A great start to our sessions. Astrid gave us so much inspiration. Looking forward to next week
My daughter loves sewing lessons at Little Hands Design!
She is learning new skills, sustainability and crafting things she loves!
A fun and inspiring introduction to sewing ... thank you !
Very enjoyable, having fun learning new skills every week and improving my sewing/designing work in fashion
The Adult Thrive Club is exactly as described on the website - hands-on and fun-packed. I always wanted to learn how to use a sewing machine but for some reason I never did although my mum and my granny both could brilliantly sew. Wonderful Astrid gave me a great introduction and was very helpful throughout the session. The upbeat and friendly environment was inspiring from the very first moment, so that I can't wait for my second session to come.
I have never sewed before, but after taking it up in Lockdown, I went on the hunt to find a class that would best suit me; I can say, without a shadow of a doubt, that Astrid's class is hands down the exact thing I was looking for. Astrid is kind, and patient, but knows how to talk to adults without making them feel like children. I have learnt and picked up techniques that I never thought possible! I have now encouraged my wife to come along!
My daughter did THRIVE club, she really enjoyed it.
My son did the young thrive club and had the most amazing time. At 14, he's very interested in thew sustainable fashion design, and Astrid provided exactly the kind of class that we have been desperate to find. She is an incredible teacher, and James can't wait to return.
I enjoyed this class very much; very attentive and incredibly knowledgable teacher.
This is a very relaxed class run by a very experienced teacher. I have MCI and am dyslexic, 77 years old, i find a lot of help and understanding of my condition.
My daughter is new to sewing and I booked her for the Young THRIVE Club. Astrid was fantastic! We could not be more pleased and are looking forward to the next session of classes!
Really motivated me to get me back into upcycling my clothes. Astrid is very knowledgeable and creative and it really helps being with a creative group of people with a variety of ideas and talents. Thank you Astrid for taking away my fear of using a sewing machine and getting back into loving sewing.
My daughter attended Astrid's classes and she loved it, a few years later I decided to follow suit and registered. I had never used a sewing machine before and here I am 6 weeks later with a completed wearable kimono style jacket and I absolutely love it. Signing up to the classes with Little Hands Design was the best decision I have made for investing into myself. Astrid's way of teaching allows for everyone else in the class to also help and share their own ways of learning. By my final class I was also able to help a fellow class mate and it was the best feeling! It was so much more than learning, it was growing, evolving and sharing amongst such a beautiful, dynamic and diverse group and a most wonderful teacher. I hope to continue on this exciting journey with Little Hands Design!
Relaxed and friendly atmosphere, and fantastic expert guidance on just about anything you decide to bring in :)
Wonderful classes that teach proper sewing for my budding young clothes designer - a Marc Jacobs in the making …
Really enjoyed my classes at Little Hand Design, partially for upping skills, partially for increased awareness of the *excitement* of upcycling and design. Being environmentally friendly doesn’t need to be boring.
This is a wonderful class for children who are passionate about sewing, design and to be a sustainable being in this world. Sewing classes for children are so hard to find in London and Little Hands is an absolute gem. My son aged 10 made his own jacket after just one term at Little Hands.
Astrid creates a friendly, supportive atmosphere and ensures that each of us - at our different levels and with our different interests - receives the individual instruction needed to bring our projects to fruition. She is very knowledgeable and helpful. She breaks down complex processes into understandable steps. I'm really enjoying the course.
It is a perfect class for adults who want to sew and learn an important skill. Beginners and the more experienced learn and work together. There is no pressure and the atmosphere is friendly and supportive.
