    What you'll learn

During this relaxed half day candle making workshop, your instructor will teach you how to make and decorate four different types of candles. Join Groupon, Amazon and ITV in taking a class with Midas Touch Crafts - you won't be disappointed!

    In this class

During the class your expert guide will teach you everything you need to know about making and decorating beautiful candles. You will start by going over the basics, such as learning about the different types of wicks and health and safety (not too much - we promise!).

Once you've got a better understanding of the candle world, you will learn how to make your own. You'll have the choice of a wide range of different fragrances and colours so you can design your candle just how you want, whether it's for you or for a gift!

You will get to make a scented candle and your instructor will teach you about how to colour your candle, how to use fragrances correctly and how to 'recycle' candle wax before giving you all the tips and tricks about decorating your candle and applying those all-important finishing touches, including stamping, glitter, spraying, lace work, garnishing and much more!

    Now you can

    • Make candles for use in centrepieces at special events
    • Relax and unwind by burning a candle that you made yourself
    • Give the perfect handmade gift to a loved one

We'll give you everything you need to enjoy your workshop, you just need to turn up and enjoy! We'll send you home with loads of handcrafted candles to proudly display or give away as gifts, as well as the knowledge and confidence to create countless more!

    Did you know?

A candle maker or seller is known as a chandler. No, this is not due to the Friends character, it actually derives from the Old French word "chandelier", which, before the advent of electricity, was a ceiling fitting made of several candles.
