Artist The Fandangoe Kid has used her creative practice to process an enormous traumatic loss of family, and processing this and unlocking the grief remains a key driving force in her work. Having experienced society’s discomfort with talking about death and loss when trying to come to terms with her own bereavement, The Fandangoe Kid seeks to use her practice as a platform for unearthing conversations around the vast and complex subject of grief, something that will affect us all, yet something we are still so ill equipped at handling. The Fandangoe Kid’s main remit is to challenge social taboos and encourage emotional honesty through her narrative driven large scale installations. Fran is a a former funeral director who went on to set up and run a number of natural burial grounds, along the way chairing the trustee board of the Natural Death Centre spending much of the last two decades deeply involved with death in one way or another.
For the last two and a half years she’s been running the not-for-profit Good Funeral Guide. The GFG is wholly independent of the funeral industry and is dedicated to supporting, empowering and representing the interests of dying and bereaved people living in the UK. The GFG offers loads of information on its website www.goodfuneralguide.co.uk, runs an accreditation scheme for funeral directors and set up and facilitates the Good Funeral Guild, an informal networking organisation for people who share the aims of improving the way we do funerals in this country.

Hatha yoga combines yoga postures with breathing and meditation.  The class is designed to improve strength and flexibility, and the meditation followed by a final relaxation helps to relax the mind. People say it is a challenging class, but they keep coming back for more.

Doors open at 5:30pm for a quiet sit and stretch, or simply relax and unwind

Craft and laugh has been created to give people somewhere to go once a week to set time aside for their craft, or participate in charity recycled bag making sessions  and have some company, with other people similarly crafting.

It is designed to aid wellbeing in terms of taking a break from life, and interracting with others.  Both of which have become more difficult for many after a period where life has been quite tricky.

The sessions are run for all levels.  You are welcome to bring your own project to work on, or you can help make bags for the morsbags project (more can be found here www.morsbags.com)       It doesn't matter about your crafting skills and experience, craft & laugh is for everybody.  There are plenty of jobs to do, and you don't even need to be able to sew.

At the moment it is run as a drop in so no need to make a booking unless you want to.   Sessions are just £5 to cover basic costs and can be paid by cash or card on the day. You can choose to pay for a bundle of 6 sessions ( half a term) at a time for £25.

It's a relaxed session with no expectations.  If you come and chat and get very little done - that's OK too!

Looking to relax at the end of a long day….

Research on meditation has shown that this practice generates significant benefits which include:

Each week we will explore a particular topic and understand how we can connect with this using the practice of meditation.

Using the breath we will enter a deep state of relaxation followed by a guided inner journey. We will use a mix of guided visualisations and mantras to keep the mind focused.

Please arrive promptly at 6:30pm, as we will have a strict no entry policy once the meditation starts. The class will run for approximately 50mins.

Prepare to come out feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.

As a Holistic Therapist I truely appreciate the healing power of feeling heard in a non-judgemental and confidential space. Whether it is voicing your dreams, a challenge you are facing or just needing to get something off your chest.

So I have designed these short 30min 1 - 1 sessions for people who:
Just need a space to express and feel heard
Want an adhoc session rather than weekly sessions
Don't want to the high cost of regular therapy sessions
Want the in person connection

What you can expect:
We will meet in a location which will have the option to sit an relax or if the weather is good and we both feel like it we can have the session wandering around the area
We will grab a coffee or tea at the start
We will have a 30 min talking session but I suggest allocating 45 mins so we have time prior to the session to find a place and grab the coffee/tea.

I will release a few of these sessions per week. So please get in early if you would like to book. I will close the bookings 24hrs before the session.

Please be on time so we can get the most of the session.
I have a 48hr cancellation policy so any cancellations prior to 48 hrs I will refund the amount excluding any booking fees. There will be no refunds for cancellations within 48hrs of the session.
I honour the confidential nature of the discussion, however given these sessions are in a public space we are limited to what will be happening around us. However we will do our best to find a quiet space

I wanted to bring together a group, a community of like-minded women who love to read, nurture their inner wisdom and celebrate the divine feminine that they are. By being open, curious is how we grow and expand.

We will meet every 6-8 weeks in a London cafe, where we discuss a particular book. The range of books will focus on self-development, spirituality, women empowerment and ways we can relate this to our everyday world. Each session we will discuss and share our insights from the book and most importantly how these learnings can be embodied as we grow. I will guide the gathering, with key discussion points, however the main goal is for me to create space and allow the sharing of wisdom within the group.

This is a 2 hour Hatha yoga, breathwork and relaxation session which is suitable for beginners and experienced yogi's alike.

The session will start with some gentle yoga exercises to warm up the body.  This will be followed by breathwork (pranayama) followed by a simple mindfulness meditation.

There will be a break halfway through with refreshments, biscuits and cake. Let me know if you have any dietary requirements.

Finally - yoga nidra.  This is also known as yogic sleep and is a guided meditation which is done lying down in savasana.  It creates a deep sense of relaxation in both the body and the mind which leads to s state of relaxed awareness.

Doodle Art Workshop is designed for everyone who wants to learn and give this amazing form of art a chance.

Learn to translate complex shapes into simple line drawings using logic and creativity. Ignite the dormant aspects of your brain to boost memory & creativity, improve focus & interpersonal communication and to release anxiety.

This workshop will help you to communicate your emotions or thoughts in a visual language and release stress. It’s simple to do, because it is representational, based on an icon or a basic shape.

In the workshop you will be guided step by step to structure your ideas in a beautiful artwork.

You will be guided how to combine different shapes and lines to create patterns, graphics and clean clear designs.

I provide these workshops regularly,  personalising the programme to each individual student. By personalising the programme individually, you are able to learn and develop at your own pace. My aim is for you to explore and experiment with shapes and lines to express your thoughts on to a beautiful artwork and to have fun in the process!

You can choose to work on the already outlined graphics or sketch or create one of your own. You don’t have to worry about whether you can draw or not, you will be guided step by step into the process.

Doodle Art can help you;

Build memory power: Doodling helps the brain to stay alert for a long period and, as a result, process more information. When listening to a long lecture, the brain tends to ‘switch off’. Doodling prevents that by engaging the brain without the individual losing interest in what’s being said. It also helps the brain fill in gaps in thinking and processing the information it is receiving.
Enhance creativity: According to Sunni Brown, the author of ‘The Doodle Revolution: The Power To Think Differently’, doodling helps activate different areas of the brain which usually remain dormant while an individual is processing word-heavy information. This helps a person to arrive at creative solutions to a problem while he is doodling.
Improve focus: Contrary to popular belief, doodling doesn’t distract. It helps stay engaged and alert. In fact, according to research, doodling helps improve concentration as it prevents an individual from daydreaming.

Dr Robert Burns, former director of the Institute for Human Development at the University of Seattle, who used doodles to diagnose emotional expression, stated in his article published in In Health (1991) that "even the most innocent doodle may carry messages from the unconscious". Relieve stress: Psychologist Christine Selby, in her book ‘Chilling Out: The Psychology of Relaxation’, says that drawing a continuous line that curves and crosses itself many times across a page helps people relax and unwind. Since there is no pressure of ‘painting a good picture’, doodling helps you feel more zen because of its simplicity.

This workshop is a gentle session focussed on soothing your body and helping you feel connected with your senses. It’s very easy to get swept up in the busyness of life so this is an opportunity to slow down. Chocolate is a beautiful ingredient full of aromas and warming it up into a magical concoction is a tasty way to experience the soothing benefits of meditation and mindful awareness.

During this workshop Meredith share ways that you can extend some of the breathing and mindfulness techniques we’ll practice into everyday living.

This meditation workshop is suitable for new and experienced meditators. Meditation is a very personal experience and there’s no right or wrong way to feel about it! We won’t be aiming to transcend to any higher planes or tap into different states of consciousness; this workshop is about grounding, connecting and calming.

– A gentle breathing meditation to calm your system and help get you body connected

Mindful Hot Chocolate Meditation Workshop

Lately a new kind of sound therapy, often called sound healing, has begun to attract a following.
Also known as vibrational medicine, the Vibrational Singing practice employs the vibrations of the human voice -- to go beyond relaxation and stimulate healing.

While Tibetan singing bowls and gongs facilitate amazing meditative states and healing possibilities, I find there is nothing like a vibrational sound of your own voice that provides the best healing and recalibration for your own physical body and your own energy field!

These weekly workshops are your opportunity to learn, practice and facilitate a powerful multi-dimensional healing for your body, mind and soul!
The practice is and results are particularly powerful when the vibrational singing is done in a group environment (i.e. more then one person).
The reason for that is actually really simple yet results are so astonishing that any opportunity to practice your vibrational singing with the others is a true "heaven-sent" medicine!

When we practice any sound or any singing in a group environment, each other participant becomes a resonant for every other sound in the room. As a result the energetic power you can achieve in your personal space is getting multiplied in a group environment... And it doesn't just get multiplied by the amount of people present, it somewhat spirals upwards and downwards in a complex magnitude. It's lie a whole new world of your perception opens up to you and you don't just facilitate the necessary recalibration of your energy field and your physical body... in a group environment... for the duration of the practice... you have a new channels of vision or perceptions if you prefer opening up to you. You become aware. You get the glimpse of that oneness. A vey powerful and profound experience!

Please bring some drinking water, we drink A LOT during our workshops!

Somatic Breathwork™ is a full embodiment experience designed to help you release stress, trauma, emotions, and pent-up energy from the body. It is a modality that utilizes your own breath to help shed the layers of yourself that no longer serve.

Somatic Breathwork™ uses a circular diaphragmatic breath to tap into your body's innate inner intelligence to find the areas that need clearing. Coupling the breath with immersive music may result in different forms of cathartic emotional releases such as laughing, moving, crying, yelling, and shaking. All forms of expression are encouraged because it allows the body to move any stuck energy and create space for the second half of the breathwork session.

A gentler breathing technique is used in the second half of the session to help you connect with who you truly are. Together we can use the breath to call in how you want to show up in the world, the changes you want to embody, and allow you to see clearly what it would be like to live your best life.

Please allow 80 minutes for the following:
15 minutes for Intake and overview of the Somatic Breathwork™ session
50 minutes for Somatic Breathwork™ session
15 minutes for Integration and sharing

It is best to find a quiet space where you will not be disturbed for the entirety of the session.

This is an experience done while lying down so please create a comfortable place on the ground utilizing a yoga mat and/or folded blanket so you are comfortable and have enough space to lay down and freely move around. It is not recommended to use any bolsters or pillows to allow for full range of motion during the session (unless pain or injury requires them).

I recommend having a quality set of headphones or speakers that will allow you to be immersed in the music.

It is best to dress comfortably and remove any loose clothing or jewelry that may hinder your ability to freely move around during the session. Think Yoga attire.

It is also good to have a bottle of water and something to journal with for after the session. It is best to refrain from eating 1-2 hours prior to the session.

We will discuss the rest of the details during the intake process.

In this session, you will learn about the Wim Hof Method Breathing protocol, and get an opportunity to practise it.

You will learn about the biomechanics and chemistry of breathing as well as how to correctly and safely practise breathwork at home.

After initial guidance, you will lie down in the beautiful Soma lab, listen to music and breathe along with Heather.

After the breathwork session Heather will guide you on a meditation exercise, followed by an opportunity  to feedback on your experience.

Finally there is discussion on how to begin a daily breathwork practise with helpful tips on how to start.

Please arrive having eaten, as no food is provided.

One to One Mindfulness Coaching Session

Jo is available for one hour coaching sessions that will introduce you to mindfulness and give you an oasis of calm in your busy life.

Take some time out to breathe, taste and get body connected during this belly calming session of meditation – and dark chocolate!

This workshop is a gentle session focussed on soothing your body and helping you feel connected with your senses. It’s very easy to get swept up in the busyness of life so this is an opportunity to slow down. Chocolate is a beautiful ingredient full of aromas and tasting it slowly and with awareness is a delicious way to explore mindfulness.

During this workshop Meredith will share ways you can extend some of the breathing and mindfulness techniques we’ll practice into everyday living.

Not sure if this session is for you?

This meditation workshop is suitable for new and experienced meditators. Meditation is a very personal experience and there’s no right or wrong way to feel about it! We won’t be aiming to transcend to any higher planes or tap into different states of consciousness; this workshop is about grounding, connecting and calming.

What can you expect?

– A gentle introductory meditation to calm your system and help get you body-connected (as with the final meditation, this will vary from month to month)

Guided mindful eating meditation with a selection of single origin dark chocolates that engages all your senses (using the chocolate Meredith uses in her own chocolate making from beautiful bean-to-bar brand, Pump St Chocolate)

A short closing meditation to help you leave the workshop feeling calm and soothed

There will be time for discussion and questions if there’s anything you’d like to know more about.

You’ll also receive a special chocolatey treat to take away and taste (mindfully!) using some of the techniques we’ll explore in the workshop.

You’ll be most comfortable if you wear loose clothing, but do wear whatever feels best for you.

Please note if you are suffering from certain diagnosed mental health conditions it’s not recommended that you take part in meditation without sign off from your supporting clinician.  You'll receive a form ahead of the session to fill out so that Meredith can make the workshop as comfortable for you as possible.

Georgie is fully YAI qualified and insured yoga instructor. With 5 years of training to her credit, she believes life changing benefits of regular practise teaches us to listen to our bodies and self reflect. Her classes are tailored to the individual student's ability and needs. Expect her classes to work up a burn, encouraged by good tunes, focused on increasing strength in the middel, and a deep restorative stretch at the end. Ideal for those who have a basic understanding of yoga and want to progress their abilities with a light challenge, or for the more experienced student, who wants to enjoy flow with more challenging variations. The session will cover a number of basic yet highly effective techniques with the goal of providing attendees with a blueprint they can take away as their first step to starting a personal meditation practice.

You will explore the role of the breath as an anchor of mindfulness and the interplay of thoughts and emotions within the body, helping you to better understand and break free from the limiting thought patterns we commonly experience in our everyday lives.
