About this class

For those with some prior knowledge of working a camera – please bring your camera with you. The workshop takes place both indoors, in a coffee shop and out on the streets of Shoreditch. Covering the principles of urban photography, how to capture the environment around you and covering some Photoshop enhancement tips, this class is the ideal introduction to urban photography.

Did you know?

In 2013, a panoramic photograph of London smashed previous world records – due to it comprising of 320 gigapixels! Now that’s a lot of detail!

In this class

The workshop is divided into 3 stages;

The first hour involves meeting in a coffee shop, getting to know one another and an introduction to urban photography, including examples of Ida’s work and the opportunity to ask any burning questions.

A two-hour outdoor photography assignment, with an optional short break after one hour – this involves walking, practicing techniques and getting stuck in.

For the final hour, we will convene and your images will be uploaded to Ida’s laptop, she will then give feedback and a printed photoshop tutorial detailing how to improve your images through post-production.

Now you can

  • Experiment by exploring different areas and practicing the new techniques learned
  • Develop your own urban photography style
  • Improve your post-production skills using Ida’s tutorial.
