Raul Diaz is a Sunday Brunch Wine Expert. His Sommelier career started in 2004 working in a luxury hotel. Soon after, he gained a vast experience in hospitality while working onboard cruise lines. During 2010, he worked in Michelin starred restaurants with Michel Roux Jr. and Gary Rhodes in London. A year later, he joined a famous London-based wine merchant. Since 2015, Raul opened his own wine school in West London and also joined the wine expert panel at Sunday Brunch.
He has trained more than 4000 students over the years to accomplish their wine dreams. He often participates in wine panels for Harper's and the Drinks Business. He hosts Masterclasses at Taste of London and Imbibe Live.
Raul has a very modern approach when it comes to delivering wine tasting courses. He offers premium personalised teaching, in a small group size, using high quality wine samplers. This two full day weekend course teaches the fundamentals of viticulture, vinification, understanding wine labels, key grape varieties, main wine styles and regions of the world. This is unique learning experience for any wine lover.
To gain the qualification students need to pass a multiple-choice paper of 50 questions. No previous wine knowledge is required to join this course.
