A mandala, which is Sanskrit for circle or discoid object, is a geometric design that holds a great deal of symbolism in Hindu and Buddhist cultures. Mandalas are believed to represent different aspects of the universe and are used as instruments of meditation and symbols of prayer most notably in China, Japan, and Tibet. While extraordinary as a standalone work of art, mandalas hold symbolic and meditative meaning beyond their vibrant appearance.

Guided by an expert teacher, this online workshop will help you master the simple steps needed to make a mandala masterpiece. Learn new painting techniques and create a unique piece of art to hang on any wall in your home!

We'll begin with learning how to centre draw a centred mandala on paper before moving on to experimenting with pattern formation. 
Once everyone is comfortable, we'll then move onto transferring our mandala's on to canvas using techniques we have learned. Then everyone will start to add aint, learning about paint application and colour palettes. 
From here we'll being to add patterns and detal to our canvas.

Rebel Stepz was founded in 2010 when Director Sheena Chundee began creating educational and artistic programs. These have since been implemented into schools, community organisations and workplaces.
These programs were designed to compliment school curricula, enhance community connection, create unique educational experiences, and promote the arts as a form of wellbeing and creativity. The aim of Rebel Stepz was, and is, a way for everyone to experience art in all its forms whilst connecting with and learning from industry professionals who are passionate about sharing their knowledge.

Since 2010 Rebel Stepz has expanded and now works alongside art galleries, local councils, schools, and corporate clients. Bringing with them a range of services such as classes, performances, event management, production services, team building projects and theatre craft.

Rebel Stepz has proudly created a supportive platform for creative professionals who are looking to impart their love of the arts, showcase their talent, develop their skills, and become part of a movement that showcases how pivotal the arts is.

Whether it be an art exhibition, a comedy night, a festival, a team event or a ballet class, Rebel Stepz will continue to share their love of theatre, film, music, dance, design, and the creative industry in all aspects.

Sheena Chundee, Director Sheena began dancing at the age of 5 before gaining a scholarship to The Royal Ballet, training full time at the age of 11.
During this time and following her training, Sheena performed with The Royal Ballet Company and dance companies across Europe, choreographing and performing professionally.
 Sheena began curating and implementing creative workshops for community organisations such as schools, universities, corpora and youth organisations in early 2000. Sheena’s focus was to make the Arts accesible for everyone, taking the elitism out of the industry and introducing programs to the community.
