AmyUnfortunately let down by Obby again. The course leader left a message for me about a change in venue which was not delivered to me. The pre course information was incorrect - it was stated that it was a phone photography course but I was the only attendee using a phone. I was not given the information that this was a walking tour; I am fit and healthy but it would have been difficult for someone with a disability. I would have preferred to spend some time indoors learning more skills before going out. I did learn some new techniques but not nearly as much as I had hoped. David was very pleasant and a good teacher. I had an enjoyable time but came away feeling a bit disappointed that I could have learned much more in the time available if the course has been organised differently
PatriciaWe had a wonderful evening with David on the Christmas lights tour! He taught us both a lot, even though we had very different levels of knowledge, making us see things in new ways. Lots of tips and advice on how to achieve better photographs whether on an iPhone or a ‘proper’ camera. Would thoroughly recommend David as a guide and teacher. We’re delighted with the photos we managed to achieve, and itching to practice more! Thank you!
LauraIMPORTANT: Book this now!!! Now for the details. I like to think I am an advanced photographer. David still taught me about things on my camera I have never considered. He was kind, patient, and accommodating. And very knowledgeable about his city. Everything you want in a host. BUT most importantly I got some amazingggggggg shots! All of my Instagram followers and family were in awe of my trip to London due to these shots. David is a true professional and made sure we got all the shots I wanted and more. If you are visiting London and want to impress, learn, and have fun… book… this tour… now!
JamesDavid was great! He explained everything very well and patiently. At each stop we worked through all the settings of our cameras and learnt what they mean for the type of picture you're taking. He showed us examples and encouraged us to try different things. Very informative for beginners and those wanting to get the best out of their cameras.
HelenHad a great time with David yesterday. The class was really personal (just myself and a friend in attendance with the same camera) and lots of learning done about the main modes to use OTHER THAN AUTO(!) on our Sony Alpha series cameras. He was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable, and has spurred us to want to sign up for longer half-day to full-day courses with him to put some of the theory we gained into practice. High-five to David if he is reading this!
BarryThis course was what I needed. In a short space of two hours I learned a lot of important tools and editing techniques I will need to edit my photos. We had a small class size of 5 so got plenty of individual attention. I enjoyed this course and learned a lot. Highly recommend it!
PamelaThe Night Photography Tour was excellent. David, the tutor, was great - very patient and informative. I thought I knew London’s South Bank pretty well but David knew all the best spots to get great photos. With a small group size you get plenty of attention and help. I’ve been on a few photography courses/workshops and this was by far the best. I learnt lots! Highly recommend.
PhilThe tour was great! I had very little knowledge about my camera and what it could do at the start of the tour but by the end I had all the knowledge I needed about the basics of photography and the advanced settings on my camera. I realised what mistakes I'd been making in the past and what to do to correct them in the future. Plus, had fun in the process! I was impressed with what I learned within the time frame. I'm very happy.
TonyThis is a really good introduction to the basic mechanics of photography - how the pro camera settings work on your mobile phone and editing photos. David was an excellent teacher and I'd thoroughly recommend the course to other beginners that want to start learning how to improve their photos.
