Join this active and hands-on class and quickly master the famed Twigg Stitch technique, taught by sewer-extraordinaire Vickie Twigg!
Early sewing thread was made from thin strips of animal hide that were used to stitch together larger pieces of hide and fur. Like all things, sewing has somewhat progressed from these early days!
This class will be used to master the basic technique of Twigg Stitch. For this, students will need to bring 2 colours of the same type of yarn, in order to tell them apart. We recommend that you bring sport or medium weight smooth plied yarn, as it is the best to learn and experiment with.
You will be referring to the Twigg stitch book as you get to grips with the techniques, all under the guidance of Vickie herself.
You may discuss at any point any of the aspects of knitting you are interested in, such as increases and decreases, selvedges, specific patterns or stitches from the book, problem solving etc.
Students are required to have a good knowledge of knitting skills prior to taking the class.
Places are in high demand and run out quickly- so book yours now!
