4 hour workshop
Kate has been practising the art of paper folding for over six years and has studied in Switzerland and Italy with Paul Jackson and Dario Zeruto. She makes, lighting, homewares, installations and artworks and has exhibited at the London Design Fair, the Manchester Craft and Design Centre and The Lighthouse in Glasgow. She regularly teaches and demonstrates throughout UK in venues including the Barbican, V&A Dundee and Cockpit Arts and has recently received scholarships from the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust and the Heritage Craft Association.
Join us for a brand new workshop where you will be introduced to the wonderful art paper folding and go on to make your own pendant lampshade. You will start by learning some basic folding skills and techniques as well as exploring a range of three dimensional geometric forms that can be created from a flat piece of paper.
Equipped with these skills you will then be guided through the process of folding your own unique pendant lampshade (RRP £85) to take home at the end of the day that you’ll enjoy for years to come.
Price includes all materials, a wide choice of high quality coloured paper. Each person will also receive a complimentary bag of folding tools.

About your host, Minerva Workshop
The Minerva Workshop is located in Kentish Town in North London, in an old Victorian Warehouse full of creative businesses, and run by painter Lottie Cole.
The Minerva Workshop hosts masterclasses taught by artists and artisans as well as regular weekly classes. All the classes are taught by professional full-time artists and artisans, who love to share their knowledge and skill.
The classes are open to all levels, unless stated, and kept to a limited number of no more than 12. This keeps the classes intimate and allows for everyone to have sufficient help and encouragement in a friendly atmosphere.
As well as learning and expanding skills our goal is to send participants away refreshed and invigorated by sharing a creative experience.
