Mokume Gane is an old Japanese technique used with metals that is adapted to use with polymer clay resulting in always magically beautiful pieces. 

You will be guided through the steps and once you have created your own, unique sheet of Mokume Gane clay, you can make items of your choice. 

You will be provided with the accessories to make some key rings, pendants and templates for ring-dishes, but I'm sure you will be inspired and come up with your own ideas.

All items need to be baked in a conventional or fan-assisted oven.

This is a great class to do on your own, with your friends and/or family as a creative party , or as a group activity with collegues. For this course a minimum of two people is needed.

I'm hooked to this relaxing activity and look forward to sharing this lovely technique with you; any excuse to immerse myself in another joyous dots experience.

Painting with dots is nothing new; think Aboriginal art, pointillism and mandalas. It's so much fun that it's no surprise it has been around for centuries and is still going strong.

The problem is where to start. That's is where this class comes in. You will learn how to prepare your paints, use the tools given and find and make your own to make your work truly yours. You will also learn how to use the templates to make pre-made designs and then adapt them to suit your own ideas. 

You can also use my blue prints to make your own templates for many a relaxed hour and numerous lovely creations with this unimaginably satisfactory and mesmerising technique.

The kit provided gives you enough materials to make two (practise) fridge magnets and six cards. It comes with inserts and envelopes, so you can send your creations out into the world (the course pays for itself!) or turn them into pictures if you don't want to part with them.

You can choose from 5 different colour sets (blues, greens, reds, purples and pinks).

Come to my studio online, make yourself a cuppa and learn how to work with copper wire. It might lead to a healthy addiction, it sure happened to me.

In 2019 Helga took the plunge to make her dream come true and brought Colourbuzz to life.  She rented a studio with the sole purpose of sharing her passion for creativity with others. Enjoy the experience of creating is Colourbuzz's motto and  Helga believes that not only is being creativie fun, it also gives you a buzz and makes you feel good.

Helga loves to explore new media and this is echoed in her classes that change all the time, however metalsmithing will be one her main areas for workshops in the next year. On online wire wrapping workshop is in the planning and an in-person copper jewellery workshop is ready to go!


She still loves her studio  where she makes her kits and from which she now delivers online classes.

Her enthousiasm, knowledge and belief that everyone has a creative streak is infectious and her classes inspiring.
