Everyone loves pasta, even Thomas Jefferson! He fell in love with macaroni after a visit to Naples while serving as the U.S. Ambassador to France... When he got back to the United States, he promptly ordered crates of "macaroni" and a pasta-making machine to be sent back to the States.
In this class you will finally learn how to cook the Ravioli of your dreams, filling them with walnut butter, rocket and parmesan. Yummy ! You will learn the skills, put them into practice and then eat what you have made.
We have put together a special series of workshops to help you learn to cook restaurant-esque meals and wow your friends and family back at home. In this step-by-step lesson you will learn how to make either Pear and Ricotta Ravioli with Burnt Walnut Butter, Rocket Leaves and Shaved Parmesan (7th September) or Mushroom, Mozzerella and Truffle Ravioli with Olive Oil, Rocket Leaves and Shaved Parmesan (3rd November) – now doesn’t that sound lovely? The actual class lasts 2.5 hours where you will learn all about time management in the kitchen, some handy knife skills, vegetable preparation and all the other kitchen 101’s from our professional chefs.
After that, you whip up the delicious meal yourself before eating it with fellow class-goers. You are more than welcome to bring your own alcohol – in fact, its encouraged! A good glass of wine always goes well with a meal.

The Avenue Cookery School is a family-run leaning business based in Wandsworth in South West London. The owner and head chef Diana began her career as a chalet chef before discovering her entrepreneurial side and founding a number of specialist food ventures. Infamously, Diana taught at The Grange Cookery School in Somerset for 7 years before starting The Avenue, where she has been ever since.
Diana is supported by her son Richard and daughter Sophie.
The food at The Avenue can be considered classic chic but full of fun twists and turns (ranging from macaroon masterclasses to gluten free baking to simple supper classes). All the classes are taught in the school's beautiful kitchen facilities in a relaxed environment.
