think you can find something similar elsewhere. Very well-organised and funny. We taught how to work with epoxy, what we should avoid and the potential of this material. The only thing I would recommend to make it even better - is to spend more time showing the painting technics.
An excellent follow-up course to Part One which I would also highly recommend. Richard is a great instructor and takes the time to ensure everyone is on the same page and is fantastic at answering any questions we curious students throw at him!
Visited with my daughter and we thoroughly enjoyed the course with Richard. We loved learning about different types of resin, the ideal temperature, tools, dyes and the application. Best bit of all was getting away from our ‘norm’ and trying something new and awakening our creative selves. Thank you. 👍
The teacher was very profissional and kind . I recommend the class and plan make other classes as well .
Excellent class! Richard is a patient and clear teacher.
It was very hard to find the place and there wasn't a number to contact the organiser. So my friends ended up being late because they were looking for the place for too long and when they arrived they weren't let in!
Very good beginners guide to epoxy resin. Only improvement I can think of is when fielding a question to the class e.g. "can anyone tell me.." maybe don't leave it for so long before it's awkward that no one knows the answer. Other than that, great day out.
I really enjoyed this course at the River Shop and I can't wait to do the second part. In my opinion, the course is very well structured with a lot of information provided. It's not just a 'follow along' course but there is some useful and interesting theory regarding the uses of resin, environment, workflow etc. There should be some notes coming from the River Shop regarding the whole class but I did bring a notepad to write as much as possible on it and that will help a lot for my future projects. I would suggest people do the same and take notes, as it's still a class and you will need them.
I had a lovely experience at this course. Can't wait for part 2 to finish my masterpiece. 🤩
Really good tips and tricks for resin beginners! Had a fun afternoon, would definitely recommend the course.
Another great course from Richard and the River Shop that I did as a follow up to the resin workshop. Lots of handy tips and tricks that I'll be able to apply to bigger projects and general wood working, not just tables. It was great being able to use some more advanced machinery while we also learned how to use more basic tools available to the DIYer. Highly recommend the course and can't wait to receive my table top once it's ready!
This workshop was a very interesting way to spend an afternoon and the perfect first experience of crafting with resin. The materials and schedule were set up perfectly for students to make the best of the time, and Richard provided one-to-one assistance, useful tips and advice throughout. I'd highly recommend this course as the perfect first step for those interested in working on resin projects big or small. Stuart B
Enjoyable afternoon, but the workshop was a little overcrowded and the tutor a bit dismissive, the atmosphere could have been much nicer.
Richard was great and very knowledgable. A very enjoyable experience I bought my boyfriend for his birthday- we are booking on to part two! Thank you
Very Informative and Enjoyable Workshop. Thanks Richard. Regards Colin
Fantastic course. My partner and I did a class on the Saturday for part one and a private part 2 on Sunday. Richard accommodated us easily to help with our travel and we felt well looked after in both. Highly recommend going to this as just an experience or a stepping stone to bigger projects.
Good location, easy to find. Extremely informative session and Richard was an excellent instructor.
Great workshop with Richard. Clear instructions throughout so very easy to follow. Also loads of tips for recreating at home. We’ll be back for part 2!
I drove from Cambridge and found the location easily. The course was very informative and Richard was an excellent instructor. Looking forward to starting my own project.
Amazing class, so much fun. It was easy to follow and perfect for beginners
Thos was a fantastic course. Wull definitely look out for more.
A really brilliant workshop! Richard and Dan were expert, helpful, and also patient where I had no previous carpentry experience. I love my table!
Amazing experience. An excellent class for true beginners in carpentry and woodwork. If you've never touched tools before, this is the class for you. Instructors were clear, patient, and fun! They explain the importance of every step and ask that you take the day seriously but without compromising your enjoyment. There's plenty of room to have a chat, and they encourage conversation whole-heartedly. This class is not intensive, there's room to breathe in the day and they don't rush you. The finished bread board looks great no matter how skilled you are, and you can be sure you're taking home something you can be proud of. A great class; an excellent experience whether you want to take your woodworking journey further or if you're just looking to try something outside of your comfort zone.
Very informative session, great to get hands on experience.
Very informative session, great to get hands on experience.
I had a very nice experience learning here. During this course I found out a lot of useful information about wood and how to deal with it. Also, teachers are kind, friendly and ready to help at any time.
I had a great time! It was useful - focused on some fundamentals. I appreciated that there was a bit of talking/theory rather than 100% hands on. Thanks!
Richard was such very very knowledgable and enthusiastic about his craft. The way he conducted the class was very thorough, equipping you not only with the practical skills but also useful knowledge that will help with your woodworking endeavours. I felt very inspired by the class to do more woodworking and would definitely come back for more!
I really enjoyed the resin beginners course, there was so much info to take in though that it would be nice to have a handout with some of the main points as it is difficult to take notes and keep up with everything while there.
Thanks to all the rivershop crew for seascapes course!😍
It was a fun and great workshop to attend. The instruction was very clear and Dan and Agi(sorry if I spelled it wrong) were both very helpful ! Highly recommend it
Great class - very enjoyable. Teachers were knowledgeable and friendly. Only downside was limited equipment for blowing the resin.
I absolutely loved the Seascape Resin Workshop as it was my first dive into the world of resin. I learnt the basics of working with epoxy resin through a little theory and practice and cannot wait to explore the other masterclasses River Shop has to offer. Thank you!
A relaxed and informative class where you really couldn’t get anything wrong. Everything was prepped and ready to use. If you are looking at relaxing and doing something different this class is perfect… I wanted instant results with a finished product looking like you are a professional … it ticked all my boxes. Give it a go… no disappointments!!!!
A great afternoon and I was really pleased with how my coasters turned out. I'd never used resin before but the teachers were so helpful and explained and demonstrated everything as we went along. I will definitely be back to make a river table!
I had a lovely day, was great fun Teachers were great and really helpful Met lovely people Loved the items I made, will definitely do another class
it was a Christmas gift from my son, I loved!!! I will continue for the second class. I recommend, the teacher is very friendly with amazing skills.

Very informative course well worth going to, good fun and relaxed atmosphere. My only suggestion for improvement would be if you could hand out a take home print out of some of the main tips you give in class as there’s no time for note taking. I’d 100% recommend going!
Teaching was great for the 1 on 1 session, my only reservation is that we didn’t use the full time allocated and the actual things we made were very small.

Very happy with my class and the table. The class was well organised and I learnt lots.
The course was extremely good, our teacher was excellent, he showed us everything we needed to know for private crafts and I feel very confident to grow my skills and practice. Some of the provided materials weren't appealing, I was lucky a participant was absent and I swapped their wooden river materials for mine. Then whilst there were provided colour examples, there was no way to determine what material would create what colour. It should be said, if I was more confident I'd be more satisfied."
Richard was engaging and the class was enjoyable with attendees at different levels of competency. Only wished we had the option to work on more projects on the same day - seems like that offering is in the pipeline!
Great class, step by step learning how to create the chopping/bread board, hands on using the machines and finishing the product. Good class with good details, and nice product at the end of it.
The workshop is very fun and engaging, and I would recommend it to anyone that is interested in learning to use epoxy resin with wood.
I went for the beginners Epoxy resin class. It was such great fun as well as being really informative. The studio itself is a lovely space and Richard is a fantastic teacher. After trying to use resin myself at home and not getting good results, I found this workshop so valuable in learning all the technical information and practical tips I had been missing. I've gone away with way more confidence and motivation to give resin another go. Thank you!
A good introduction to what I hope will be an ongoing hobby for me. Having watched resin pieces being created on YouTube I was keen to get involved and this course covered the basics and gave an insight into materials and techniques.
Very enjoyable and informative course from Richard. Came away with lots of practical knowledge and tips on how to get started using epoxy resin. Just wish there would have been some printed information to take home, as there's a lot to take in and little time to write it down.
Absolutely loved this class! Richard was a phenomenal teacher with passion and a wealth of knowledge. The pieces I created during the class turned out better than I would have expected to top it all off. Would highly recommend.
Very good course in starting epoxy. A lot of information will be thrown your way. If you do the morning course grab something to eat before you start so you can concentrate.
Really nice course lots of information and hands on approach. Richard was really nice and answerd all of our questions however far fetched they might have been. Thank you.
A very interesting course covering the basics of epoxy resin. Course leader is very knowledgeable and is more than happy to answer any questions throughout. Highly recommend!
It was a very informative session .
Great 👍🏼
Just completed part two of the beginners epoxy resin course. Thoroughly enjoyed both parts one & two. Looking forward to receiving both finished coasters and planning a future project.
Beginners epoxy class. Enjoyed the lesson. Was very informative and a good basic understanding of the materials.

Great classes! Both were very informative and fun😊

Would highly recommend this class. I'd never used resin before but Richard explained the whole process thoroughly with a full demonstration first. Really interesting to learn the techniques for making seascapes and then make our own coasters. There's also time at the end of the course to make additional items if you want to, whilst I didn't have time to stay and do that, it's a really nice optional extra. Thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. Can't wait to see the my fully finished coasters!
Was good to complete the 2 part beginners resin class and understand the finishing of resin. Good explanation and you end up with 2 nice coasters. Good learnings and knowledge passed to start your own resin projects.
The workshop location is excellent with free secure parking right outside the unit. An excellent introduction to working with epoxy resin. Richard is professional and engaging with expert knowledge. Signed up for part two at the conclusion of the course.
Great beginners course in epoxy resin. Shared good knowledge and information on how best to use and apply epoxy resin to own craft ideas.
The beginners’ epoxy resin class was brilliant. Richard gave helpful, expert guidance and also tips for using these skills in future too. It was also really well paced, with lots of time, rather than feeling rushed. I would definitely recommend it!
I very much enjoyed the course. It was insightful and fun. Would recommend :)
I really enjoyed the beginners class on Saturday 3rd December I could have stayed all day 😊 and would really like to observe a River table being produced👍🏽 Richard was great - patient, informative and witty Thank you for a great afternoon. I’m definitely looking forward to booking classes after Christmas
Great class! Really informative and fab hands on experience! Can’t wait to do the table course!
The man in the workshop explains the things we have to do really good

Another enjoyable class delivered by Richard. As a beginner to woodwork and resin, it’s great to spend time with such a knowledgeable and patient tutor. The course is delivered well, and one leaves the feeling that one can take the knowledge home, use it and be confident that one will gradually get the hang of it! Thanks again Richard.

This was a very first crafty workshop I have ever taken in my life and it was amazing. Having a desk job every day and getting the chance to do something so different totally made my day. Learning to do something from scratch, understand basics of woodcrafting and playing with so many machinery was really exciting. Also the fact that you actually take something home with you definitely makes this more attractive. Thanks to Richard for all his patience and help, I will definitely look into more workshops with him. Best of luck!
Really good class for someone who never tried building something with wood. Richard was a great teacher.
Fantastic course and introduction to woodworking. Thanks Richard!
A very enjoyable and informative class. Richard was happy to answer all our questions. I'm looking forward to seeing the pieces we made on Saturday
Good experience, anyone can do it you have to be artsy. Nice way to dip your toe into something new. Instruction thorough & well given, all questions welcomed lots of knowledge about surfaces. Enjoyed my class looking into going again. Thanks.
The class has been great. The instructor has been very organised and knowledgable. Definitely recommend it to anyone that wants to get a strong foundation on how to use Epoxy resin.
I’ve learned basic info about the resin, teacher was very helpfull and willing to help in my diy project with is a bonus, venue was great. Over all very happy, can’t wait for another course.
My husband surprised me with an epoxy resin workshop and it was amazing. Richard is a great teacher, explained everything in very simple terms and helped with every step along the way. Would definitely recommend checking out his workshops ✌🏼
It was an excellent introductory workshop that covered the theory of working with resin well and provided a simple wood and resin project to work through. The course leader covered the course well and was always available to give assistance and information. Overall an excellent course.
Thank you Richard! The class was smashing! Clear instructions, meticulous attention to detail, angelic patience, all questions answered. I was feeling a bit intimidated to be in a totally new working environment, but very quickly felt at home . Learned an awful lot and got inspired with my own projects. Can’t wait for the second part. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Amazing course and very well taught. Thank you.
Workshop was great, with friendly and informative tutoring. Looking forward to my next visit. Thanks
I had a great time this morning at the Epoxy Resin workshop. The atmosphere was very friendly and relaxed, and I have gained some really good knowledge to practice this more on my own. Looking forward to coming back for further activities. Thank you!
Great intro to wood machining! I recommend for those who are a bit afraid of manipulating some machines, making a breadboard is a perfect exercise to get your hands on those machines, with as super nice object to get after the course!
My daughter bought me Epoxy Resin Workshop experience as a birthday present and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Richard explained the process so that we all had a clear understanding of what was required to make up and pour the resin in order to achieve an unblemished result. I came away from the course really pleased with my set of 4 coasters which featured a marine theme.
Went as a birthday treat, I did not know what to expect....what a surprise and excellent experience. the course is well run, very thorough and easy to understand. the group was fairly small (7) and we were allowed a lot of interaction. I would call the course very relax and very friendly. I would recommend this to everyone from teens to old folks, like me .
The breadboard making class for beginners was super enjoyable and Richard really does know wood 😆 it is a great course to kick start any ambitions working with wood and it was overall a super fun day. Highly recommended!!
This was an excellent class taking us through the creation of a breadboard and how to safely use all of the power tools. We had clear demos and time to practice before we machined the final piece which was very useful. I am very happy with my final piece and would recommend this course.
Great workshop, super happy with the coasters we made!
I loved every minute and plan to do more classes in the future! I have no knowledge of hand or power tools and this classes was so enjoyable that I want to repeat it! Making a breadboard was like earning a medal!
Such a great course and learnt so much in one day! Perfect balance of hands on practical experience and learning. Loved it and would highly recommend. Richard is such an engaging tutor which makes it even more fun and easy to digest, no matter what your level of experience is! Will definitely be booking on one of the other classes.
An excellent course with solid guidance in how to use all sorts of equipment and techniques. Well worth trying out!
I would highly recommend this course. It was great to see the results of part 1 and to learn the skills to finish off the coasters. Certainly given me the confidence to practice at home and hopefully develop and widen my experience of working with wood and resin. The class size wasn’t too big so you have the opportunity to ask lots of questions and have your project reviewed. Richard was a great teacher, sharing lots of his skills, knowledge and experience as well as being very patient. I am looking forward to attending more of his courses in the future.
Another great class from Richard. I enjoyed learning how to work with the resin after it had dried and using new tools for shaping. I’m looking forward to putting the new skills I have learnt into practice! Richard is a great teacher. I enjoy his teaching methods. I would highly recommend this course.
Richard was very knowledgable and ensured we talked through the process thoroughly. This was very interactive, he’d ask questions in such a way, that the knowledge imparted has really stuck. Practically, it was very enjoyable working with the median of Resin, which was a first for me and it has definitely given me the taste to experiment with it further. My mother and I are likely to set up some more time with Richard so we can explore this further. Thanks again!
Perfect class to gain full knowledge of finishing epoxy rasin products. Teacher Richard explains everything clearly and gives some practical advices. I recommend his classes.
This class was really informative and a great introduction to resin. Richard was really engaging with the group- an excellent teacher! It’s definitely given me the confidence to continue and experiment with resin at home. Thank you!
This was a fantastic introductory workshop and would highly recommend to anyone either just wanting to try something completely new or to gain knowledge of epoxy resin and how to use it for further projects. Richard was very knowledgeable and unlike some other workshops I have done with other compaines, we all learnt the basics around eposxy resin before doing any practical work. It was great fun and I am looking forward to seeing the results and using my new coasters!
Another great class from Richard. I enjoyed learning about the optimal conditions for working with epoxy resin and techniques for creating moulds. I already looking forward to the next class!
Great to learn a new skill combining modern material with old. Fantastic way of using up of cuts to convert into something useful. Richard was a great teacher.
The class was amazing. Very well explained by Richard, especially the little details about the procedures about the wood and resin which were shared via demonstration (very helpful). I totally recommend this course for someone interesting to work with resin. Thank you Richard!
The teacher was very informative and very helpful. I’ve learnt a basic skills of working with epoxy resin and can’t wait for part2. The venue was very well organised and I’m glad I took part in it.
Loved the session, it was super interactive and easy to follow and lots of creative expression with colours and personalisation :D
I enjoy the class and Richard was informative and friendly teacher. 4 stars because we were a bit far from the window and the point where everything was being explained and it was a little dark in our corner of the room, which made working more difficult.
Richard explained the key points to resin pouring and mould making. Only issue I had was the duration of the class, where we spent too much time in between just waiting around.
I attended the Beginners Epoxy Resin Workshop on Saturday- it was a thoroughly enjoyable day with Richard providing wealth of information. I would recommend it to anyone interested in creating their own epoxy pieces-but beware , you may well catch the bug and want to learn more and more!
What a great class! All instructions given were clear and very helpful. The teacher was mindful of different pace of the students and was making sure that everyone is following up the group. It gave me good, basic knowledge about epoxy resin and how to work with it. I was able to purchase a starter kit to practice more at home. Definitely going for part2.
I really enjoyed the course. Richard gave a very clear and comprehensive overview of everything you need to consider when working with the resin. I’d love to come back for another course and explore working with resin in this very supportive environment. Thank you!
An excellent course in the introduction to working with resin. A relaxed and enjoyable environment in the studio, with expert tuition from Richard.
I have really enjoyed this workshop. The location of venue was nice with free easy parking and the teacher was welcoming. There was good portion of knowledge provided about working with wood and resin. If you are interested to try it's good place to go to. Recommended!
Richard is very passionate about the topic and very professional. It was a very fun and hands-on experience. Something very much outside of my comfort zone, and who knew I was so artistic. Would recommend .
I learnt techniques in how to finish the river pour I had created in part one including sanding and got to turn it into coasters. The instructions were all very clear and detailed to ensure we learnt how to use the tools safely and properly to get a good finish. Overall a very fun course which was well delivered.

A really enjoyable course learning to mix different coloured resins to form sea scapes and cool patterns. All the processes were explained and demonstrated really well and it was very fun having a go.
After lots of epoxy binging on YouTube. I finally joined a class. It was my first time with resin and Richard explained all about it as well as doing a first "demo" of the process. Which found really helpful to understand what you should be aware of and what you need to do. Timing was on point. Overall cool and fun experience.
Just completed part 2 of the Beginners Epoxy resin course. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole course. I left with ample knowledge, skills and resources to enable me to pursue small projects solo. An inspiring class and tutor, strongly recommend to anyone who delights in the process of making.
Taking part 2 of the resin course was great. Really enjoyed seeing how the original work had turned out. Getting hands on experience and absorbing all the knowledge of experts is something I’d highly recommend if you are starting out with resin.
An excellent and informative second follow-on from the Part One class. Richard provided concise and astute advice to ensure the best possible final project result, whilst providing a relaxed and friendly atmosphere for everyone. Can wholeheartedly recommend the class!
An excellent introduction to working with epoxy resin. A great workspace, ample opportunity to ask questions, Richard is a professional and friendly tutor with expert subject knowledge. A very inspirational course
Good fun - gave me the confidence to try it myself!
Richard ran a fantastic course running through the basics of an epoxy resin pour. Would definitely recommend the course for anyone who has seen numerous online videos as this goes into far more detail and will ultimately save you money by getting things right first time The 2.5 hour course flew by and was fully interactive, getting all questioning and thinking more about the sciene behind the art Can't wait to book onto another!
Very informative with a strong element of hands on learning. Great fun offering the ability to try your hand at creating a workpiece in wood and resin. Would recommend to others. Cliff
This course was fun and I enjoyed learning a new skill. Richards explanations and instructions were very clear and detailed which will enable a beginner to start using resin for their own projects. I am really looking forward to seeing how my pour ends up when dry and after this curse I decided to book onto the part 2 course to learn how to finish resin and wood projects.
A concise and informative class, with a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Richard was a great teacher, with a lot of patience and a lot of insight to offer!
After wanting to step into the world of resin for ages I decided to attend this course. Best decision ever. Everything I needed to know as a beginner was covered today. It was delivered in such a straight forward and explanatory way . Real hands on experience. Our teacher was really friendly and put you at ease, no question was left unanswered. The venue was great, easy to find and extremely well organised. I’ll definitely be attending more courses.
Richard was great and explained things really clearly which was perfect if you’re a beginner as I am (or was!) the studio itself was in a really cool setting with all good vibes and community atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend. Cheers!
The class was so much fun, we learnt about the resin and the quantities you need etc. We also covered the 4 main things that we need to know and remember when working with resin. The class was full of great energy, everyone was really involved and creative. Thanks for a great workshop Richard.
Lovely studio and conducive environment for learning. Great tips
I had an amazing day at the River Shop learning how to make a bread board. Richard is an excellent teacher and I really enjoyed his teaching techniques. I came away with good knowledge of cutting, sanding and using a router. Richard is friendly and approachable and already I am looking forward to my next course with him. I found woodwork addictive!
I feel lucky to have found Richard's class on making a table top. Richard was an excellent teacher who went into detail on each step of the process. We learnt about edge joining, using a mitre saw, using multiple sanders, oiling/finishing the wood, amongst other things. I learnt more than I expected and I hope to join another class in the future. Thanks!
I took part in the Epoxy Resin Seascapes course on Saturday and it was the first time I'd ever used resin before. It was such a fun course and really interesting as Richard takes you through how resin is made and also how to work with it. Really fun course, I would highly recommend :)

Great teaching and explanations and the effects you can get are amazing.
Amazing!! Seeing the river piece from part one I thought you could just chop it in half and have a nice pair of coasters, vastly underestimating the art and time involved in finishing your work. We were shown (and able to get our hands on) 4 different power tools and the finished coasters look absolutely great. Richard shares huge amounts of enthusiasm and knowledge and gently assists to help you produce something fantastic to take home and show off to friends and family.
The session was so fun. We really enjoyed it We will defo do it again
Very enjoyable. Thank you.
Very enjoyable. Thank you.
Had a great afternoon, very informative and Richard was helpful and enthusiastic, was able to upgrade on the day to make a seascape chopping board, I totally recommend this course
Part 2 of the resign workshop was more straightforward than day one, with the focus on finishing. While informative, well-led and comprehensive, I’ve taken away one star only because, in using a speed sander to level and prepare the boards for finishing, this would not be replicable at home - while the rest of the course is. Obviously, I understand the time constraints here and Richard did cover a few other mechanisms for levelling in theory. A good day and I’m pleased with the final product.
I was given this as a birthday present, and it was a really fun and informative afternoon. We made lovely seascape coasters and were so pleased we stayed to make a tray. Richard is an excellent teacher, very knowledgable on resin and woodwork. I would thoroughly recommend this course and will be looking into the other courses he offers.
I thoroughly enjoyed my first resin seascapes class (with coasters and a tray). I found Richard to be an excellent and inspiring teacher who’s friendly and helpful. He’s also knowledgeable, creative, and has a broad range of artistic and technical skills and experience. Richard’s enjoyment of teaching is palpable! I look forward to exploring further courses with him in the future.
I bought this class for my partner for a birthday gift as he was interested in learning more about resin. We both agreed it was a fantastic introduction to the skill, and it's something we would love to continue. Richard was a great teacher and was patient with everyone on the class, while providing input when needed. Would definitely recommend to others.
This was a good course for a complete beginner as well as those with an interest. Some notes would be useful - so I'm looking forward to receiving a top tips sheet.
Great course, good fun and covers everything you could want to know. Looking forward to a tips and tricks sheet following!
The workshop was well designed and delivered, laying the groundwork to get going in resin work. Take a notepad and pencil as there’s plenty of hints and tips to note down for future use!
Absolutely brilliant course. Incredibly knowledgeable and talented instruction. Can't wait to get started making more at home!
Absolutely brilliant course. Incredibly knowledgeable and talented instruction. Can't wait to get started making more at home!
Enjoyed part 2 of the course just as much as part 1! Was great to understand how to further work with resin to turn it into a final piece!
Excellent class building on part 1. Richard was very informative on how to use power tools safely, and was patient and helpful with all students with advice on how to replicate results with hand tools rather than industrial-scale milling machines.
Excellent, informative class which allowed me to finish my work to a higher standard than I expected. Good advice on safety with power tools, some unfamiliar and intimidating. Teacher (Richard) was very helpful, and even had some good advice on docking a boat!
I attended the class with my sister and we had a blast. The course was a perfect intro into resin pouring. We made coasters and we’re both really pleased with the results. I’d recommend both days as the course was paced perfectly and you don’t want to rush it. I’d recommend this to anyone who is either interested in taking up working with resin as a hobby / potential business or anyone who is into craft and fancies trying something different.
I’m really glad I returned for part 2 to complete my resin coasters. It’s very satisfying to see the smooth finish and a complete item. Richard was very informative and clear with instructions. I highly recommend doing part 1 and then 2. Now I have my sights set on the coffee table course!
It is a really good workshop. I enjoyed the process of making a coffee table. Richard was very helpful and explained lots of details in the process. This workshop is suitable for the complete beginners like I am. Also in during the course learned few ideas how to improve my garage working space and gained some experience with professional tools.
A great introduction to working with epoxy resin, inspired to do further courses. Enjoyed Richard's class very much; he's a very engaged and supportive tutor, highly skilled and knowledgeable.
Thank you again for a fantastic class. The second part was as good as the first and would strongly recommend it to anyone considering a Resin course. Richard is very experience, full of knowledge and information which he is happy to share. Thanks again Richard.
I had an amazing afternoon!!! Very professional. I will make another’s classes. I recommend !!!

Really good course. Excellent tips and advice on finishing. Well worth attending!
Great way to learn how to use machinery for finishing epoxy poured woodcraft. Enjoyed every minute of the time spent in the workshop. Thanks!
Amazing experience at the exopy resin beginners part two class. Really enjoyed recommend it to everyone. The use of machinery was a new experience for me. Richard was explaining everything in detail clearly an expert in his field. So great to see the end result of my product.
I had a excellent time on this course, the venue was very inspiring and the Teacher was helpful and informative, we learnt how to mix epoxy and learn the different types of epoxy for different projects, it was an easy course to follow with very satisfying results, I was able to upgrade on the day to do a seascape chopping board and I’m so pleased with the result. I fully recommend this course, you won’t be disappointed.
Great course, very informative and any questions we had were answered. Thanks
I loved this class! Great teaching methods allowed me to learn a lot in a short space of time. Would highly recommend!
Great learning! Enjoyed every minute of the workshop. Highly recommend it for anyone looking into making a start into epoxy resin pouring.
Really enjoyed the introduction and first part of coffee table making course. Will be doing part 2 next week. The trainer Richard is very friendly and his approach to teaching is very professional and encourages students to understand all aspects to safely and accurately use resin. If you have an interest in wood working and/or resin pours, I highly recommend this course.
Friendly atmosphere, well-equipped workshop. Lots of useful information, tips and practical advice. A highly enjoyable afternoon. Looking forward to Part 2 next weekend!
The workshop was good fun and informative, although quite pricey. Learning ranged from making the mould, to environment for handling resin, different types of resin, how to size the amount of resin needed, and making the block itself, etc. Some suggestions for future workshop: have a one-pager covering the key lessons so people can refer back rather than rely on memory. Would also be nice to be shown different pouring techniques for achieving different colour effects & transition.
Great fun learning the processes. Richard was a great teacher and we all produced products to cherish.

I've attended the Beginners class and then the Seascapes. I want to say that both classes were very well structured and informative. Richard took enough time to answer all of our questions and to explain us in depth how to work with the materials. I learned a lot of useful things and enjoyed both classes. I would definitely really them to anyone that wants to have fun, learn new skill or start building own projects.
The class was very good and informative. Richard was calm and explained every step very patiently. I am looking forward to our next class.

Fantastic introduction. Cant wait for part 2!
Arrived knowing nothing about Epoxy Resin. Richard shared information with the group in a very patient and friendly way, and we all learnt so much. Starting with setting and creating a sealed frame, and inserting live edged timber, to mixing the epoxy resin to the correct formula, adding colour and pouring it into the frame to create the miniature (very miniature) live edged table. A fab way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Highly recommended.
I had not worked with resin prior to this course and it was very insightful to the material and the possibilities of it. Richard was very informative and answered all the questions raised. The workshop is a great inspiring place in a good easy to access location.
Learnt a lot about epoxy resin techniques, like preparing the mould and adding colour to the resin.
Fantastic course, great introduction to epoxy resin construction techniques including pouring. Call is delivered bye experienced technically competent tutor with great insight. I would thoroughly recommend this for any have a go resin enthusiasts.
A really informative session with lots of technical information. The class was well prepared and I’m excited to receive my finished please in a week #FreePostage ! My only advice would be to maybe offer an informative session (with all the technical bits) and a separate session for crafters (who don’t need all the technical stuff!)
Great day today for my first ever experience of mixing colours and pouring epoxy. Loved every minute of it!
Brilliant morning, the tutor was very informative, so I was able to complete the project confidently . I loved Richard’s style of teaching very encouraging, very excited about my next workshop!
Excellent class! I’ve been wanting to learn this technique for ages, and it’s something I want to be able to teach my A Level Product Design students, so this was a great way to learn without the worry of having to trial and error. I really enjoyed the lesson, and the level of instruction was pitched just right. Amazing facilities and really well prepped for smooth running of the class. I feel confident that this is now something I can do on my own and I’m really excited to try this out again in my own workshop!
We attended to beginners epoxy resin class few weeks ago and decided to try seascapes course as well. It was well organised and so much fun. Richard is brilliant in explaining things and showing us new ways to apply. If you’re into epoxy I’d definitely recommend this course! Lovely atmosphere. Thank you once again🙏🏼🍀
Lovely experience, I really enjoyed. It took me 1hr 40 min to travel to the studio because I live far away but it was worth it and I would do it again. It was great to learn and to see how other students do it, also - learn from our mistakes. I'll be attending other classes in a future. Seascape coasters that I created look nice and other students' work also looked great when we finished.
I really enjoyed the session. Richard was knowledgeable, patient, and very helpful throughout explaining each step in the process to make sure you really understood what you were doing.
Great fun learning the techniques of resin pouring to create seascape coasters. Richard is a great teacher and the time just flew
The seascape resin class is perfect for beginners or first time resin users like me! Richard was very knowledgeable and the class was a lot of fun! I can’t wait to see my finished coasters and tray!
This is a two part course and although I had a one to one for the 1st course, I felt it was more technical than it needed to be for my purposes. (It would be more suitable for someone wanting to start working with epoxy resin on their own, rather than someone who wanted to make a couple of coasters). The second part of the course involved lots of power tools, which I enjoyed using. Richard is a very patient teacher and I was over the moon with the coasters I made.
This was our 2nd time my husband and I attended one of Richard's resin class. It was a very fun class and well organised. Richard is very knowledgeable and very friendly. We are thinking of doing another class we love it much. For anyone interested in learning about resin, I would highly recommend his classes. We can't wait to see our finished product. Thanks Richard!
My second resin class with the River Shop and I loved it just as much as the first- but this time I had the knowledge from the previous class to help me pick better colours/ get a better result and I’m so happy with my final seascape tray & coasters! It’s always a friendly learning experience and I would recommend (and have recommended) this class to everybody! The number of people in this group who were returning to the class shows how great it is!
Perfect course for a beginner to learn about wood and gain confidence using many different tools. Richard is a very informative and friendly instructor. I had a lot of fun and would highly recommend this course to anyone.
Richard was a excellent teacher informative and knowledgeable. The venue was well equipped. We were able to use the machinery and tools to make a bread board. Would be good to be able to make the whole project from scratch over 2 days rather than the initial laminating done for us. Would thoroughly recommend the venue and the tutor. Looking forward to doing another course.

Another very clear and instructive class by Richard on how to finish our little resin boards into 2 coasters . These 2 classes really give you an insight into the Art & Science of epoxy resin woodworking. I will soon be ready for more!
Richard was extremely knowledgeable and guides you through the whole process. He makes it fun and easy. Definitely recommend for anyone interested in woodworking or epoxy resin. Lots to be learnt especially in the finishing of a product. Lots of information available to use on my projects at home. Definitely will be back
Had great fun on the epoxy coaster class! Picked a picture frame as my optional additional piece and really enjoyed doing a larger surface
The course was great - I learnt a lot and the teaching was really helpful. I would recommend anyone looking to learn about woodworking.
I had great fun and I am inspired to learn more and make something wonderful.
Really enjoyed the course. Gave a lot of food for thought and I had so much fun!
Really loved this course. Richard was very engaging and knowledgable. Great teaching, learnt a lot and had fun!
Very enjoyable afternoon. Good pace although it would have been good to have a larger group area so everyone could work together and see what everyone else was doing. But all in, a good way to get an intro into working with epoxy resin. Richard is a patient, knowledgeable, clear teacher and I enjoyed learning from him.
Excellent workshop, very informative and just the right amount of info for a beginner. Richard is so knowledgeable, have already booked onto 2nd workshop! Thoroughly enjoyable morning!
Great workshop, very informative and perfect for those who wants to start playing with resin, either pouring or for crafts and upcycling. Richard is extremely knowledgeable and will tell you everything you need to know, great experienced teacher who helps and support while leaving you free to create. Relaxed and funny environment, I can’t wait to receive my river pour! Highly recommended, and I’m pretty sure I’ll be back for a second one… :)
A great course and a very knowledgeable teacher. Everything was explained well . This taught me a lot about resin usage and tips you wouldn’t know teaching yourself from a book. I would highly recommend anyone to join this class and learn about resin art
The class was very good, informative, relaxed and fun from the beginning. Even though I didn’t know much about Epoxy resin I left the class with so many helpful information. Richard was calm, patient and was explaining every detail very well. I’m looking forward to our next classes. Excellent.
A very well planned beginners resin class with lots of information and inspiring tips. Will try to use everything I was taught there. Would totally recommend this course to anyone!!
Such a great class, Richard really took the time to teach us not only the how, but the why behind the construction, which I really appreciated.
Great experience 😁 good teaching and fundamental in a fun environment
The whole experience was fantastic. The venue was perfect and Richard the perfect guide, giving you assistance where needed but leaving you to learn as much as possible for yourself too. I found it so rewarding to feel like I'd made something from almost nothing and would recommend this course to any beginner. For me this was exactly the right experience to have, so full credit to everyone involved in it. I shall be back for another course in the future!
A fantastic day working with wood. It is a real thrill to see the fruits of your efforts at the end of the day. Richard is an efficient, fun and insightful tutor. I'd recommend this class to anyone interested in wanting to gain some confidence and experience in working with wood.
This course was great fun and very informative. Will certainly use this company again.
Great session - thanks. Relaxed, easy going environment. Will try out some of the other courses. Cheers J
Had a really fun day on the breadboard class. And ended up with - a very nice breadboard, chuffed! Great tuition, facilities, and fellow group of woodworkers. Highly recommend.
Richard is a great teacher! The day goes by so quickly. It’s fun, exciting and even challenging at times. I enjoyed the entire process (including the heavy machines) and can’t wait to try the other courses.
I recently completed the supurb second part of the epoxy course and i must admit. This is the best one of the 2. Lots fo learns from the first course but the second course is when you get to play. With all the tools, toys and gadgets and at the end of the session you see your intial project in it completed form. There is a massive sense of pride and completion when you admire your handy work and hold the finish project in your hands. Huge pride in knowing that you have done it. Richard and the staff are absolutely great. They are friendly, always happy to help and part with valuable knowledge and experience. The course is well structured. There are no lulls or sitting around doing nothing and the best part is that YOU get to play with all the big boy saw, sanders and edging machines. Richard explains how the machine works, the safety element and some tips and tricks and then lets you crack on. Ever the watchful eye and suggestion if required. They just let you be you and make what you want. Or how you would like it. Massive kudos to the team and i will definitely be back to work on various projects. A MASSIVE thanks from me.
Hi, I have learned a lot about how to manage the ingredients to get an epoxy resin work, now I know the importance of planning the right amount of resin involved, just to save money and time! Nice experience, thanks to Richard
I greatly enjoyed the second part of the masterclass. Richard was really helpful and taught us the process of finishing coasters. It was my first time using some of the machines Richard has, but with his support it was really to use them. I'm happy about the results and I'd clearly recommend this course for everyone.
I can't choose which part of this workshop I liked better as they are both great! Our teacher was very attentive and inspiring, the workshop itself was well structured and organised. Can't wait to use my coasters at home as I'm super pleased with the final result.
Part 2 complete! Absolutely brilliant class and of course it was all down to Richards teaching skills, patience and meticulous attention to detail. As with the first class, everything was prepped for you in terms of tools etc in your area. There were 6 in the class so you were able to ask questions and not feel like you were going to hold things up. Richard really cares that you're learning as you go so goes through tools and techniques in detail. The coasters turned out better than I expected especially after the sanding/polishing, really happy with them. If you're on the edge about whether to do it or not, go for it! :)
Really enjoyed my time there, and I learnt a lot of useful information.
What a fantastic experience. Richard was absolutely fantastic. He has loads of knowledge that he is more than happy to share. He also does not spoon feed you all the information but actually makes you think and interact. I find that helps me retain more information and also enjoy the classes loads more. You will not be disappointed. The environment was clean and very well setup and safety is always at the forefront of everything we did. Learning new skills is always great but when you have a sublime instructor, it makes the whole experience just that little more emersive. Plus i get a cool looking project at the end of the session. Now on to part 2.
Really enjoyable afternoon learnt lots of practical information and guidance
I really liked the set up of the workshop and was very interested in the tools. It was really interesting to see a workshop dedicated to timber and epoxy. The teacher was excellent and was happy to answer all my questions and he explained things really well. It was useful to be able to park on site. I like forward to attending the part 2 follow-up workshop.
Very enjoyable day, Richard has all the knowledge.
Excellent course. Covered all the basis and I now feel confident to carry on at home with some element of success. Highly recommended.
The beginners epoxy resin course was great fun and very informative. I recommend bringing a notepad to jot down useful info Richard provides, and watching some epoxy resin vids beforehand so you have some idea of what colours and effect you want to achieve. Highly recommended.
A very informative course and the teacher is friendly and very supportive. Anyone looking to learn how to use epoxy resin should definitely considering this course.
This was an excellent intro class to Epoxy Resin working . Richard is very thorough and knowledgeable on the technical and creative side of Epoxy Resing making . I would prefer the class to be an extra 1/2 hour, so 3 hours as there is so much to take in. Highly recommend it for beginners!
I truly enjoyed the course. The workshop is a good size room very bright; everything was set out for the learners beforehand. Richard is a competent and experienced teacher, his advice are very helpful. I look forward to seeing my little "piece of art"!! Thank you Richard.
Richard did a great job explaining all the fundamentals of epoxy resin work. I had a tonne of fun trying it out for the first time, and I'm really looking forward to the final product
From start to finish the teacher was informative, engaging and eager to teach. Questions were encouraged and explained to each member of the class in detail and to everyone’s level of understanding. Would highly recommend if interested in learning epoxy resin to sign up to this course. Great fun and as mentioned earlier very informative.

Excellent afternoon. Richard was very informative and patient.
Excellent afternoon, learnt a lot - cannot wait to try out the new skills we learnt at home! :)
Youtube epoxy resin videos piqued my interest. Thought before I spent loads of money trying it out, I'd get a professional to show me the ropes. My young adult children were also interested, so I arranged for all three of us to attend. Richard is an amazing teacher. He showed us the appropriate method and also explained the hidden risks that might become costly. We learnt that prep time is most important, everything else will fall into place if this is done right. We had an amazing time...together, which is quite difficult these days as the kiddies are older. Thanks Richard.
Absolutely awesome and unforgettable experience
Absolutely awesome and unforgettable experience
I made a bread board, mission accomplished! It was a good atmosphere and Richard showed us all the cool saws/tools and let us use them - love the hands on vibe. It is also a very creative location. In terms of time: I was a bit confused at first whether it was 3,5 hours or 7,5 hours but Richard explained that it depends on the season and how long the glue needs to dry and also how many students there are. I would have loved to have more time at the beginning using the clamps, gluing the timbers together as I lack spatial awareness and it takes me a bit longer to understand such things. But all in all: highly recommend the workshop! And you can look forward to the giant sander...
I spent a very enjoyable day at the Rivershop. Richard is a fantastic teacher, it's absolutely evident that he has a passion for teaching carpentry, and the machines in the workshop are astonishing! I loved making my breadboard, and I'll be back for more classes. Very pleasant atmosphere too.
Had a great time on the course. Found all the process rewarding and was pleased with the out come.

A great course. Really gave me the confidence to try new resin projects at home.
The epoxy resin part 1 & 2 classes were really enjoyable, we learned everything we needed to give us the confidence to try our own projects.
This is our second of the resin courses, this class was more information so that we could progress in making our own project. I have never used power tools as I've always been worried but with Richards advice and encouragement i grew my confidence. lovely informative afternoon.
I’m so pleased that I invested in this course. I now have the confidence to execute all of my design ideas, using epoxy resin with wood for coffee/console tables and moulds to create decorative home’s accessories. Richard is a master at his craft and an excellent teacher. I highly recommended this course.
This workshop was exactly the thing I needed to learn the basics of resin. Informative & helpful at every step of the way. Top notch!
Fantastic session with Richard! Really excellent introduction into how to use epoxy resin and all of the exciting things you can do with it. Richard was very knowledgeable and very patient with all of our questions. A really fun course and a great introduction to the technique whether it be for a potential new hobby or for home/work DIY. I'm looking forward to the second class! :)
Review of Rivershop Beginners Epoxy Resin Workshop Course5th March 2022 13.30-16.00Facilitator: RichardRivershop StudiosI arrived slightly late to the course and the unit we were in is a little bit of a maze, but Rivershop had sent instructions. The only thing is the front gate has a coded pad on it. If it is locked, it is impossible to get in. The code would have been nice. The workshop is a long narrow room with high ceilings and the first thing I noticed was how well everything was set out, with benches for participants nearest the window and good lighting. Each person had a box with components in needed to complete the task.Richard himself was very good: clear, obviously very competent and knowledgeable, welcoming and wanting to get the best out of the group. He led us through the process of making a small river with epoxy from the frame to hold the wooden pieces and then adding the wood to make some coasters and then the epoxy. Each instruction was clear and repeated, going at everyone’s pace. No questions were treated as stupid and encouragement was given throughout. This was an enjoyable session with a palpable outcome: the epoxy river as promised and everyone made a river that (to my eyes) looked very good.As an introduction to epoxy resin, this was an excellent starter course, with good instruction and excellent materials and equipment. There is a follow up course to finish the coasters: sanding and finishing.I would have liked a handout at the end: Richard said that they had stopped them because people didn’t take them home – maybe just give people the choice whether they want it or not ?All in all, an excellent course that did what it said on the tin.Chris Price
I was bought this a gift as I’ve been interested in making any epoxy table for a while. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, Richard is friendly and knowledgeable and delivered a brilliant course. I just can’t wait to see the finished product.

Richard really knows his stuff - but he also has an excellent way of sharing that information, tailoring his style to the different abilities in the group. I can't recommend the course highly enough!

Great class with excellent instructor. Will definitely do another course soon!!
A very informative and enjoyable course, covering the basics, the potential pitfalls and the great possibilities. It would be nice to leave with some written handouts to help remember and consolidate the information as there is a lot to take in, but still an excellently taught course.
Very informative and friendly class, Myself and my husband went together and even though we new a little about the resin we picked up a few tips. Richard was very helpfull and we look forward to doing other courses in the future,x
Great course, has given me the confidence to start pouring at home :) thanks Richard!
Great course, has given me the confidence to start pouring at home :) thanks Richard!
Having attended a beginner’s class in epoxy resin with The River Shop a few months ago and thoroughly enjoyed it, I wanted to widen my knowledge of crafting skills with a beginners woodworking course. Starting from a basic knowledge that was just about sufficient to know which end to hold of a saw, I came with an open mind and a desire to pick up as much as I could learn. Richard was a superb instructor, making everyone feel at ease whatever one’s skill and knowledge level. Over the course of the day which flew past, I learnt to appreciate and understand wood and laminates and use a variety of power tools that previously I’d have struggled to plug in, let alone know what they did. And to cap it all, I was chuffed with the finished item. Only problem is I like it so much, i don’t know whether I’ll use it or frame it! Looking forward to booking another course with Richard and The River Shop.
This was a fantastic experience. Richard, who runs the workshop, does a wonderful job of making sure you are always busy throughout the day. You are either learning techniques from his excellent, clear explanations or carrying out these newfound skills in practice. I was thrilled with how my board looked at the end of the day and had a great time making it. I cannot recommend this workshop and teacher highly enough!
Good course; would recommend
Amazing experience, got it as a birthday gift. Pacing throughout the day was brilliant, really got to know about the process and techniques used in an engaging way. Made a fantastic chopping board that will last me a lifetime!
The workshop was excellent. A great combo of theory and practical demonstration, which all rolls into a day of making something beautiful and personal. I will definitely be back!
Great class. Richard is an excellent teacher. Finished the day with a beautiful table top. Learnt loads. Thank you

My husband and I had a great day making our own ocean effect resin coasters from ash wood and blue and dark blue resin. Richard taught us about the materials and equipment we were using, and so we left understanding how to confidently use a chop saw, and to sand effectively and create a bevel on the wood. I’m inspired to come back with my dad who loves wood working, and try part one with him, creating more beautiful wooden and resin table-wear. My husband even feels confident to try making us a small resin table himself. I’d definitely recommend, and am very proud of the coasters we made.
Really proud of the two coasters I made at this class with my husband and two friends. Very fun learning about the sanding process, cutting, adding ‘chamfered’ edges, oiling and tips for maintaining our pieces. We were all absolute beginners but the two pros who joined us seemed to take just as much away from Richard’s expertise - so this class really is for everyone. A fun date idea, way to hang out with friends, or to master a new craft. Will come back for more!
Richard is a fantastic tutor and has so much knowledge, his classes are well thought out and very informative. I've loved both part 1&2 of the beginners epoxy course and will be going back for more. I'm confident enough to have a go at my own project, would definitely recommend this course!!
Excellent class! Richard was fun but informative and the set up of the class with everyone facing in to each other made it really sociable. Looking forward to coming back for part 2 and seeing the end product!

A truly fantastic class, I went solo and had a great time in the class and came away with a gorgeous board that I still can’t believe I made!
A once in a lifetime experience that I now want to share with all my friends and family. To experience a day in the life of such a skilled artisanal woodworker in its own right was incredibly special and interesting. Let alone getting stuck in myself doing things I’d never imagine being able to do: from using heavy machinery to cut wood to skilfully mixing and creating with resin. My table is something my family and I will cherish for a long time and I can’t wait to tell people ‘I did that!’. Highly recommend and will be back for the coffee table, serving dish, and whatever else Richard can teach me
It was very informative, friendly and loads of fun. We were taught how to use so many different things and the rooms were full of tools and machines. It was inspirational and amazing time.
I booked this course for my husband as a Christmas gift and he absolutely loved it. He found it very informative and good fun. He's already been out to buy new tools and wood so he can get started at home. He spoke very highly of Richard and said he'd definitely recommend - 5 stars from us! Thank you!
Good course, well delivered
Great class! Richard is so informative and gives you great advice. Will definitely book again!
My11 year old daughter and I absolutely LOVED our beginners course with Richard! He was a great teacher and took the time to explain things clearly and answer all our questions. It was a wonderful into to working with resin and wood and we will definitely be coming back for more classes!!
I bought this course for my son and myself. It was a fantastic and enjoyable day learning all about Resin and more. Richard is very knowledgable, enthusiastic, and a great instructor. Looking forward to the second part. Thanks for a wonderful day.
Thank you so much for such a lovely introduction to Expoxy resin. I had such a great afternoon on your beginners course. Richard’s knowledge, experience and passion coupled with a desire to help others to develop their skills and craft make this really enjoyable, informative and relaxed. I loved the workshop set up with the shop area next next door. Well done for creating such a great space to deliver your courses and to share your experience. It was great to share the workshop with so many nice people. I would be great to see how everyone’s pieces turn out. Do you add them to your Facebook group or Instagram? Is there an optimum (maximum) timescale to return for part 2? I would love to attend part 2 to create the coasters. Is it possible to have delivered both parts over one weekend ( for those lose travelling from further afield)? Or not really feasible with drying times? Is there much call for a cuppy after the class when we have all got to know each other a little bit? A nice social way to end the course. Thank you again. Your course has exceeded all my expectations. So grateful you could accommodate me. Kindest regards Nicola
Great class
I attended the second part of this course to learn all about how to finish live edge wood & resin projects. Richard was great taking us all the way through the process of sanding shaping and polishing to the finished product. Really great course I highly recommend that if you you’re thinking about doing the part 1 course you should also do this one too.
This is a great course for learning all the basics of live edge resin pouring. I really can’t rate this course highly enough. Richard has lots of knowledge to share and was great at answering all of my questions. If you’re looking to get started with resin pouring this is the course for you.

Richard is a great teacher , blending science and theory with fun ! The perfect environment for people to ask questions and try something new. No previous skills or expertise required , I can assure you !
Had a really good afternoon with Richard on the beginners epoxy resin course. Found it very informative and relaxed. Would recommend
Richard is a great teacher, very knowledgeable answering all the questions that were fired at him. We will be back!
This was amazing! I sense an addiction growing inside me :) But seriously the class was great, Richard is a brilliant teacher and explains everything in detail so you genuinely understand how things work the way they do, plus he's pretty funny. It really motivated me to do more classes. The studio itself is well equipped and clean, when you walk in to where you'll be working everything is pre laid out for you (your material, pencils, glue guns etc) so you don't really need to move from that spot until the end when you move your work away so that was really useful. The unit is compact but enough for 8-10 people as everything seems to be thought out in detail. i.e the glue guns are wireless so you don't have cables going everywhere. Simple things like having name tags as well so you don't have awkward moments when you want to ask someone for help is a nice touch. I may have been lucky but the crowd of people who were there were great too which made the experience all the better. I think it's important to note that what you actually make on your first session is different to the picture, it's more like an A5 notepad (slightly thinner) and a bit taller, it's the basis for one long piece to make 2 coasters from, which if you chose to do will be in your second session. I'll be back for the "Part II" and the plan is to build a table at some point his year :)
Great course Great guy. I currently wrote a review saying average and I have tried to change it. There was some misunderstanding myself. So 100% Great course and apologies
Extremely fun class! Richard was great in teaching and encouraging a lively conversation throughout. I feel like I've learnt a bunch of woodworking basics, and will definitely be back for Richard's other classes!

It was great! I absolutely loved every minute of it! Richard is a great instructor, he doesn’t over-instruct and gives the space to really get a sense of the workshop. His communication is super clear. I never did any woodwork before, so learning the basics and getting a beautiful bread board while learning it is absolutely great. I have to say, the 4 hours we spent flew by like 4 minutes! A great opportunity to get a sense of woodworking! Thanks Richard & Georgina!

Very interesting course. Great host. I would suggest a longer day to make the most of traveling to the studio
The resin course was well constructed and informative. Richard the organizer has a friendly attitude which helped the whole class go well. The pieces we made look great and it has given some good ideas for future projects.
Richard was a great teacher and walked us through using resin & the basics of making river tables. Would recommend!
The workshop was fun and informative. They properly teach you how to make an epoxy resin river so that you can then do it by yourself. The actual project does not really look like the pictures on the booking page but it's a rather small and thin sample (the size of an envelope and 1 cm thick).
I would definitely recommend this course to anyone interested in working with epoxy resin, Richard was very knowledgeable and was happy to answer any and all questions.
My colleagues gifted me this workshop for my birthday and I had such a blast! It was a great way to spend an afternoon and now I want to make my own dining table!

Thank you to Richard for a great beginners resin course. It was purchased for my husband’s birthday present, we had a great time and look forward to using all of our new knowledge and skills in the future. Would definitely recommend!
Fantastic course, it gave me the confidence to try it on my own. The tutor was informative and happy to share with us the answers to our questions. Will hopefully be booking another course soon.
This was my first crafty course attended but definitely won’t be my last. Richard was a great host and course leader and I really enjoyed the morning at The River Shop. If you’re thinking of dipping your toe into a crafting experience, I’d highly recommend this.
Great session, really interesting and enjoyable.
A very informative class set at a sensible level for those starting out with resin. Richard, taking the class answered questions and gave lots of help making the time fly by.
A fun and informative workshop. Would recommend to everyone who wants to learn the technicalities of working with epoxy resin without any prior experience. Suitable for all ages as both me and my 11 year old thoroughly enjoyed Richard's teaching and getting creative!
Good course, Richard was very knowledgeable and was happy to answer any and all questions.
Would definitely recommend this workshop. The instructor - Richard - was a great teacher - very knowledgeable and helpful, and you get to make a creation that can either be collected at a later date or posted to you. Bought the workshop as a Xmas gift for my other half and we both really enjoyed it.
Brilliant class. Richard is a great teacher. I am definitely going to do more classes with him. Thanks Richard
Great course, lovely enjoyable, super interesting course. Rodger was lovely teacher. I highly recommend this whether your into art or diy or just for fun. It’s a great concept and my sister took me along. We are both doing the part 2 too. Really beautiful what you can achieve with resin. Highly recommend this course
Very interesting And well planned course. Professional and easy to follow. Certainly will continue to part two.
Great location and venue. Richard very knowledgeable and encouraging with engagement of the group. We thoroughly enjoyed our morning. We highly recommend this workshop for anyone new to resin.

Excellent day. Richard was attentive and we came home with some work to be proud of.
The atmosphere was great, a lot more than just a board making course but a social and educational experience.
Really great class. Richard taught in a very personable way. Seemed to really care about the students experience and the class was relaxed while structured and informative. Would highly recommend..
I really want to thank you Richard for the wonderful time and information. I really enjoyed it . Looking forward for a new classes
The venue was great. We learned a lot about resin and completed an exercise preparing the wood, calculating and mixing Resin. Then the fun part of mixing colours and designing how you wish your piece to look. The teacher knows everything about this topic. Resin is very serious and his knowledge proves it. He made it enjoyable and was very encouraging.

Great class! Richard, our teacher, was very knowledgeable and shared with us a lot of insights on how to work with epoxy resin. We'll be back for part II!
We with my wife liked this master class a lot! It was really great to try epoxy resin and we enjoyed our time. I can certainly recommend this mater class to others and we are planning to go to part 2 to finish our work!
The workshop with Richard was great! He created a very welcoming and open atmosphere, allowing us to learn and be creative without risk. It was very informative and I'm very much looking forward to joining him again for another workshop soon (booked in already)
interestng and informative
Well structured and taught class. Open honest advice from knowledgeable teacher.
The resin art class is an amazing workshop to learn tips, the resin quality and techniques, and the step-by-step process. Thank you Richard for sharing your knowledge and experience and I look forward to take other classes and learn more about the resin art.
Richard was very informative and I have left the class with a very basic understanding of using resin. I do however feel the class was a little too large for the actual workshop we were in. Myself and my group (of 5) were in quite a cramped area with no natural light. The rest of the attendees in the class were on the other side of the room on a large table with lots more light. Richard seemed to focus on that side of the room for most of the class. Just a small criticism, but when I asked a question and needed help, Richard told me to hang on and wait. It would have been nice to have the help i needed as everyone processes information differently.
Really enjoyed the beginners Epoxy Workshop. Very clear and straight forward instruction/guidance. Definitely recommend and will be going back to learn more!!
Great class. Made a very nice end-grain chopping board, really exceeded my expectations in terms of product and range of techniques used. Richard is a very approachable teacher and clearly cares a lot about student outcomes. Plan to go back to do further projects under Richard's supervision.
Happy to attend, would like to attend another one of the woodworking courses here!
Amazing course. Highly recommended. Richard has excellent knowledge and he is very helpful. You will be working with top end tools/equipment which will make your experience 5 star!
Very nice courses! I enjoy every time when I go there. I can't wait to participate again. Thank you, thank you.
A really enjoyable morning, learning some new woodworking skills and finishing off the wood & resin coasters we designed and made in part one of the course. Richard is an excellent teacher - both knowledgeable and fun - and the studio was well equipped. Highly recommended.
My husband and I had already done the first ‘resin river place mat’ workshop and enjoyed it so much we were really looking forward to the second part. We had a really good day and learned so much. I was apprehensive before I started about using the larger machinery but after Richard’s expert demonstration, advice and encouragement I was able to complete my work and even enjoyed myself. I now have new skills! I was delighted by my finished pieces of art. I was really quite pleased with myself. We would highly recommend these courses to any one interested in art and crafts wanting to try something different. Thanks so much Richard. Liz

The course was brilliant, very well organized and good fun.
If you want to make a river table then this is a good place to start. Our tutor Richard was welcoming and explained everything we wanted to know in a calm and collective manner. I would highly recommend this course for anyone who wants to make beautiful things out of resin.
Very good informative course
Great couples activity. Looking to make a river table at some point and very glad we attended the course. Learn how to prepare a frame for your wood, and the right conditions for curing. Thanks guys
Loved it! Gave us the confidence to try a project of our own and taught us all the do’s and don’ts. Great host. Made us very comfortable
Great course learnt more of the tips and tricks needed for a successful project from creating the mould, calculating the mixture needed to complete the pour and colour mixes. Would love to know how to book for the 2nd day and the cost...
It was a great experience and I learned a lot

had a great time.. was brill The instructor was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions, would highly recommend this for anyone looking for a little boost before they start their first project
Very fun workshop! It was a present activity for my fiancé and he liked it a lot! George explained things very clearly and with good sense of humour which made it a very engaging workshop. Will come back for part 2 !
What a great workshop! It was our first experience with resin and we enjoyed it very much. Great location, timing and teacher :)
My wife and I spent a great morning with Richard. The venue was lovely and well organized. The teacher was kind, patient, and funny. We simply loved it!
I was interested in this course because it was an essential first step to a much larger project that I have in mind. The clarity of the information given and the friendly delivery and chat amongst fellow students made for a most enjoyable afternoon, and a brilliant first step for my project.
I had no preconceptions about this course, and being in my 70’s I wondered if I would keep up. No need to be concerned, Richard was a very competent and friendly teacher, made sure everyone was comfortable with the information and lent a hand with any practical difficulties. I thoroughly enjoyed making the first piece I have done, and have the appetite for more. It may be the start of a brand new hobby. The venue was well equipped, and the arrival instructions actually worked out perfectly although it seemed a little deserted when we got there early! I would thoroughly recommend.

Attended the Epoxy Resin Workshop on Sat 6 Nov in Woolwich. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Richard is a great teacher, and took us carefully through the various stages, so at the end we had created beautiful mini epoxy resin river tables. Fantastic, and I can't wait to receive it when it's dried. Thanks Maria
Learnt about epoxy table making. Teacher was friendly and informative. Venue was nice and easy to get to.

An amazing course - simple, informative and so well organised. You have everything you need laid out in front of you and just need to follow Richards instructions to come away with a lot of knowledge and something beautiful you made yourself. Thanks Richards I throughly enjoyed my afternoon!

Very good experience, Richard was a great teacher, we learnt a lot and look forward to receiving our finished pieces. Best wishes, Richard and James
This course is a must after part 1. Having seen so many videos on the internet on how to finish a project, generally showing different ways of finishing, this helps make sense of it all and gives confidence to the future projects
If you are interested in getting into epoxy this is the course for you. Richard was great. He explained how everything worked and interacted with the whole group. Recommended.
So much fun! Had a blast with this course. It was well planned, explained, educational and had great fun making my river piece. As a complete novice, never having done any epoxy before, I can’t recommend enough how at ease and comfortable I felt and would urge anyone reading this to get booked in. Hopefully I’ll be back for another course one day soon. Thank you!
I enjoyed the class on Saturday, it was a good experience and to try something new. Richard explained everything clearly and was helpful. I am now looking forward to seeing my cured board and joining Part 2 soon. Thank you
Absolute loved this little craft workshop. This was the perfect birthday gift for me! I have wanted to try resin for a long time but was not confident enough. Richard, the teacher, was amazing and explained everything in great detail. I came away with the confidence to give it a go by myself. Would highly recommend this for any crafty lovers out there that want to try something new.
Had great fun at the workshop, Richard is very knowledgable and experienced. Highly recommend for anyone looking to try something new!
Learned how to prepare the mould, the wood and the epoxy resin in the first stage of making a pair of coasters. Very useful basic info for someone wishing to pursue this as either a hobby or business and very easy to understand. Highlighted potential pitfalls that could be very costly.
Was good fun and the teacher was very knowledgable and patient, staying after class to answer my questions.
Great course. Easy to follow instruction and a lot of fun. Definitely keen to do part 2
I enjoyed it a lot , learn more and it did open my eyes
All the equipment that we needed to be able do our Epoxy Course was conveniently in our own plastic tray for us. Richard was a great tutor, he explained everything meticulously and we were able to ask any questions we needed. He was keen to share his knowledge and I now feel very happy that I can make something with confidence. I would definitely recommend this course.
Did the beginners class, its a very good 1st step into working with resin, there's alot more too it than you'd think. Richard has extensive knowledge and shares it well. Every step is very clearly and simply explained. Highly recommended.
Overall very good, great fun and I learned a lot, loads of useful tips and advice. I was also very happy with the result. The only criticism I would make is that there were a lot of people on the workshop and it was fairly full on with a lot to cover - a break in the middle for tea and discussion would have been very welcome, rather than at the beginning.
Richard was really informative and happy to answer any questions. It was a very hands on course and it was great to get really creative at the end with the colours of the resin. Excited to get started and try it at home.
Learned a lot in an afternoon and I’d be confident in taking on bigger projects in future. Richard a great friendly tutor.
Richard is a great teacher. The class was friendly and informative. A big success!

Great experience..clear guidance. Though would like to have had more time as weighing out materials and blow torching were not permitted. All round good course though, would recommend.
Great atmosphere, good Information and products - attentive and informative teacher. I recommend this course
What a fabulous way to spend a Saturday! My wife and I had an enjoyable morning in the company of Richard, the course tutor, and some friendly fellow participants. We learnt about many aspects of working with epoxy resin - including design issues, health & safety and practical considerations. We not only learnt the theory, but were taken step by step through the hands-on process of making our own wood and resin coasters. Richard was a great teacher - knowledgeable and friendly. We shall definitely be back for Part Two of the course.
Many thanks to friendly forces Courses for the epoxy resins beginners learning experience on Saturday, very informative and made easy to understand. Highly recommended
Great course - thoroughly enjoyable! Richard is able to set out the key principles of using epoxy resin, and the use these principles to make a simple board. I will be back to attend the follow on course !
Fantastic, fun class with a kind, patient teacher. Learnt a lot about the process and had a lot of fun working on our own creation. The teacher gave us great tips and watch outs for working with resin on our own - super helpful to hear from straight an expert.
I was a complete beginner to work with epoxy resin and I learned lots of the practical skills, principles and also how to put your own artistic stamp on your work. My class was run by Richard who was very welcoming and interesting. He made me feel at ease so I felt able to ask questions and check when I wasn’t sure. The workshop is light, airy and was set in an interesting creative hub. I had a really great morning and certainly want to come back for the second part of the course.

Really great and informative workshop. Taking away lots of ideas and can't wait to see how I can funk up all the scraps of wood in my garage!
Thoroughly enjoyed the Beginners Epoxy workshop! I attended with my mom and we were welcomed from the start. Richard was friendly, professional and happy to answer questions about working with resin. I learned a lot and feel equipped with enough information to go ahead and start my own project. Will certainly be recommending this workshop to my friends!
Excellent course, conducted in a great group and delivered by a fantastic tutor. Richard took us through the process of creating a scaled down river table at a comfortable pace, taking the time to ensure we had a solid understanding of the processes involved, and giving us plenty of opportunity to explain our aspirations and plans with regard to future projects, and then apply the process to those concepts. It was great to be able to get a pragmatic perspective on the subject - emphasing how we can realistically reduce the cost of working with resin, how to avoid common mistakes, and ensuring our planning and preparation is on point. It gives me a great deal of confidence in working with resin on small and large projects alike. In addition, I just really enjoyed the process of being creative with resin - in the past, it's been a case of working quickly to ensure I get it done without making major mistakes... but here I was confident that I could take my time, learn, be creative, and it would still work out. All in all, a brilliant experience and a valuable new skill. Thank you!
Brilliant course! Excellent facilitator
Tom and I had a great time at this class. I have always loved epoxy resin river tables and there is no other class like this in London. We have worked with resin on a smaller scale before, but it was fun learning to do it with wooden boards, and constructing the mould etc. It's relaxing, mindful and creative. And there arent't too many people, so the teacher has time to answer everyone's questions.
The workshop was fantastic. Richard was welcoming, friendly and happy to answer all questions. He walked us through the steps very clearly and provided all the information needed for us to go home and get started on a project. Highly recommend!
An excellent introduction to epoxy resin. Very relaxed atmosphere and lots of tips on how to do your own projects
Great course (beginners epoxy resin), clear steps and help regardless of previous experience. Richard very informative and supportive, as well as keen people go away and practice the skills.
Excellent class if you want to start using epoxy then doing this class will help you on your way the teacher was very helpful and knowledgeable so was able to answer any questions and to give tips would definitely recommend
I thoroughly enjoyed the course I took part in and would highly recommend. I’ve always enjoyed making new things and had given resin a go before but never seemed to have a good outcome. I feel as if no YouTube video could help me as much as this course did it was clear with instructions and the teacher was extremely friendly and helped out the whole team. He was very open to answering questions and made the activity more enjoyable. It opened my eyes to try new things at home and I would love to take part in another activity like this soon. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and one I would recommended to others in the future.

Had a great time as an intermediate resin user at the resin beginners course part 1, despite having worked with resin and paint alone previously I still learnt a lot from this course in terms of woodworking and combining resin and wood properly :)

What a great class to start my epoxy resin journey. I didn’t really know fully what to expect from the class, as I’ve never used resin before. It’s amazing what things you can use it for. I am buzzing with ideas now. The course, run by Richard, was taught at just the right pace for everyone to follow. Richard was full of very detailed information for us and nothing was too much trouble to answer, no matter how small. It was a nice sized class and just right for the room size. I will definitely be coming back for the Epoxy Resin Part 2 class.
The course was very helpful. The instructor was patient and knowledgeable. The basics of resin using were taught well. Good course for a beginner. Would have like to be able to try mixing the resin with colours and seeing the result a bit more. That was the most fun part.
My main reason for going on the course was to see what I was doing wrong with my try at mixing the resins Richard pointed me in the right direction. I would recommend this course to anyone into resin I learnt so much and really enjoyed it. Richard teaches at a good speed not fast so you can follow him and ask him questions.
Great informative beginners class into Epoxy Resin, very helpful teacher and great learning environment. They also ensured we were all comfortable from a Covid Social Distancing perspective. Well worth it!
Really great course. Resin looks easy on YouTube but there was no substitute for being in a room with an expert answering questions and demonstrating things in a relaxed and pleasant environment. Picked up some really useful tips and now feel more confident to give things a go. Will certainly come back. Plenty of parking COVID procedure was all good. A great day many thanks.
A few things I learned was measuring resin, in a covid19 friendly environment, instructors took in account my disability, ps you don't always see this in courses, questions where answered and a worthwhile course, a enjoyable day out learned a lot and can't wait for the results to get home.

Thanks for well informed and very interesting beginners course the presentation was excellent and the hands-on experiences was a great help to the understanding of epoxy reading . Vic Wright
Superb intro course to resin. Everything was provided and the pace was perfect, it was good fun, meeting others interested in the same thing. The tutors enthusiasm came through and he gave enough time to each as well as providing great tips. Do this course if you have an interest in resin art.
The team were very friendly and helpful.
Really enjoyable and informative beginners course. My partner and I attended - having been mesmerized by river pours on YouTube, and wanting to trial the technique ourselves - maybe have a go at a larger project down the track. Richard, the instructor, was patient, detailed and eager to inspire people to have a go with a project. The class if well paced, and stepped out - as you make a mold, mix your resin and then pour. The end result is a board, but you can come back to part 2 to create coasters. Thank you - we had an enjoyable workshop and learned a lot! :)
Great beginner's class for those interested in learning the basics. Teaching was clear and at a pace suitable for all. We look forward to seeing the finished product!
I did this course recently and was thoroughly impressed. The process was well explained with plenty of hints and tips on how to continue with this medium on your own afterwards. In spite of us all being complete beginners we produced stunning and sometimes surprisingly interesting results. No two were the same. I would highly recommend this course.
Richard is a great teacher. I especially appreciated the insider knowledge he provides on the practicalities of working with resin, and the expensive mistakes that are so easily made. A great course.
Richard was very informative & guided the class really well.
I have previously attended a course run by Richard Wagner which was excellent in all respects. Richard was extremely well prepared with good facilities and material for the project. He is very skilled on the techniques and also has a generous and informative style of teaching that encourages all skill levels to take part. I would thoroughly recommend Richard and the course.
Fantastic course! Really knowledgeable teacher, I can’t wait to go back again.
Really enjoyed this course and will be returning for the part 2. Well organised. A good introduction to working with resin and lots of useful information. Thankyou
Very good helpful corse friendly and informative Richard was very knowledgeable in all things resin had a great day am waiting for the next course hopefully a bread/cheese board thank you Richard for a good day 😀👍
This part II course is the cherry on the cake and I loved it. I used a lot of tools that I’d never used before and learnt so much more. I love the coasters I’ve made. I’m looking forward to the next course.
Fantastic course to start you off. Very helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend.

My wife and I attended the introductory class for working with resin. What an amazing class. Richard was extremely knowledgeable and we honestly can't wait for our next class! I feel that the way he taught our class really excited us with wanting to learn more about working with resin. CAN'T WAIT!!!
I enjoyed the course and will be booking the next one soon 👍
Had a really educational day with Richard and his team. It’s was so useful to learn how to do a live edge pour. There’s not much he doesn’t know about resin. I will definitely be signing up for more of his classes. 100% worth doing. Thanks Richard
Great beginners epoxy resin workshop teacher very informative and happy to answer all questions a great base to start your epoxy journey
Great beginners workshop, learnt everything needed to start using epoxy and combining with wood. Very helpful and friendly teaching. Venue was easy to find and well equipped for workshop.
It was a very good course. It gave a good insight to know how and where to start with making a resin table. Richard was very informative about the subject matter and knew his craft well. If you would like to know how to make a resin table - this course would be very beneficial as a starting point. I had 2 guests with me and they really enjoyed the experience too.
Amazing course, I enjoyed every minute of it, seeing my river table come to life was immensely satisfying and the instruction has left me more confident with both tools and materials.
Pros. The teacher was friendly, funny and welcoming. Parking is good. Mould making concept was well explained. Concepts of resin, weighing and mixing are very well explained. Time is well spent making sure each student understood the volume calculations. Teacher happy to stay back to answer any and all questions and offers email advice. Cons. Group quite large (12ish) Not take away notes. Project wasn't a usable item (6 inch chopping board?) Very structured, so no options what you are making or for embedded items in the cast etc. Volume calculations didn't work so the Mould was half empty. Mould was pre-cut. Wood was pre-cut. Torching out bubbles was a 'watch only' experience as no one was allowed to touch the torch. Most bubble were missed so the project wasn't worth keeping. Temp, humidity etc are mentioned as important but not explained. Course was not as described. The course states 2.5 hours but is really 2 hours at most and it is not a course, it is only PART of a basic course. Even though is states...... WHAT HAPPENS IN THIS CLASS? ...... walk away with your very own unique live edge pour. This not true. The class stops at the pouring stage. Instead of bringing out solid pours to use to learn the full process you are told you have to pay £90 more to finish your first one on another day. Therefore you don't learn milling, planing, routing, sanding, wet flatting, polishing, waxing, etc. This could be a very good course.
Great intro course for all things resin! Richard was a really knowledgeable and empathetic tutor who had time for everyone on the course no matter the level. Can't wait to book on to part 2
Perfect introduction to epoxy resin. Really enjoyable and taught clearly with great descriptions and information.
This course was amazing! I wasn't sure if i could do it right but the course really did demystify the process and given me so much confidence!
The teacher was so friendly and helpful. Its so amazing how simple he made things! I really enjoyed this course and would highly recommend!
Fantastic service. Really friendly and approachable in every aspect!!! Deffo using again! Michael
Really great lesson, very easy to follow, not at all intimidating as a less craftsy person
A hands on and fun learning experience with Richard who made the session informative and enjoyable. I've signed up for Part 2 and highly recommend the course to anyone curious on taking on an epoxy resin hobby.
Superb. Richard was clear, patient, friendly and informative. Agneisha (sorry for spelling!) was really helpful too. The preparation, facilities and organisation were great. We got stuck straight in, and ended up with a nice finished piece. It was an excellent introduction and well worth doing.
Great workshop, very informative, enjoyed by the whole family. Thank you Richard & Agnisha
I really enjoyed this course. Richard was a fantastic teacher, all the instructions were really clear and everything was well prepped. It was exactly what I hoped for in terms of getting stuck in and learning the epoxy process. I'm looking forward to getting my work back, and can't wait to get the materials together and have another go now I feel more confident. Would recommend!
Fantastic course! Everyone was really friendly and we dove straight into making a miniature river table! All details were explained thoroughly and with patience. Would 100% recommend anyone taking this as their first class. Thanks guys! Andrew
The instructor and assistant were very friendly and supportive on the course, and made it easy for me to understand, and I now feel capable that I could reproduce this and it has widened my understanding of epoxy resin

Really good beginners course today, all Covid protocols explained and adhered to. Very interesting insight into how to work with and manage Epoxy resin products and I will be looking at the other courses once I've had the time to practice what we've learnt today.
I absolutely loved this course. It was informative and fun. It’s definitely given me more confidence in trying more stuff. I’m definitely going to be back for part 2. The teachers were friendly and easy to talk to.

Lots of fun trying my hand at something new, and really pleased with the end result. Workshop is large and relatively spacious - a good thing, in these strange, socially-distanced times.
A great introduction to epoxy resin for beginners. I learned so much and I am looking forward to working on larger projects. Thank you Richard.
Very good fun, Richard was a very good at imparting his knowledge and experience, and the course itself was very hands on and practical. Overall great experience and I would recommend to others.
Everything went really well Richard was brilliant covering everything and more.
Richard is a good instructor. He knew I was a complete novice and took the time to guide me through the process. I came in with zero knowledge, and left the session with a good understanding of how I could make my own resin creation. Well worth the time and the money.
Thanks Richard for teaching us and give everyone time to ask questions and answer it for more details. I really like the workshop clean and tidy, social distance, everyone has their own equipment for training. Definitely I will come back for more training. Thanks
Really enjoyed the class, teacher was really good and made the whole thing enjoyable, would definitely recommend
Richard was a grat teacher and explained everything in details.
A great intro to epoxy resin principles & process. The course was structured to help anyone understand the basics. The teacher was very engaging and really friendly. I felt I learned a lot from the course and created a foundation of knowledge to start building upon. I would recommend this course to anyone interested in learning more about the craft.
Amazing couple of hours, the teacher was very informative and he suggested many tips. A real Expert!
Lovely atmosphere, also for people who never had experience with wood-resin. Very formative!
Richard was a really good instructor, very informative and really nice. Very well organised afernoon, very much enjoyed and will be back!
A great resin workshop working on a smaller scale, but the instructor was able to relate everything so you would be able to pour a large table Very knowledgable regarding the entire table construction A great day

Very nice experience! I'm a lot more confident and wish to come back for another class! Thank you!
This was a great course which set out all the steps clearly. It would have been good to have a list of the steps afterwards because I didn’t take notes. Richard was friendly and accomodated the pandemic . The coffee at the start was a nice touch
I can't recommend this class enough. The venue was spacious and airy. The teacher, Richard, was quite friendly and does know his stuff. He took his time to explain each step/process, and was able to answer all our questions.
Enjoyed the workshop, chance to ask some technical questions and learn a few new techniques. Look forward to a finishing course in future.
Very interesting 1st lesson, learnt alot, worth while
Really good and interesting course smashing introduction to Epoxy expiration
I recommend this course to those people who approach the world of resin for the first time and I found qualified teachers ready to remove any doubts. Thank you

A great introduction to river tables and epoxy resin work! super fun, informative easy to follow and looking forward to doing more! Thank you Claude
Richard, the teacher, was extremely helpful, informative & patient and also Agy his assistant. The course was so enjoyable and I managed to produce a piece of work that I'm extremely pleased with. All covid regulations complied with, felt very safe. Would recommend this course to anyone, even if you think you're not very artistic - you will be guided through the process which is easy to follow.
I booked this for my wife as a birthday gift. She loved it, says she feels a lot more confident to give it a go on her own. Richard was very knowledgeable and patient in answering lots of questions on the day.
Great fun as an introduction or refresher to epoxy resin. Good direction from a confident and friendly team. Looking forward to exploring this in more detail.
Had a great day with Richard, learning all the foundations and tricks of the trade when working with resin. Everything was well organised and resources were as required. A lot of fun and an informative experience. Thank you all.
Great workshop. Very informative and fun too! They reduced class sizes so was easily able to stay socially distanced throughout. Highly recommended

Great course! Really enjoyable, easy to follow and very informative! I really enjoyed this course and learnt a lot, this will really help me in the future with my resin projects. The venue was really easy to find and the teacher was also great.
After recently being made redundant from a job i had been doing for 35 years & no longer enjoying, i decided it would be nice to do something that i would enjoy. After looking at images of river tables & finding them fascinating i booked myself on the river table course. It turned out to be a wise move as the course has left me with a confidence that i didn't have before attending. I have looked at many videos on this subject but nothing has given me the confidence to try & make a river table on my own. I would highly recommend taking this course if you are thinking of making one of these amazing tables.
Really interesting, informative course. I only went to keep a friend company, as we have a shared love of all things crafty, but I ended up getting a lot more out of it than expected and would now love to explore the medium of resin more. Thanks Richard for a great experience. Would definitely recommend to anyone considering this course.
Great workshop, really enjoyed the experience. Very informative and fun.
Wow. Brilliant. Theory & pitfalls explained. Richard was very good. Would recommend even if you are doing smaller pieces. My husband and I really enjoyed it very much indeed. If you want to take up a new hobby this is a perfect starter to get you going. Well done Richard & Thank you so much. The Blackburn's.
The course was really good. I learned all the basics that I need to know to get started with epoxy resin. Everything was provided, teacher was very knowledgeable, venue was good. I can't wait to get my finished piece once it's fully dried! Thank you :)
Great course, definitely has me hooked on exploring epoxy resin further and creating more pieces. Richard very informative and clearly loves what he does. Highly recommended
Thoroughly enjoyed the epoxy resin course. It was well organised and the staff are really helpful and friendly. Highly recommend this beginners course and look forward to the full table making course. Simon & Karen
Really good course. I learn't lots of little tricks advice which I wouldn't have been able to get easily online. Course was a very good length. Instructor was very friendly and helpful.
The workshop was very enjoyable and a great introduction into Epoxy Resin and using it to craft things at home as a hobby. The workshop covers some good topics such as calculating how much resin you need and the ratio mix with hardener etc. Richard is very friendly and happy to answer any questions you might have.
Attended this course with a friend with a view to ultimately making small tables at home. The location is very easy to find and the workshop was the perfect size for our class of 12 people. The instructor was very knowledgeable and able to answer all our weird questions! I would absolutely recommend this course if you're interested in any table projects.
Really enjoyed the morning but a lot to take in .Richard was very good ,and explained things well . It would be helpful to have some information to take away of everything we covered in the class , dos and donts , etc . We tried to jot some notes down but whilst doing this you can miss other things being explained . We are looking to incorporate resin art in our current business therefore more information to recap on after the day ,the better . We are going to book another class with Richard to extend on what we have learnt so far . We were also well looked after with teas and coffees being made for us whenever we wanted which was an extended bonus !!
Intro to Epoxy Resin Course was very good. Learnt a lot and would look to do more courses delivered by Richard. Even let me spend some extra time on my work after the course to correct a mistake. Thank you. Can’t wait to receive my piece. I am a visual learner so a step by step quick demo at each stage would have meant a lot less class questions and mistakes but still a great course. 👍
Very good workshop run by Richard. Learnt a lot and now looking forward to starting some new exciting projects. Very covid secure environment. Looking forward to more workshops with Friendly Forces Construction soon!
Really enjoyed this workshop! Richard was a great teacher and very informative. I had hundreds of questions, which he was happy to answer. Got a lot out of the workshop and very excited to put it all into practice!
Richard is a very good tutor and the course was well run and at exactly the right level. Looking forward to the next course that we will have with him.
Really cool workshop. Decided to give it a try with no experience or really any idea what to do, but feel confident now that I could figure it out and build something I'm proud of by myself.
I really enjoyed the course and had fun getting creative! Richard explained everything really clearly and was very friendly and approachable. I felt safe with the Covid-19 measures in place and we were given the option of leaving at anytime if we felt unsafe. Would recommend to anyone wishing to explore the world of epoxy resin. Great advice and a fab place to start!
It was great. All appropriate COVID precautions had been put in place and the course itself was brilliant. The teacher was knowledgeable, helpful, explained everything clearly and was happy to answer any questions or provide general guidance. Very glad we chose this course.,
I had a great time attending the resin workshop on Saturday, the venue was excellent (and covid rules adhered to thoroughly throughout), but it was the quality of teaching that really made the course stand out. I came away having learnt a lot in a short space of time without feeling overwhelmed, and the practical hands-on approach to learning how to prepare a mould and mix the resin was fantastic.
Brilliant course! Richard had all the answers to some very detailed questions. Friendly atmosphere and excited to have a go at some tables! Thanks for a great day!
Brilliant day, full of lots of information for resin casing, would highly recommend it for any beginner
Our tutor was very welcoming and great though out! Helpful with any questions we had, patient and knowledgable! The course it’s self was also great It gave you all the knowledge and skills you needed to start you own small projects! Couldn’t have had a better experience!!!
What an excellent experience. I learned so much which will enable me to start out, creating different and unique pieces using epoxy resin. The teacher was very informative and explained each step in detail and made it easy to understand. It was a great venue with parking which was a bonus.
Richard is a fantastic instructor and the course was great. Very knowledgeable about his craft and answered every question well. Highly recommend and we will be heading back for his new courses
Well paced, informative and a great introduction to a new world of crafting
I learned exactly what i intended to when i was booked the course. The course was informative and the experience was excellent as my first time working with epoxy together with wood. Richard (the teacher) was very informative and friendly. Managed to help with all of my questions and provide some insight into the epoxy world beyond just the course. Easily accessible location with ample parking, and just right for the purposes for the course.
Quick and very informative course . Enjoyed it 10/10
As a beginner using Epoxy Resin this course is a great introduction about how to get it right, and learn the important steps about how not to make an expensive mistake! Richard gives you confidence to experiment, is reassuring with his depth and breadth of knowledge on the subject and is calm, cool and collected balancing the needs of the class. The venue was well set up to follow current Government guidelines and gave us the space we needed to work.
Richard was friendly, patient, knowledgable and open to asking any questions participants had. Great workshop!
As someone who has tried working with resin before I really enjoyed this course. The teacher, Richard, was friendly and answered all questions in a clear and easy to understand way. Some of the little tips he gave us I feel will be invaluable for me going forward. As with everything during Covid-19 I was a little apprehensive about attending course, but I need not have been as the workshop was set out well and those in attendance had good space around them.
I have to admit I was a little apprehensive about attending the class, but our teacher, Richard, put us all at ease and the workshop was well laid out. The class itself was informative and well paced, Richard took time to answer all questions. The explaining of what can go wrong and how to fix them helped me see where I'd been going wrong when I'd tried working with resin previously. Richard was friendly and easy to approach with queries. Will definitely recommend this course to others.
The course was fun interactive and very informative. Richard answered all our doubts. The timing mentioned in details was 12 to 3.45 but we were free by 2.15. For the fees we paid i guess we could have made one more project all by ourselves. But nonetheless the course was great. Thanks Obby.
This workshop was so much more than i expected! I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to everyone who want to widen knowledge of using Epoxy Resin! The way everything was explained made it very easy to grasp and understand what I needed to do and why. I was very happy with how Richard taught the group and i would like to attend again to make harder and larger design :) India
The course was good and friendly. It covered a lot of basic and there was plenty of time for questions. I would definitely recommend this course as it was a nice afternoon
Richard was informative and friendly with all the information useful and relevant. No question was too small for him to answer. the pace of the course was perfect and gives you confidence to start your first project using resin. I would definitely recommend this course.
I really enjoyed this course. It was easy to understand but an important course to take when wanting to get creative with epoxy resin. I was also pleased with the social distancing and hygiene undertaken.

Went on the beginners epoxy resin course as a gift. Just what I was expecting. Fun, friendly and informative. May or may not take it further but always good to learn something new.

I enjoyed learning how to use epoxy resin. I would have liked to have created something useful at the end. I guess what we created can be used as decorative art. It was certainly interesting and got my creative juices flowing.
Very pleased I attended this course. The teacher is informative, knowledgeable and patient. Happy to answer questions and give lots of guidance. Even with social distancing measures in place it was a relaxed atmosphere where I was able to work at my own pace. Would definitely recommend this as a good starting class of you have never used resin before.
This was a very good course. I learned a lot in a short space of time and am keen to learn more about working with epoxy resin.
Im a complete novice who decided I wasnted to learn after watching way too many You Tube videos. I came away from the class with all the knowledge i need to go away a play. Very informative great atmosphere and top notch teaching. Would recommend to anyone its a fab way to spend a few hours learning a new skill and having a good time. Thank you
Great venue, friendly atmosphere, very informative with detailed information. Worth every penny.
I had a wonderful experience! Can’t wait to get started!
An amazing experience that gives you the tools you need to start your own epoxy journey. It thoroughly enjoyable and looking forward to the next one!
This is the first workshop I attended on using Resins, its ideal for beginners and covers key information and steps for resin casting. While we covered a little bit on the finishing steps, this is key for my ongoing projects - I'm going to take up Richard's advise on easycomposites products and their great customer care. Richard is great and very knowlegable answering all questions patiently. Good care was taken to ensure everyone was safe and comfortable while working under Covid restrictions.
This workshop is ideal for beginners like myself, I gained more information than I had expected in the few hours spent. Richard was a great teacher who was very knowlegable and more than happy to answer any questions the class had, he also went the extra mile to ensure everyone was safe and comfortable while working under Covid restrictions, really enjoyable experience, well worth travelling from Northern Ireland, really looking forward to the next course.
I attended this course with my wife to learn a little more about epoxy resin and we had a brilliant afternoon. Richard was a really good teacher took the time to explain everything to us and made us feel very safe in these strange COVID times. We would definitely recommend this course for anyone who is a beginner wanting to learn more and have a little practice at using the resin and messing about with the colours. Thank you Richard.
Enjoyable and very informative session on using resin. Instructor was very knowledgable and friendly and guided us through all the steps in making our resin projects.
Great course, really enjoyed it. Richard is a great teacher, very helpful & knowledgeable. Class size was perfect. Would highly recommend to others.
Absolutely loved it, I’ve started epoxy strat away at home, our teacher was brilliant
The epoxy resin course was just what I had been looking for. Richard was a great teacher, practical and informative. Good size class so he had time to talk to us and answer any questions. All materials provided. Looking forward to seeing the piece I have made, and to the next class when they start up on making a river table. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend it to others.
Great course. Learnt a lot very useful. Good size class as well. Teacher was friendly, patient and informative.
This was a very interesting course, I feel I learnt everything I needed to know. Our teacher Richard was very helpful and full of advice. The workshop was great, I look forward to another course, thank you

This class was excellent and informative. We were taught the fundamentals and are now about to attempt our own projects. I feel even more excited to get stuck in and look forward to the table making course.
A very well run course. Richard was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my many questions! I felt safe at all times with the Covid rules in place and PPE available. Looking forward to seeing my final piece
Good workshop with knowledgeable teacher Richard. COVID precautions were stressed and PPE provided. Would have liked to see more examples of completed projects or test pieces, as being a complete beginner, I had no reference points. Would recommend the course
I am a painter and decoration, it was great to learned something different, how to work with Epoxi Resin and make spectacular table tops and the most important learned how to measure the Epoxy Resin. Mr Richard was spectacular with the introduction of the course, friendly, ready to take any doubts about it, and was very careful with social distances and we had the necessary disposition to feel safe. The place is comfortable for the number of students, clean and very organized, I liked it.
Very polite and friendly teacher. Everything was explained and all the questions were answered. The Workshop is clean and tidy. Masks and gloves were provided. Definitely would recommend to a friends. 10 out of 10. Thank you
Richard was friendly informative and knowledgeable. The venue was right for the size of the group. And with the covid restrictions in place, gloves, masks and social distancing in place, felt as Safe as could possibly be. Richard explained at the start about what was required with the policys in place from Obby and he and our group compled. On the day we completed a model river table approximately 27x24cm, which gave the skills to return home and try something larger. Richard gave a lot of useful information and how he uses resin. I definitely give this experience 5 stars and would recommend.
Nice and friendly instructor really helpful and didn't mind my endless questions. I felt perfectly safe with all the Covid safety precautions in place and can't wait to see my finished piece.
A lovely day spent with my partner Matt for his Birthday gift. Richard was very helpful and knowledgeable and answered all of my many questions. Felt safe at all times with effective Covid rules in place. Looking forward to seeing my final piece!
Richard was extremely friendly and explained everything very well. The class was laid out in a way to allow for social distancing and masks and hand gel was also provided. I learnt a lot about preparation, mixing, and coloring design. Great course for a complete beginner like me and I look forward to seeing my work once completely set. Richard will post home so no need to travel back if you live a distance away. Have a go you will be very pleased you did. Look forward to coffee table resin class next. Thank you
Absolutely loved this class! Richard was very knowledgable and patient. The class ran smoothly and we enjoyed every minute. We both felt very safe with measures that had been put into place in light of COVID19 and would definitely attend another class and recommend to others. Can’t wait to receive our final products. This has definitely given me more resin ideas for the future. I’ve found a new hobby for sure!

Amazing experience. The basics another skill is in the bag. Went very smooth. Recommended!
All perfect, the class informative, the instructor knowledgable and calm, premises new and equipped. Would come back
Great introductory course with a lot of great tips on technique and equipment / materials requirements. Richard is friendly, knowledgeable and on hand to assist when needed. Great venue with plenty of free onsite parking. Highly recommended for people with no previous experience of epoxy resin casting / pouring

Had such a great time, Richard was a great teacher. I left feeling really well informed and ready to start all the projects I had in mind! Can't wait to see my finished board :)
Richard was very helpful, very informative and was well planned. I can highly recommend this course for beginners, some key points were addressed for binding the resin to the timber and how you remove bubble. Im ordering resin as we speak!!
Really enjoyed the course time. Richard was very knowledgable and very receptive to questions during the course time. First time resin user and really liked the whole experience. Great taster to hopefully move on to bigger things.
Really enjoyed this 2-3h course. Richard was very knowledgeable and patient and, as a complete beginner, I found the pace and detail offered in the course just right. A cup of tea would have made it perfect 😉. I am looking forward to my finished river resin board coming in the post!

Richard was very informative , helpful and friendly. We found that instruction was good and the step by step tuition was excellent. We have tried a couple of casts before attending this course and we hit a couple of issues. On the course we discussed with Richard what had happened and we talked through the tweaks / troubleshooting etc. On the whole we found the course great and you can let your creative flow run wild with different colours and textures Would thorough recommened Thanks for the enjoyable course. Maria and Ian
Great fun course with Richard, knowledgeable and pleasant teacher. We are hoping he will soon offer a follow-up course on the topic. Highly recommended .
This was a great introductory course on epoxy resin and wood. Richard is a nice friendly guy and a great teacher. He help all of us make a export resin board and answered all of our questions I would highly recommend anyone and everyone attend the course.
I had a great time and learnt alot on how to use the resin and mix different kinds of pigments. Richard is very friendly , knowlegeable and will quickly put you at ease which is great for any one who is new to resin. I would highly recommend this class .
Richard led a very interesting course, explaining the steps of the resin process very well along the way. Mixing the resin and choosing colours was great fun.
I had so much fun in this course! It was very easy to follow as Richard was super clear and very patient when I tried to take over the course a couple of times 🤭 I think I’ve found my new hobby! Highly recommend and you don’t need any experience or special skills, just go for it.
This was an excellent introduction to resin. Richard was a very natural and welcoming teacher. It was great to spend the afternoon with such friendly and interesting people, who all had so many ideas and questions to share.
Awesome course i did enjoy alot.
Very helpful team with lots of experience! Great class for beginners and the class is small enough for you to ask lots of questions! Looking forward to more classes!

I learned the basics of materials preparation, and a combination of the technical preparation of resin e.g calculation of quantity, temperature control, mixing and pouring technique. Richard, the course tutor, was friendly, approachable and knowledgable. Instructions were clear and concise. The venue was well equipped, well organised and suitable for our group of ten. I would be more than happy to go back to Friendly Forces for other courses.

Richard was very friendly and informative, I felt he covered everything we needed to know and I left feeling very enthusiastic about starting our own projects!
Really great course, clear instructions, had fun creating. Will do more.
I'd watched many resin youtube videos before taking this course so I arrived with many questions. I was very excited to get going but had no idea what to expect. We learned everything from making a mold to calculating the amount of resin we'd need to mix. The class ran smoothly and was very informative, and the venue seems perfect for what we needed. I can happily say that not only did I get my questions answered but I had a great time, and left very inspired and confident in my abilities to move forward onto my own projects.
This was a Christmas present for my partner and we had a great time! Richard was very friendly and knowledgeable. I had never worked with resin before and found the class informative and fun. Would definitely recommend!
This was a well structured, interesting course with a teacher who was clearly very knowledgeable about his craft. I really enjoyed learning the technical details of the process of making resin and playing with glue guns! It would be great to see the changes mentioned to reduce impact on the environment take place as I was a little uncomfortable using some of the disposable materials e.g. the wipes used to clean the table seemed like they could have been replaced with spray and a cloth.
Brilliant course and intro to working with resin - can’t recommend it highly enough. Richard was a great teacher and explained all about resin with lots of very useful information. Very clear instructions and a well structured session that went at the perfect pace. Everything we needed to use was well organised and very prepared. All very easy to follow and in a great studio. Thank you also to Anneshka who was great at supporting throughout. Was a lot of fun and would love to take another course. Thank you Richard
Really great venue with a lot of creativity around! Richard our teacher was very friendly, approachable and informative. If you didn't understand then he was happy to reiterate for you. The class was a very good beginners guide to using resin and I do think I can now go away have give it a go myself. The reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.....there needs to be some improvement on sustainability & I know Richard is looking to this. Also I would have appreciated a fact sheet with helpful hints to either take away or to be emailed later. If these 2 small things could be rectified then 5 stars all the way! Thanks Richard
Richard was an excellent teacher. Loved the course, it was so informative and relevant- a new year energiser!

Richard was a great tutor, very friendly and explaining everything clearly and able to answer all questions. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. Worth noting that the door to the venue was locked when we arrived, so it's worth bringing the phone number with you so you can ring Richard and get him to let you in!
I recommend this course highly - as an instructor Richard has a real lightness of touch. He makes sure that you have all the technical knowledge you need to complete your project, but leave the creative elements entirely up to you! I had a really lovely afternoon at Friendly Forces.
The course was well run and presented in a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. We learnt how to make a mould which was then used to make a small resin board. The venue was easy to find and gave enough space for the eight of us on the course to work in with comfort. I would suggest that it would be helpful to give the students a small handout to remind them of what they had learnt and how to obtain resin products for their own use.

really fun course and very informative
Great class from the perspective of someone who's watched a lot of videos but wanted hands on experience before attempting anything on my own.
Loved loved loved my time there. It reinforced my interest in working with resin and had some very useful tips at the end of it. Richard is knowledgeable and has the patience of a saint 😊 Looking forward to bigger project classes. Thank you Richard
I attended the epoxy resin workshop in December after being given it as a gift for my birthday and needless to say it was fantastic! The course leader was informative and relaxed which made for a very enjoyable day. The resources available were good quality and I really was pleased with my wood and resin piece, which I am hoping to turn into a table top! Don’t hesitate to book this!
Such a wonderful experience. Gave individual attention to all participants and clearly explained the process. The teacher was very informative and did not hesitate to answer any questions and doubts. Easy access to get to the venue. Can't wait for other epoxy Resin workshops.
Really great class, really informative and easy to follow. I really enjoyed meeting the new people and teacher was very patient and knowledgable. Really happy with what I have made. Would definitely go again.

Richard was a brilliant teacher and the course was fantastic. The new studio is beautiful with great light and learning about how to work with expoxy resin was just as I hoped. I am hooked.

Had such a great time at this course and learned a lot. Richard and team were very informative and helpful. The venue was very nice also :)
I had a great time on this course and Richard was a brilliant teacher! I'd never used Epoxy resin before and didn't know much about it, but Richard took the time to explain everything as we went and was more than happy to answer all our questions. He also gave us loads of hints and tips for how best to continue working with resin ourselves at home. Would highly recommend this course!!
Richard The tutor was patient, and friendly, but it wasn’t a chopping board as advertised on the site. It was great to learn the tips and tricks of resin pouring, even if the finished piece is on the small side using a couple of offcuts of wood.
Really interesting introduction to working with wood and epoxy. Richard (the tutor) was very friendly, knowledgeable and explained everything clearly. The workshop is well equipped and laid out and everything was ready to go when we arrived. Would recommend to anyone with an interest in starting a new hobby or sideline. Richard made some great recommendations on where to get the best materials and explained difference between the types of epoxy resins, what they can be used for (and importantly what they can't be used for!) Hopefully Friendly Forces Courses will be expanding their offering for more advanced workshops (there was mention of a longer course where a stool or coffee table could be created).
Great intro to pouring epoxy resin. If you’ve seen the instagram & youtube vids and want to know how to do it for yourself this is the course. There is no woodworking involved, you’ll make a mould and pour the epoxy. Richard is friendly & knowledgeable.
Absolutely brilliant workshop ! Great start to resin works, can't wait for more courses. Dalida
Richard certainly knew what he was talking about. He gave us lots of tips and details of where we could purchase our own supplies. We were the second group to use their new workshop & in its present set up it would have been a tight squeeze if there had been more than 7 of us. Definitely recommend this course as a great taster as to what you can achieve with resin. Would like to receive details of more advanced/larger projects workshops
Was not a cutting board - fair warning. I prefer the class as what it was honestly: we chose a couple pieces of scrap wood and filled the gap between them with resin, learning all about it in the process.
Hello it was a wonderful class all my question became clear . Thank you so much looking forward to attend more classes

We went to this course with my partner and we loved it. Richard was very helpful and friendly and had lots of knowledge to share with us. We thoroughly enjoyed it, it was great fun! We will definitely be returning with the new classes and would recommend to anyone who wishes to learn about resin.
The course was informative and gave an insight into how to create the moulds and the diffetent materials you can use. I would recommend the course.
I thoroughly enjoyed this workshop. I'd never worked with epoxy resin before, but had seen it on instagram and was curious. Richard was a great teacher and gave time to everyone and answered all the questions as we were going along. I came away with new skills, confidence in working with epoxy resin and a piece I am proud of. I travelled a long way for this session but it was totally worth it.
Beginners Epoxy Resin Workshop - what a great afternoon. Richard is a knowledgeable and charming teacher. He has a great understanding of not only the subject of resin pouring and all the technicalities that go with it, but of how to teach. The class moved along as fast as Richard could answer our questions. We all came away smiling and happy having not only learned an immense amount about how resin works as a medium, but also having actually made something. I highly recommend this course. It was exactly what I wanted to learn about and I will be returning to future classes producing coffee tables and then kitchen tables. 5 Stars all round.

Easy to find, easy parking, friendly tutor. We had a great time Richard put us all at ease and was open and happy to answer any small question . Adding new ideas and possibility. We are both going to head on to his next course in the new year and look forward to doing a bit of practisi v at home in the meantime. Well worth the money and experience. Julie
I throughly enjoyed the workshop, Richard really takes the time to make sure everyone understands each part of the process and keeps it fun and engaging.
This course was fantastic. Our teacher was so personable, thorough, knowledge & helpful. Having never worked with resin before, this course was perfect, it taught us the basics & showed us where we could take it. I would wholeheartedly recommend this course to anyone & would love to attend future courses provided by Friendly Forces Construction!
Very well executed course. I enjoyed the day and am pleased with my resin board.

Richard was a great instructor and took time to explain the process and any additional questions people may have had. The class was very relaxed, informative, and enjoyable. You never felt rushed and the time flew by in such a friendly environment. Everyone left with a smile on their face! Fully recommended.
We have learned how to use epoxy resign, mixing colours and all tricks to take care if you mixe it with other materials like wood. The teacher was very friendly and help us with all doubts and questions we had. The venue is big enough for 8 of us with all facilities needed. I will recommend this workshop to everyone who would like to work with product before start by youself.
I went to the workshop with 2 of my work colleagues and we absolutely loved it! It was a lot of fun and a very informative course (whether you have used resin before or knew nothing about it). We weren't just given instructions on what to do - Richard has been brilliant in explaining to us step-by-step, everything that there is to know about resin e.g. how to prepare for working with resin, which one to chose for different projects, the best practices to achieve results we need etc. He also happily answered all other questions we had about working with this material and shared very useful tips and suggestions based on his own experience. I cannot wait to receive me piece once its cured.
Brilliant workshop! Richard was knowledgeable and patient with all of the attendees, regardless of ability or speed. The course was extremely useful, and also gave us an insight to the economics of what is achievable within a certain budget, as the materials are very expensive. I'd definitely recommend this course to anyone who has seen the numerous epoxy videos which are making the rounds on social media, and thinks it's something they can do - it'll give you a great perspective of what you can manage yourselves with a bit of guidance and personal hands-on experience . Looking forward to seeing how my mini river table turned out after fully setting...
Richard was a great teacher, methodically taking us through each step and giving us excellent tips along the way. He was very accommodating and helpful.
I thoroughly enjoyed this beginners course. Richard is very friendly and makes you feel quite at ease. I liked very much the way he delivered the course with a warm and positive atmosphere in the workshop throughout the day. The course was excellent, with lots of knowledge base information on how to use epoxy resin products and related materials and their interaction... As well as some great tips using inexpensive materials. Useful advice on the health and safety aspect of using the resin materials and related tools. - Rui
This class provided a great insight into epoxy resin! The teacher, Richard taught us allot in terms of preparation and health and safety. He talked us through everything we need or should consider before we even start creating our work. Very nice and friendly teaching in a lovely studio!
Absolutely brilliant workshop with lots of technical detail about resins, and good health and safety practice. Really pleased with the piece I made.
Great to find a class dealing with epoxy resin in a furniture/woodcraft setting, rather than as jewellery - it's a really unique course in that sense. The instructor, Richard, is great - very knowledgeable and welcoming; and the class size is quite small so there's plenty of opportunity for one-on-one help and asking lots of questions. I'd really recommend this class to anyone with an interest in epoxy resin!
We felt like trying out something different and decided to give this workshop a go. We really enjoyed the workshop and learnt lots about working with Epoxy Resin and the realities of working with Epoxy Resin. We made really beautiful boards and look forward to getting them once cured. I would definately recommend this workshop and hopefully we may do another one of Richard's workshops in the future. Thanks very much Richard! Jen and Geoff
The basics of resin - mixing it together
The Resin workshop was really interesting, Richard and his assistant were extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and we couldn't have asked for a better teacher. The venue was easy to find, and in good order.
I loved every minute and learnt so much. Richard was really patient and helpful. It was so exciting to produce something so beautiful. It has inspired me to try this again.
Very good, I'd like more of such courses maybe covering Some furniture elements as well.
Great workshop! Really informative, worth taking if you're looking to learn the basics.
I attended the beginners Epoxy Resin Course and can't rate it highly enough. Richard was an excellent instructor and gave us enough space to learn whilst over seeing the class and all ways being on hand. He answered questions honestly and was open when he wasn't sure about the answer. All equipment was provided and as much resin as you wanted. I drove quite a way to attend this course but it was absolutely worth it. I can't wait to receive me piece once its cured.
Workshop was great, well organised with Richard being a really helpful friendly instructor. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Richard was a great instructor, with many tips and tricks from his own experiences, which have proven really useful for us. He was a helpful, informative and relaxed teacher, making sure that everyone had what they needed and got the best out of the class. Both my wife and I had a great time, recommend this experience and would definitely do take a class again with Richard. Thank you!
I went to this class with very little knowledge of epoxy resin and its uses but had seen the cool effects it can produce on instagram so thought i’d try something knew and out of my comfort zone. Richard and his wife (and their daughter Esme) were so welcoming and friendly! I felt confident knowing I had support the entire time but the freedom to experiment and get on with it myself. Richard’s directions and little nuggets of advice throughout were really helpful. All the instructions were clear and we all went at a good pace. The resources were great and I was able to work on this lovely bit of yew wood and had a range of great pigments to choose from for the resin. Overall, it was really fun and informative and I was really pleased with the outcome of my piece. Would recommend for anyone who has an interest in resin and the pieces of art it can produce. I will definitely look out for future workshops they’re running. - Lucy C
Great start to resin works, welcoming and nice class with good tips and guidance on what to buy and how it’s work. Highly recommend.
Knowledgeable and patient leader - always interesting people who sign up - wish it was longer!!
This class was just what we were looking for. It was pitched perfectly for people with little woodworking experience but Richard was great at putting everyone at ease and giving people the right instruction and direction. What was really great was that he let you use the machines right from the off, trusting you to learn by doing which made everything even more rewarding. He was also very invested in how happy you were with your finished product, making sure you went home with something you were proud of. My only suggestion would be for slightly more options in terms of materials from which to choose at the start of the class.
A great class with a great teacher. I haven't stepped foot in a workshop since school so was somewhat nervous to begin with but Richard's knowledge and passion for woodworking really makes you feel at ease (especially when handling equipment). The class size is small (around six) which allows for one-on-one time with each student and definitely makes for a better learning experience. Overall, it was a great hands on experience learning about the structure, strength and durability of wood with a beautiful chopping board at the end (and the satisfaction of knowing you made it with your own hands!) Will definitely be enrolling in another course!
The course take place at: Unit 8, Thames-Side Studios Mellish Industrial Estate, Harrington Way, SE18 5NR We have a range of cafes that are all open to the public and as we're right by the river it's the perfect place for a walk if you arrive a little early!
The closest main road to the studios is the A2 is you're looking to drive from far. Alternatively, Woolwich Dockyard station is about 10-15 minutes away by foot. Greenwich station is also close by with bus routes taking you close to our studio.
Yes, we have plenty parking on-site. If enter through the big blue gates at the entrance, to your left you will have the atrium (the big white gates). This is where we will meet for the classes so best to park near by.
We say that 16 is the youngest we would allow on the courses unsupervised. However, we have had children join for the Beginners Epoxy Resin Part One as there’s no dangerous processes. Beyond this all of the courses involve machining and power tools, which wouldn’t be suitable for children.
Of Course! Please get in touch with us about which course you’d like to purchase along with any information you’d like on the voucher and we can arrange this to be sent to you.
We allow 7 days before the class for a full refund. However, we do ask that you notify us of any issues or cancellations as soon as possible.
