Learn how to cook not one, but two, effortless suppers in these evening classes (and the best bit: supper and booze is included!). Simple does not mean bland, and in this case, it will definitely mean delicious... No previous experience is required.
In this class
The class kicks-off with a vibrant demonstration from the chef, introducing the menu and the structure of the class. From then on you will get your hands dirty and learn some useful tips, tricks and shortcuts to help cook simple (and delicious) suppers in the future. And of course, like with any good cooking class, there will be a lesson in knife skills, because no chef should be spending too much time chopping (unless you are a sous-chef in a Michelin star restaurant in which case, sorry!).
An expert chef will be on hand to demonstrate and share all their secrets, from making pitta breads to Plum tarte tatin (please note that the menu may vary from class to class).
Now you can
There is no need for you to bring anything other than your appetite. The first meal you make will be all for you - to be enjoyed at the end of the class with your chefs and the rest of the class. The second meal is for you to take home and share with a loved one (or just have that one yourself too, treat yourself, you deserve it!).
Supper is either the main meal or used to describe a light snack in the evening, particularly "up North". The word is thought to have derived from the French souper, and relates to soup. It is also related to the Danish and German word for soup, Supper

The Avenue Cookery School is a family-run leaning business based in Wandsworth in South West London. The owner and head chef Diana began her career as a chalet chef before discovering her entrepreneurial side and founding a number of specialist food ventures. Infamously, Diana taught at The Grange Cookery School in Somerset for 7 years before starting The Avenue, where she has been ever since.
Diana is supported by her son Richard and daughter Sophie.
The food at The Avenue can be considered classic chic but full of fun twists and turns (ranging from macaroon masterclasses to gluten free baking to simple supper classes). All the classes are taught in the school's beautiful kitchen facilities in a relaxed environment.
