Founded by Jane Gois in 2010 Tea & Crafting has grown steadily over the years and is now London's top private craft venue. We're really proud of our central premises in Covent Garden and we are certainly doing everything we pass on the crafting bug to you crafty Londoners!

We are a group of friendly artist experts who are partial to a bit of old-fashioned craftsmanship with a modern twist. If your undiscovered creative side is simply yarn-ing to get then join one of our crafty workshops and spend a few hours learning something new. Expect to learn new skills, show off creations and have a lot of fun!

All our workshops are project based meaning you leave with a completed item at the end. There is ALWAYS cake, tea and coffee to keep you fuelled whilst you craft. Vegan and gluten free diets always catered for too at each workshop.

Vanessa was so supportive and patient! A great way to spend a few hours on a Thursday and I've been knitting up a storm on the tube since :)

Wonderful class and what a beautiful studio space! Snuggled up in busy Covent Garden, a happy, colourful studio to create beautiful pieces of work! The tutor was so welcoming and friendly and gave her time to each and every one of us! Lovely class, thoroughly enjoyed it!

I really enjoyed this class. I am left-handed and the tutor was enthusiastic and extremely patient. The class is small so you have one on one time if you're not picking the technique up straight away. If you want to learn how to crochet, I highly recommend this class.

What a fantastic class! I contacted the host before and asked if I could make a hat for a baby and she made sure to have special yarn for me! Really fun class with a great teacher! I will definitely be going back for my next project.

Great class! Teacher was very patient and encouraging and was able to help individuals at a pace that suited them. Got to take a crochet hook and yarn home with us too so we could practice. After just the 1 class, I’ve been able to make a whole scarf and intend to continue crocheting and trying out different patterns. Definitely recommend.

Hello Obby I am writing to give my appreciation to the 'Tea and Crafting' course and the teacher Nessa I attended on Monday 20th November in Covent Garden. It was lovely being there and the group that attended were really friendly and supportive. I am really impressed with the tutor Nessa who took time to show me how to knit and explain to me the types of knitting we were doing. She was so patient and understood my needs as a Deaf person and was helpful to explain in a bit of sign language and visual demonstrations what I had to do.She provided a hot drink and nice cakes which I loved. I felt really at home and comfortable there and I hope to go again soon to work on my knitting skills. I would advise anyone to attend it is really enjoyable. Regards Haroon Anwar

This was a class for beginners and the instruction was very clear and everyone was made to feel welcome. Needles and wool was provided and written instructions were available to take away to consult at a later date. Address was easy to find but had to ask for exact location as the class is up some stairs. Very enjoyable!

I enjoyed the class, Vanessa was very helpful, although reaching someone left handed is an effort! We had some treats and got a booklet to follow at home, happy knitting!

Dear Obby I attended the beginners course in knitting at Covent Garden with Nessa the excellent tutor on 16th November between 7pm-9.30pm which i really enjoyed. I was really happy with the location and the teacher nessa who was very patient with me and had some understanding of deaf people and our sign language. The atomasphere of the group was very positive with the students being really interactive with each other and friendly. We were able to learn garter stich/stocking stitch/purl stich and how to cast on and off it was really interesting and enjoyable. I hope top go back to the class in the future to continue learning the skills of knitting and to meet new people. Regards Haroon Anwar.

The materials & workshop space were great. I took a friend. We both enjoyed the activity. We especially liked that we could complete our work in one session but it was an ambitious task. Most participants finished their piece past the time set. We were disappointed by the teacher who was unwelcoming

Great class to re-gain confidence with a sewing machine. Gentle tempo and lots positive encouragement even through my tangled thread. Lovely clear teaching and very enjoyable, time flew by! Recommend for the total beginner and the 'only learnt at school so it's been a while'.

I loved this class! I got the instruction and attention I needed to actually learn the mechanics of sewing, rather than just surviving the class with no real takeaway. My tote bag looks rad and I can't recommend this experience enough. THANK YOU!

This was a fantastic class. Zoe is a very knowledgeable and excellent teacher, she was very patient and happy to go over the techniques until we all understood, working with us individually when we all were working at a different pace, which I appreciated. The venue was also lovely and in a good location. Thanks for your help Zoe!

I have really enjoyed this friendly, helpful and relaxed workshop. I wasn't an absolute beginner to crochet, but I didn't expect to get as much out of the class as I did! With clear and easy to follow instructions I have made a gorgeous 1,5 squares during the class and I can't wait to practice more over the weekend.

A fantastic workshop! It enabled me to learn about how fascinators are made and bring out my creativity to make my own. I would definitely recommend this class. I had no wedding to go to instead I thought of a theme to make my fascinator for.

The concepts is great and I enjoyed it. The fact that we are offered tea/coffee and cupcakes is lovely and appreciated that we could keep our embroidery as well. However, i believe it is not very cheap compared to the enthusiasm of the teacher. The group was nice, but she should have encouraged some discussions. I could see that there were some people going there for socializing, but it was a bit awkward after a while. Maybe at least putting some music on would be a good idea. The teacher looked a bit annoyed that she needs to work, which was quite off-putting.

What a fun and satisfying experience to create your own made to measure shoes- to get the fit just right and to customise the leather and stitching to your personal tastes! Joanna and her colleague were attentive and patient teachers, on hand to help if ever needed during the session. Recommended!
