Curious about concrete?
Concrete casting taster workshop - led by Jo Woffinden, designer-maker working with concrete and ceramics.
Students will learn the processes involved in casting concrete objects through practical hands-on making and enquiry and importantly have fun while creating! This one-off workshop aims to provide students with an introduction to the material and the skills and confidence to make concrete objects independently at home, with minimal resources and tools.

Classes are taught in small groups of 4 people per session, enabling individual attention to students and fast progression.
Jo welcomes people with any level of experience to join the taster session at her East London studio in Haggerston.

Concrete creations from the taster sessions can be viewed here: https://www.facebook.com/Concrete-Clay-arch35-926398544366288/?modal=admin_todo_tour

The workshop was amazing. I learned so much about how to make concrete and what it can do. Jo was a super informative and enthusiastic teacher and the studio was the perfect setting with plenty of room and tools to experiment with. What a great session - I highly recommend to anyone who wants to learn about a new medium, work with their hands and have fun!

Very nice session, Jo is lovely and knowledgeable, it was great to learn about this unusual and versatile material under her expert guidance. I made a small planter and a candle holder, using different colour pigments for each. Happy to recommend!!
