Kevin Butcher is a master craftsman with over 38 years experience in antique restoration and cabinet making. He has extensive knowledge in all the associated crafts - carving, joinery, turning, luthier/instrument making, wood and linocut  Confident in both traditional and modern styles. Kevin has worked with  stately homes such as Glynde Place and Firle Place, on specialist Liberty pieces - as well as developing modern prototypes for many contemporary designers including Terence Woodgate.

Kevin has been teaching various aspects of wood craft on and off for the last 20 years. Arthur Street Carving Club is a new venture to provide classes in wood craft from the workshop of Workhaus Furniture Ltd, Kevins Furniture company in Hove. The workshop is a large airy space where students will have bench space and all the materials and technical support they need. 

Practical Info:
The workshop has a basic kitchen and 2 toilets.
Located in a mews in a residential area, there are pubs and local shops nearby. Local meter parking can be tricky but. Just Park often has spaces. Train access very easy - The closest train station is Aldrington 5 mins from Brighton an easy access to London.
