2. London Craft Week
Taking place across London from the 4th - 10th October 2021, London Craft Week celebrates outstanding British creativity. Bringing together over 250 established makers, creators, designers, galleries and brands, you can book to attend events all across London, and even take part in some workshops too!
3. Terrarium Masterclass in Coal Drops Yard
Planning a celebration? One of our top things to do in London is attend a Terrarium Masterclass with the Botanical Boys in their store in Coal Drops Yard. Start the day learning how to make your very own mini-ecosystem in a glass vessel, and then go on to have lunch or shop in the booming and abundant Coal Drops Yard area, just by Kings Cross station.
4. Design Your Own Silver Ring with Two Jewellers
Always fancied yourself a jewellery designer? Well now's your chance to flex those skills and see what you're made of. Join this class to learn jewellery design using wax carving techniques. Your design will then be cast in sterling silver by two expert jewellers.
5. Affordable Art Fair in Battersea
After taking place online in 2020, the Affordable Art Fair is back IRL this year, and it's back in full swing! The Battersea fair will take place from the 8th - 11th July, and in Hampstead it will be from the 15th - 19th September, two in one year - lucky us! Discover hand-picked selections from artists, and (we hope this year they will bring back) workshops with makers and creators.
6. Al Fresco Mindful Painting Classes in Belgravia
Join MasterPeace, from Dragons' Den fame, and experience painting one of their ever popular art kits in an alfresco setting, with a complimentary cocktail or mocktail in hand! Based in Eccleston Yards, Belgravia, it's the perfect place to spend a sunny afternoon.
7. Throw pots with a Great British Pottery Throwdown Contestant
Learn how to throw pots from a pro at The Slightly Curios Studio. Run by Sampada Gurung, Series 3 contestant of the Great British Pottery Throwdown, you'll get to create with clay and maybe find a new passion for pots. If you're looking for things to do in London that will bring you calm and creativity - this is it.
8. Insider's Tour of London's Flower Market
Take a tour of London's New Covent Garden Flower Market with this workshop experience. Bask in the sights and smells of the market, learn the tips and tricks of the trade, and then finish your day by learning to make a bouquet with seasonal pickings using the spiralling method.
9. London Street Art Tour and Graffiti Workshop
Another tour on offer, but this time you'll get to experience and learn about the East London street art and graffiti scene. Grab lunch in Spitalfields market, then meet your guide and see some of the world's finest street art. That's not all, you also get to finish your tour creating your very own spray paint art to take home.
10. Carve a Wooden Spoon in Nature
Enjoy nature without travelling outside of London with this crafty spoon carving workshop. You'll learn knife skills and how to carve your very own wooden spoon - how nifty is that? Bring your friends together and discover who's got the knack for whittling!
