What happens in this class?

This Strengthen and stretch workshop will use the basics of ballet training, pilates and yoga to offer a unique combined approach to increasing strength and flexibility. The exercises have a particular focus on achieving middle splits and enhancing turnout and back flexibility. It is great for dancers wanting to know more about how to correct alignments, achieve a greater range of motion and better extensions. Every exercise has an easy and hard version and therefore teaches safe stretching methods relative to your own needs and abilities.

The venue was great, the teacher was even better. Even though it was a group setting I felt she really helped us all individually and was very friendly with the way she taught. Overall I enjoyed it a lot.

Ballet has always been my favourite thing to do as a kid but stopped doing, having the opportunity to do it again was so fun and these lessons helped refresh my memory in it. Excellent advice and techniques from the teachers.

This class helped me so much. I have always struggled with flexibility, I frequently play sports, but have never understood much about warming up and cooling down safely. This class is helping to improve my range of motion and prevent injury. Surprisingly, I really enjoy stretching, and it always leaves me relaxed afterward

Gee-Gee has amazing knowledge of how to improve your flexibility even as an adult. She always points out small correction, common mistakes, and improvements in every movement. I can highly recommend this class to anyone, who is looking to get more flexible.

This was my first stretching class and I found it easy to follow, enjoyable and relaxing. I learnt more about warming up and cooling down and injury prevention techniques. The teacher was friendly and approachable. The venue was pleasant and I would definitely recommend this class to others.

I have always been quite inflexible but felt that this class not only help me to improve my flexibility, but also gave me the skills improve my stretching in my own time. I highly recommend this stretch class to anyone, particularly dancer, which want to improve their flexibility.

I am not an athletic person and have recently gotten into yoga which was the first form of exercise I've done. I wanted to venture out a little more and opted for this class, whilst remaining nervous about my lack of experience. I found the teacher very understanding and considerate of my needs and hesitations, which for me was the best thing I could have asked for. I definitely recommend Gee Gee and her classes.

When I signed up, I was a little worried if it would be challenging as I hadn't exercises in a while. But the class was a perfect balance of stregthening and challenging the core and stretching deeply for dancers, runners and overall health if your muscles feel tight like mine! I loved the pace of the class and Gurdeep's attention throughout to each student. Would highly recommend!

It was a superb class! Given that I have very little flexibility and struggle with core exercises, Gurdeep was extremely patient and attentive for a first timer even though the class had mixed abilities. she was able to recommend variations that were suitable for me and I felt comfortable trying the stretches. Hopefully I'll make progress and end up doing splits in a few months!
