As part of Cake 4 Fun’s ‘Technique’ series, this beginner’s class in using buttercream offers students a chance to get creative and master an essential baking skill.
In Roman times, it was commonplace to use eggs and butter in bread making, giving the finished product a cake-like consistency and texture. Honey was also used as a sweetener for their bread, and thus there was little distinction between what Roman’s would have called bread, and modern-day cake
This fun and informative class will provide students will all the skills they will ever need to decorate their cakes with beautifully indulgent and delicious buttercream. Students will see a vast transformation in their baking prowess, as they will learn professional techniques, aimed to take their cakes to the next level!
Everyone in the class will decorate 3 cakes. The skills you will learn include:

Cakes 4 Fun use a variety of decorating techniques including sugar models, edible photos, breathtaking sugar flower arrangements and 3-D cake sculptures, to achieve the desired effect for any occasion - this is truly cake art!
