A weekly art class, providing inspiration and tutored guidance in oil painting. Nestled in a serene, leafy setting near Blackheath and Kidbrooke Village, our artist's studio provides the perfect backdrop for your creative journey.

Our class is designed for all levels, with a primary focus on intermediate artists. Beginners will receive guidance and the opportunity to experiment. Each week, we delve into a new theme inspired by various artists and styles, providing a fresh challenge and learning experience.

Sessions begin with a brief introduction to the weekly theme, which could be based on a well-known or lesser-known artist. Our studio is transformed with a different still life arrangement each week, ensuring a dynamic and educational atmosphere.

Painting Class

In Lee Fether's South East London garden studio, learn portrait painting  in a  small friendly group,  bespoke art classes also available.

Lee Fether began her career as a designer, training at Central School of Art and Design, London. Returning to college to study drawing and painting, she discovered  an affinity for portraiture, and in the following years began taking commissions and entering competitions. 

In 2009 her portrait of Gail Porter was selected for the BP Portrait Award at the National Portrait Gallery. In 2012 her portrait of Michael Rosen was also selected for the BP Portrait Award and then subsequently acquired for the Primary Collection of the National Portrait Gallery.

Her work has has also been included in Art UK, the online home of public art in the UK.

She continues to produce portrait drawings and paintings, as well as pastel landscapes of Blackheath and Greenwich, in more recent series she explores abstracted architectural landscapes.

She began tutoring several years ago, finding this immensely rewarding and with great feedback from students. 
She believes everyone can benefit from taking time out to engage in creative activity, at any level, as this can be great for general well-being.
