Classes

Single session

ExposureWorks' classes are created for a unique 1-on-1 teaching experience and so this class is available anywhere in London as György, your tutor, will travel to you for the session so that you can have his full attention. If none of the dates work for you, please suggest a day and a time (using the link underneath the dates). It couldn't be simpler, right?

In this class

See London like you've never seen it before! Canary Wharf / The Barbican is your destination, where a cityscape of reflections, perspective, patterns, depth and abstraction awaits.

You'll need pretty good control of exposure, shutter speed, aperture and ISO to make the most out of urban jungle photography, but classes are 1-on-1 so you'll have direct feedback when needed. If you are not up for it, that's OK because György has some fantastic beginner classes too, check them out here!

At the start of the class, you'll set out to enjoy a few hours of guided, yet relaxed and fun photography practice. Go solo, or take your pick of several creative challenges like 'finding patterns', 'frames within frames' and 'reflections'.

Finish off by sharing a slideshow of your images, discussing any technical/creative issues that you faced while mastering the photography of urban environments and candid street scenes.

Now you can

  • get creative and challenge yourself to find the beauty in an urban landscape
  • dust off that photography A-level certificate and turn it into something of purpose
  • feel the confidence to go to anywhere in the world and capture the vibrance of a city in full swing

Nb. A-level photography not actually required

Everything I do, I do it for you! The one and only Bryan Adams, who fills our mind with tracks like 'Summer of 69', is also a certified landscape photographer? One of his shots was even featured on Canadian postage stamps in 2004 and 2005. Now it's your turn to get multitalented!

I had the pleasure of spending half day with Gyuri for a 1-2-1 lesson. As a semi-experienced photographer, I was absolutely blown away by Gyuri’s technical knowledge and ability. He explained some really complex technical theory in a very understandable manner that I was very quickly able to grasp and put into practice. We spent a number hours practicing new techniques both on location and in the digital dark room. In just a few hours, I learnt a huge amount including things that I’d been doing wrong for years, along with really important tips and tricks to ensure I get the most out of my equipment and situation. Gyuri is a fantastic teacher, and one of the best I’ve worked with in my time. He’s patient, friendly, good humoured and down to earth. No matter if you are a beginner or a more experienced photographer, a class with Gyuri will no doubt dramatically improve your knowledge, skills and confidence.

Such a great day out. I finally got to use my tripod which has been collecting dust in the back of my closet. I feel a lot more knowledgeable now. I learnt a few tips and tricks which I am looking forward to applying to my future photography. I am going to go travelling soon so will be applying what I have learnt.
