10 hour course
We will go through the ins and outs of the patterns for different styles of dresses, and the way in which to make them. Working with the more traditional ways of dressmaking, you will learn how to produce garments without the need for anything but a domestic sewing machine and some hand sewing.
We will go through the range of techniques used in dressmaking and put them to use in making a half dress from a block. By experimenting with samples, using various other methods, you will be able to refer back to them after the class too.
You will then be able to take the techniques and use them when making your own dress.
We ensure quality. If your class doesn't reach your expectations, we'll give your money back.
This is a Flexitime class, which means the teacher can run this class around your schedule.

About your host, Sejala Anujah Shah
Sejal Anujah Shah is a design label that was founded at the beginning of 2017.
The founder Sejal graduated from UCA with a Ba(Hons) in Fashion Atelier. Having gained experience working for different couture designers, Sejal decided to embark on her own journey.
She went on to work part-time for a local designer while setting up her business on the side. Not able to progress as much as she'd like, she took the plunge and left her job at the end of 2016 and has worked to see her label flourish since.
The skills that Sejal learnt while and university and while working are ones that she believes are lost in the industry and so she feels that it is vital that these techniques are passed on.
