Yen Yu is the founder of CozyPots, she has a sweet art studio located in South east London, she is an illustrator/ceramicist. Yen Yu has always dreamt of having her own studio in London, so that she could share what she loves with people. In 2018, luckily she finally got her own studio, she decided to share her workspace with people who want to experience making pottery but don't have the space and equipment. Yen Yu also teamed up with artists in different fields to create fresh experiences. In her studio, she usually teaches in a small groups, so each student gets one-on-one attention from the tutors. It's a small place but warm and cozy, it's a place for you to chill, learn and have lots of fun.

It's a very relaxing environment to learn new skills or build new hobby. The teacher is encouraging and willing to teach or answer questions me until I fully understand how it works. There are several workshop options as well as special workshop depends on events and holidays. I highly recommend spending some of your time to learn new things and release your stress :)

Super cosy studio with a lovely and helpful Teacher! We bought the 3 sessions and it was great to be able to come back over a series of weeks to work on our tableware pieces. I would highly recommend for anyone who is looking for a more in depth class. It was a chilled out vibe and we had a good amount of freedom to experiment and play. Would definitely go back!

We had an amazing two hours making ceramics with Yen. She was very accommodating and flexible and allowed us to reschedule due to an emergency on the day we originally booked. The class was comprehensive, interesting and most importantly fun. I would definitely recommend this class to anyone who is interested in clay pottery.

Yen Yu was lovely, friendly and relaxed. We settled into making fairly quickly without too much time spent on instructions, which we liked - learn by doing! We learned the basic technique behind making a mug/bowl (though I think you can make anything you like really). For me it was a 2-3hr practice in letting go of what I thought I was making and seeing the beauty of what emerged. All in all, a fun meditative way to spend a few hours with a friend.

As my first experience I would recommend it. Yen Yun is a quite, pacific human being; she’s there checking if everything’s okay, helping you and suggesting you how to reach your “final goal” aka your pottery.

We had a lovely time with Yen Yu at Cozy Pots Creative Studio - in two hours we managed to make two coffee cups, a mug, a plant pot and a vase using a variety of techniques. Yen was very friendly and informative, but also gave us space to be creative rather than dictating what we should make. Two hours flew by and we didn't want to leave!

I learnt how to make pottery step by step which I decided to make a trophy. The teacher was very precise and informative on her teaching but at the same time let me do my own thing. The venue was nice and cosy and was very friendly so it felt like home which makes the class more relaxing and enjoyable.

We had a wonderful time at Cozy Pots! The class runs you through the skills required for hand-building whilst you create quirky, characterful pots. By the end you'll have at least two creations- whether a cup, vase, bowl or plant pot. Yen Yu is a great teacher and helps those present achieve their vision- and she took photos throughout, a nice reminder of the day. The class is held in an interesting building- filled with art and music. Would really recommend!

Teacher was very friendly and I'm super happy with what we made in 2 hours. Lesson was easy to follow and stress-free. The venue was cosy and relaxing with a great playlist - I will book again.

Had a fantastic first encounter of pottery experience. Yen Yu showed me step by step how to make a flower pot that I always wanted to make. It’s a therapeutic process very much similar to the effect of making floral arrangement at the UCFS flower workshop. Would love to recommend CozyPots to my friends.
