This Weaving Workshop is for you to explore colour, yarn and fibre in an unstructured and intuitive way. A whole body, meditative, satisfying and relaxing few hours at a bargain price.

You will leave wholly relaxed and with an extraordinary piece of handwoven cloth you can use in your sewing practice or to proudly hang on your wall. 

Looms will be pre set for you at approx 30cm wide – on a blank base of colour, black or white.

During the session – we will discuss the anatomy of a loom, the tools and names of the equipment. Play with texture, fibre and colour, experiment with simple shapes and a few creative techniques.

Overlockers and irons, cutting tables, notions, zipper feet, threads and a variety of needles and elastics etc

These sessions are for confident beginners, as we run other workshops alongside these sessions.

You must have completed our ‘Learn to Sew’ short course or have other relevant sewing experience as this is very much student lead with a gentle push in the right direction when you need it x

Ground Floor is The Party Floor – Use the massive height adjustable tables for cutting and to really spread out. Come to one of our group workshops or hire it our for your next event.

First Floor is The Sewing Room – Sewing machines and overlockers, irons, threads, elastics, scissors and every tool you will ever need for your sewing adventure. With a couple of doors leading out side for quiet hand stitching in the sun and for lunch time.

Second Floor is The Weaving Studio – Filled to the brim with yarns and fibres for you to create something magical and uniquely yours. Beautiful high ceilings and spiritually peaceful. You will love it up there.
