Sylvie Joly had never touched a lump of clay before going to a - now sadly defunct - Family Learning class some years ago with her kids. She got hooked right away and what started as a hobby has gradually become her second career. She finished her BTEC 3D Design & Ceramics diploma with a distinction in 2016 and started Handmade in Chiswick right away. She now divides her time between making, developing glazes and teaching.
She enjoys helping people, young and old, to discover (or rekindle) the joys of clay and its many techniques.
