Photography is vision, composition and about being confident in working with the technology you have. This one day workshop aimed at beginners will get you taking instinctive, stunning photos that capture a moment or a scene.

Welcome to the wonderful world of photography!

Creating great photos requires knowledge of your camera, light and how to arrange things in the frame. You need to know the rules for great photos and when to break these rules to create something unique.

But finding all this knowledge, bringing it together at the right time and getting your camera to record it all as intended can be a daunting and frustrating process.

With me as your guide, this one-day course will change all of that and you will leave seeing, operating and shooting like a photographer. In just one day, your photos and understanding of photography will be at a whole new level. 

So, whether you want to take improved holiday photos, get lovely portraits of the family, more professional photos at work or just to exercise your creativity, together let’s unleash that photographer in you. 

Each new area is backed up with a short practical sessions so you leave with a built-in understanding.

**Content:**
- Understanding your camera and lenses
- The fundamental building blocks of photography: Shutter speed, Aperture and Depth of Field…. and how they are connected.
- Camera modes and how to use them for creating better images
- Composition - knowing the rules and when to break them for much stronger shots
- For face-to-face sessions: Photowalk: Let’s get out and about with our cameras. I will show you to ‘see’ things in a new way, using all the things you have learned with me always available for feedback and guidance
- For remote sessions: Assignments and review. You will receive some assignments to capture some shots around your home, garden or local area. We will review these together and you’ll get improvement through valuable critique and feedback
- Finally we will edit a few of your images from the day and you’ll be buzzing with pride

**Format**
Runs as:

- Small group sessions covering all the content in one relaxed day with lunch included. 
- One-to-One coaching with just you. The session can be in one single day (including lunch) or split into 2 or 4 hour chunks. Select Private Session for this option
