Emmy (YA EYT-200) has been practising yoga for 14 years and in 2007 she trained with QiYoga, which interweaves Hatha yoga with QiGong. Since then she has studied further with teachers who continue to influence and inspire her- Simon Low, Max Strom and Kate Ellis among others. She teaches with good humour and openness, and her classes draw from a range of styles from Yin to Ashtanga. Yoga has taken her to teach in Japan, India and France and she has recently been busy introducing yoga and mindfulness to schools. Emmy is also a practicing visual artist exploring the relationship between yoga, meditation and creativity.
Emmy’s classes emphasise the co-ordination of breath and movement, with a focus on mindful alignment and embodied awareness. Emmy believes in the transformative power of yoga both on and off the mat and that yoga is for everyone irrespective of strength, flexibility, age and stress levels, so no matter where you are on your yoga journey, you will be looked after!
Emmy is also delighted to team up with plant-based chef Kali Cooking to bring you an array of special events involving yoga, meditation and a delicious multi-course plant based feast. Watch this space for yoga brunches, workshops and day retreats.
