7 hour class
You will finish this one-day introductory wine course with a WSET Level 1 Award, which is an internationally recognised course devised by the Wine and Spirit Education Trust. For individuals new to wine study, this qualification provides a hands-on introduction to the world of wine.
You'll explore the main types and styles of wine using sight, smell and taste. You will look at how to pair wine with food and a selection of wines will be tasted, offering a really broad introduction. The exam is 30 questions and multiple choice, which you will sit at the end of the day, and given 45 minutes to complete. Upon successful completion of the course you will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin.
The class will starting at 9am with tea and coffee, you will stop for a delicious lunch at around 1pm, resuming studies in the afternoon until 4pm. The day will end with the exam and you will be certified and free to go by 5pm.

Recently refurbished to a high standard, Berry Bros. & Rudd now runs friendly, fun and informative courses in these historic spaces. Leveraging off all the acquired expertise of the Masters of Wine and numerous other connoisseurs there is no better place to learn about wine and spirits than in the extraordinary Pickering Cellar.
Everything is included as part of the course cost, including WSET examination fees, course materials, WSET accredited tuition, use of Berry Bros. & Rudd equipment and tasting samples.
