Mary was born in Australia to an Egyptian mother and German father, she chose to settle in London over a decade ago. Her passion for truth and connection has taken her across the globe seeking externally to find what's always been available internally. She was first introduced to yoga at her gym in Sydney when her beloved Body pump class was cancelled, replaced with yoga. Having kept it in her peripherals for too long, she left class feeling immediately transformed.
Upon moving to London in 2006, while working in a frenetic corporate environment, she balanced a heavy work load with weekly yoga classes, as it was imperative in dealing with her increasing anxiety. In 2011 she stepped away from the corporate environment, taking her initial 200 hour teacher training through Barbara Gordon and Monica Farrell in Dahab, Egypt; her mother's homeland. The country had an intense ll on her so she relocated there shortly after, teaching her unique style of classes to ex-pats, holidaymakers, Egyptian and Bedouin women, which she describes as an enlightening experience.
Returning to live once more in London in 2014, through yoga and mindfulness she found a safe space to reconnect with her body, mind and breath which felt expansive and liberating. It's this balance that has had a huge impact on her general well-being and its ability to help her navigate life's twist and turns that she is keen to share with you, on and off the mat.
Mary strongly believes that Yoga, Breathwork and Mindfulness can help us peel away the layers of noise, chaos, pain and stress that we become wrapped in through daily life in Western world. When we become better versions of ourselves; calm, clear and centred in our inner worlds then we can move out into the external world in a truly powerful and passionate way. These practices and classes also do help to get your body toned and trim; an increase in strength, balance flexibility and stability are also part of the process.
