Pol Roger Champagne masterclass with Vins Extraordinaires

Vins Extraordinaires was founded by Stuart George in 2016 to enable fine and rare wines to be enjoyed by private and corporate clients. Having started his wine career 20 years ago working alongside the Master of Wine and former Christie’s Senior Consultant Anthony Hanson, Stuart has always appreciated and enjoyed fine wine.
 
A holder of the prestigious Wine & Spirit Education Trust Diploma in Wine and Spirits since 2000, Stuart has tasted vintages back to 1780. He was UK Young Wine Writer of the Year in 2003 before working with Hugh Johnson OBE at The World of Fine Wine magazine, which won several awards during his time there. Stuart was Image Editor and lead contributor to the best-selling 1001 Wines You Must Try Before You Die and Editor of the award-winning The Finest Wines of Tuscany and The Finest Wines of Champagne.

He is a sought-after wine show judge for his experienced and fastidious palate: Stuart has been the sole UK representative at the Shanghai International Wine Challenge; the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles in Chile; the Austrian Wine Challenge; and the 21st Concorso Enologico Internazionale in Italy.

He is also a “wine detective”: Stuart was asked to appraise some 100-year old bottles salvaged from a shipwreck off the Cornish coast. Vernon Rapley, Head of Security and Visitor Services at the Victoria and Albert Museum and the former Head of Art & Antiques Squad at New Scotland Yard, recommended Stuart to Scotland Yard as an expert on wine fraud. With the American art historian and novelist Noah Charney, Stuart co-authored The Wine Forger’s Handbook, a short history of forgery and fraud in the wine world.

Immerse yourself in the enchanting world of South African wines from our founders heritage farm, Blaauwklippen, South Africa and a table full of a variety of easy to care for colourful succulents.  As you arrive, a welcoming glass of Prosecco sets the tone for an unforgettable experience. You'll then be treated to a tasting glass of three exquisite wines, including the crisp Chenin Blanc, the classic Cabernet Sauvignon and a bold Malbec.

SUCCULENT PLANTER
Whilst savouring these fine wines, get your hands connected to nature as you plant your very own succulent garden in a charming planter. This unique blend of wine and planting creates a memorable day where you take home not just the succulent planter, but also the delightful memories of a beautiful wine and planting experience at the charming Botanical Boys experience store.

Wine is served in 75ml tasting per wine.  More glasses or bottle can be purchased as part of your experience.

The planters change from time to time depending on stock availability.  But they are lovely and cute once planted and easy to take home.  Each planter varies slightly in size and style to the one on the image.

Love bubble tea? Come alone, bring your friends or come celebrate your birthday full of bubbles and fun where you will learn to make your favourite boba drinks in a hands-on learning experience at the famous Yifang bubble tea café in the heart of Camden.

Hosted by experienced boba baristas, you'll learn the ins and outs of making a variety of popular drinks. You'll learn a bit about the history of boba tea, how to create a variety of add-ins, mix flavours and present your final concoction with a professional flair.

Even if you don't know the first thing about bubble tea, your friendly hosts will be on hand to show you the ropes, give some useful tips and answer any questions you may have during the class.

After sharing and sampling the delicious drinks you've made, you'll leave the class with a certificate of completion, a head full of boba knowledge and a huge smile on your face.

Learning about the origins of bubble tea.
Tasting and learning how to make 4 different types of tea’s (Black, Green, Ching, Oolong).

This one-day world wine workshop will be a relaxed day spent immersed in fine wines, in a fun environment. You'll learn about wine during the day in an informal way, making it suitable for anyone from a wine novice to a real enthusiast. 16 wines will be tasted throughout, including wines with lunch.

This class looks in depth into everything you need to know to brew great Kombucha.

We look at ingredients, equipment, primary fermentation and secondary fermentation techniques, how to achieve good carbonation, flavour development and how to store Kombucha and propagate scobys.

Making your own kombucha not only saves you money but gives you control over the flavour and freshness and means you always have a refreshing live probiotic drink always on tap.

Kombucha - First Brews, Secondary Ferments

Learn about the history of kombucha and how to brew your own, including 1st and 2nd ferment, bottling and storage. Also learn my top tips for safely opening fizzy bottles.

You'll receive a tried and tested recipe to keep along with a flavour grid to help provide some inspiration for those 2nd ferments.

As well, you'll be given my troubleshooting guide, complied based on over five years' experience of making and teaching others how to make kombucha.

This is a fun, informal and popular class and can be attended by anyone anywhere in the world, as a class recording is provided at the end of the session.


Kombucha Masterclass

Be introduced to 6 fabulous wines from award winning English vineyards. The tasting session will be hosted by Clive Barlow MW and will showcase some of the finest English wines. Split into three distinct groups, you will taste 2 Sparkling Wines, 2 Bacchus Wines and 2 Chardonnay Wines, reflecting the true diversity of English wines.

We have an award-winning sparkling rosé from Woodchurch, WineGB's (2020) Best Classic Cuvée from Ashling Park, West Sussex, 2 new Chardonnay's, including Hattingley Valley in Hampshire and a first Chardonnay from the impressive newcomer, Heppington vineyard. And, of course, 2 Bacchus wines, including IEAW Gold medal winner, Whitehall vineyard and, local to Canterbury, the CB Bacchus.

Clive Barlow is one of just over 400 Masters of Wine in the world and is vastly experienced at hosting wine tasting events. He is a panel chair at the International Wine Challenge, was a senior judge at the Decanter Awards, founded the Canterbury Wine Festival and Chair of Education at the Institute of Masters of Wine.


Wine Tasting - Kent Vs The Rest

The Wine Garden of England is made up of 7 of Kent’s most prestigious vineyards, 6 of which are currently producing wine, with Domaine Evremond expected to do so in the next couple of years. Each vineyard has selected one their wines which showcase their style and quality. The six wines being tasted are Gusbourne Brut Rosé, Squerryes Brut 17, Biddenden Gribble Bridge Rosé 2020, Balfour Liberty’s Bacchus 2019, Chapel Down Chardonnay 2020 and Simpson’s Railway Hill Rosé

The evening will be hosted by Clive Barlow, MW. Being based in Canterbury he is well known in the area and a highly respected wine expert. He founded the Canterbury Wine Festival and was Director of Education at the renowned Institute of Master of Wine as well as being a panel chair at the International Wine Challenge.

Experience Valentine's in a new way through exploring the stage of lovemaking from beginning to end to beginning again. We’ll travel in the company of 5 unique mouth-watering wines, paired perfectly with 5 dangerously delicious chocolate creations. Each flavour experience compliments luscious lessons on love under the covers.

Whether you are travelling solo, with friends or with a lover or partner, the experience offers a safe, gentle introduction to new ways of tasting...and of lovemaking.

 This is NOT for you if you are looking for a hands-on experience. The only hands-on experience that will be had is hands on delectable food and gorgeous drink.

Chocolate.Wine.Sex

An in-depth introduction into everything you need to know about fermented soft drinks. Learn how to make water kefir, ginger bug, tepache, bread kvass and other soft drinks.

Discover ways of using these drinks in other ferments as well as techniques such as secondary fermentation.

At the end of the course you will have water kefir grains to ferment at home as well as recipes and the knowledge and confidence to experiment further.

This can open the door to a lifetime of experimentation as well as saving you money along the way.

Soft Fermented Drinks - Water Kefir, Ginger Beer, Kvass and more

Chestnuts are a true gift of nature. Prolific growers, rich in Vitamin C, Potassium and protein, a staple since Roman times, and are celebrated in many cuisines.
In this workshop we’ll forage at a local woods, and upon returning to our kitchen, you’ll learn how to store them and try a variety of dishes, cooked by our chef. We’ll finish the day with a firepit (subject to weather), roasted chestnuts and mulled wine.

Hello! I'm George and I have recently started 'A Little Cup'. My mission was to make tea blends that put people, wellbeing and creativity at the heart (without the need for a lot of caffeine). A Little Cup aims to bring community and creativity together, a little cup at a time.

This online artistic blending masterclass (held on zoom) will allow you to explore flavours and their influences on our bodies and minds, through creative responses such as movement, gesture and colour... All from the comfort of your own home!

We will look at a selection of 3 of my tea blends, their stories and benefits. This month will focus on blends from our Halloween pumpkin pouches, perfect for the Autumn season!

Each blend has a different quality, be it uplifting and energising, soothing or spicy and warming. We will start with a tasting of each blend and learn about the ingredients. You will then use these as inspiration for a drawing exercise to get your creative juices flowing, thinking about how your bodies and minds respond to different flavours or ingredients. Then the real fun happens... You will finish by making your own tea blend with all your newfound artistic and tea mixing knowledge! And I encourage you to go as mad as you like!

You will be sent a workshop kit in the post-

What will you get:

-3 tea bags of 'A Little Cup' blends (in halloween pumpkins)

-Herbal tea blending kit (including a selection of 17-18 dried ingredients in individual mini drawstring bags, a wooden teaspoon and a spare empty bag to make your blend up) - note: these bags are all fully biodegradable!

-Scroll of paper each to draw on

Please make sure to have any extra paper you want and any drawing materials handy (pens, pencils, crayons, pastels - colours are advised, but regular pencil or writing pens will work too!) - these won't be sent out

Note that booking will end 5 days before the date of the workshop to allow time for postage of the kit.

Halloween Taste + Create! Online Artistic Tea Blending Masterclass

This evening we will be concentrating on big, ripe, rich, soft and spicy reds which are packed full of juicy fruit flavours.

Come along to taste beatuifully chocolatey Argentinian Malbec, robust Chinati Classico and peppery Australian Shiraz amongst others. We will be tasting 6 wines.
We will also be looking at how to bring the best out of your red wines with a short, practical guide on what foods will compliment these full bodied wines.
A great course for anyone who wants a simple, enjoyable introductory look at these lovely winter warmers.
