    Beginners welcome

    3 hour class

    What you'll learn

    This may come as a shock to you but in this class you will learn how to. make espadrilles.

    In this class

    Ok, maybe this is not a shock, but the fact that you need absolutely no previous experience if you want to attend this class might be!

    The details:

    If you do not know what espadrilles are, check the picture above. In this class you will be learning how to make them using:

    • A sewing machine (by the way, this is a great way to get introduced to a sewing machine if you have never used one before);
    • Loads of different fabric;
    • And.. That's it. That's all you need. It's that simple.

    We will provide the sewing machine (yes, we are really nice people) but we need you to:

    • Tell us your shoe size before the class;
    • Bring fabric of your choosing for the outer and inner layers (45.5cm x 56cm); Besides the sewing machine, you can also expect a typical Obby environment - friendly compatriots, great banter, and some inspirational ideas for your new favourite pair of shoes.

    By the way:

    • Please be aware that we only have 8 spaces available and that they normally fill-up pretty fast.

    Now you can

    • enjoy the feeling of walking around in your own creation
    • unleash your creative genius in shoe-wear
    • make your own espadrilles!?

    Your own selfmade pair of Espadrilles!

    Did you know?

    Espadrilles are casual flat or high-heel fashion sandals originating from the Pyrenees. They usually have a canvas or cotton fabric upper and a flexible sole made of rope or rubber material moulded to look like rope. The jute rope sole is the defining characteristic of an espadrille; the uppers vary widely in style. In French Canada, however, espadrille is the usual term for running shoes or sneakers.
