    Learn hot to up cycle and customise your clothes to stand out this Christmas. In this class you will be taught a variety of techniques to transform any old clothes into fun and exciting outfits for the festive season!

    In this class

    Please bring along a plain jumper, sweater, or long-sleeved t-shirt to this class.

    You will learn a variety of up cycling and sewing techniques that will be used to customise your item into a wonderfully festive creation!

    You will learn how to applique felt characters, bond and stitch details, add glittery bits, sequins, baubles and tinsel.

    Now you can

    • Continue to up cycle old clothes into wonderful new customised item at home
    • Create brilliantly personal gifts for friends and family
    • Pass on your new knowledge and skill set to others with a similar interest

    When steel needles were introduced to England, during the time of Queen Elizabeth I, they were commonly known as Spanish needles. It is said that the needle maker of her predecessor, Mary I, was a Spanish man who took his knowledge of needle making with him to the grave

    About your host, Susanna Wallis Arts and Crafts

    Susanna Wallis is an experienced teacher in the arts and crafts world, having been offering her expertise for the past 18 years.

    As well as her experience and skills covering a variety of crafts, she has designed and sold her work worldwide and has written two craft books. Her craft exhibitions include Country Living Fairs and the top textiles event Knitting and Stitching Show where she has also taught workshops.

    Susanna always makes her workshops fun and enjoyable and participants will make lovely designs, learn great skills to continue making at home and have fun memories of taking part.
