Chanelle will guide you on how to hammer stitching holes and use the ancient art of the saddle stitch to craft your wallet. Finishing off your completed wallet with your or a loved one's initials.

In this 1.5 hr workshop, you will learn to hand stitch and make your own A6 notebook using 3 rectangular pieces of leather and paper stock. This notebook can be restitched, again and again, and used as morning pages, listing writing, sketching the possibilities are endless.

Create a simple yet beautiful leather-bound notebook with notebook inserts. Perfect for drawing, sketching or journaling, this stylish notebook is an essential part of any busy individual’s self-care routine.

You will be guided step by step how to construct this simple leather notebook using basic leathercraft technique the saddle stitch using a needle and thread.

How To Make A Leather Notebook

In this 2hr workshop, you will learn basic leatherworking skills to make your very own small leather wallet using deadstock leather. You will be guided to stitch and add a closure to
your leathercraft project. Make your finished wallet more personal by adding your initials using heat embossing.
Inside your kit is two pre-cut and pre-hole punched pieces of leather, polyester thread, two
saddle stitch needles, and a cotton bag to hold your kit. Once purchased Chanelle who will guide you step by step to craft your wallet together on your selected date.

Terrarium Masterclass 

This class is designed to provide you with the essential groundwork needed for wax carving all whilst enjoying a cocktail and in a relaxed, creative environment.

Carving wax gives you endless options to freely design whatever ring you want, as you are not limited to a silver wire or strip. This technique allows you to create something 3D, abstract, classic, chunky, geometric or organic, so you can let your imagination run wild!
The workshop begins with a short introduction to the lost wax process and its uses. The Ringsmiths team will inform you about basic tips and tricks on how to design a comfortable ring. Showing you various techniques and tools that can be used.
You will then start by designing/sketching out your ring, (samples and images will be available for inspiration) before beginning to carve your wax.
Once you’re happy with your finished carving we will show you how to complete the ring and prepare it for casting. After the class your wax carved ring will be cast, finished and polished by The Ringsmiths using recycled silver. We will contact you once it’s ready for collection or we can post it out to you.

If you wish to have your ring gold plated or have your wax cast in solid gold then this will be at an additional cost and can be paid for and decided on the day.

Your finished silver ring will be ready for collection or posting within 3 weeks after the class.

Extra services such as engraving, gold plating and stone setting are offered at an additional cost. These can be requested at the end of the class. Please note each of these services have a lead time of 3 weeks on top of the casting/finishing time.

Come and enjoy this 2.5 hour workshop getting creative and jewellery making. Craft your very own hammered sterling silver ring, whether as a gift for somebody or a treat for yourself. Hosted by close expert jewellers.

They will guide you through the process of making a ring using traditional goldsmithing techniques such as annealing, forging, soldering, and filing to name but a few. In this workshop you will have the option of making either a wide hammered band or two fine hammered stacking rings (as pictured). Over the course of the class you will have plenty of opportunity to practice your newfound skills, as demonstrated by the jewellers throughout.

There’ll be plenty of opportunity for one-to-one interaction with the jewellers during your session.

We offer gold plating as an optional extra which can be requested and paid for at the end of the workshop. Choose from yellow gold, rose gold or black rhodium plating for your finished ring(s) - prices range from £20 - £40. Please note this service takes up to 3 weeks and you will need to leave your ring(s) with us, which can then be collected or posted out.

This drop in session is suitable for beginner  and intermediate sewers. Please note these are women only classes.

If have never used a sewing machine before you will be taught how to use the machine and make bags, neck lines or small garments according to your own aims and interests.

You can also come and work on your own unique garment projects, with the guidance and help of a professional at your own pace.

Students have successfully created a variety of garments like jackets, shirts, skirts and even wedding dresses!

The studio has a domestic over locker , various machines and equipment but you are welcome to bring your own.

In this class that honours the traditional Japanese art of fixing with gold, an experienced and friendly teacher from Art4Space will guide you every step of the way so that you leave with beautiful symbolic pottery to treasure.

As well as enjoying the hands-on experience with all the materials provided, you will also learn a little about the history and philosophy of Kintsugi. We create up to two classic Japanese bowls. You also have the option to bring your own crockery (vase, plate, bowl, cup) and we can explore how to fix this the best way.

 Craft My Day Party - Thames Ditton

Learn how to make a simple ring  from sterling silver in this two and a half hour workshop.  Materials are included in the cost of workshop and no experience is necessary as you will be guided step by step through the whole process.  During the workshop you will learn the following:-

How to use a piercing saw.
How to anneal silver.
How to solder silver.
How to add texture.
How to finish and polish your final piece.

At the end of the workshop you will be able to take home a shiny new sterling silver ring.

Beginners Silver Ring Class

In this three hour class you will learn the basics of TIG welding on mild steel.

Starting out with an explanation on how this form of welding works, settings and parts on the machine, how to position yourself and hold the torch.
You will then have a go at striking the arc on a piece of steel, running a bead without filler rod before moving on to learning how to move and dab filler rod in to the weld puddle.

Dan will then talk you through the various types of weld joints, show you how to tack two pieces together and then run a full weld across the joint.

At this point there will be a break before you come back and have a go at welding an outside corner joint. This is in preparation for the metal dice that you will weld together yourself and take home with you to finish off however you like.

For a small surcharge you can have the dice powder coated in any colour you like. Or just leave it raw with the welding marks on it!

Join lifestyle and streetwear label Stööki as they host their exclusive jewellery workshops at their studio in Greenwich.

Due to COVID-19, Stööki are now hosting smaller group and individual sessions to comply with government guidelines and for a more intimate making experience. This workshop will be focused on the creation and personalisation of rings and pendants and led by Stööki's jewellery technologist Nadia Abbas.

In this workshop you will:

Get an insight in to the jewellery making process
Receive a wax ring or pendant template to customise with your own design
Get a tutorial covering a range of jewellery making techniques

The aim is to have a finished wax master at the end of the workshop that can be taken home, but there is also the option of turning your personalised wax ring or pendant into a finished jewellery piece.

This is a drop in class to learn the crafty skill of pattern cutting. During this class you will have the opportunity to make a pattern from a block , adjust a ready-made pattern or even make your own block with free hand cutting style.

As a drop-in session, some, but not all of the points below will be covered over 3 hours - this will depend on your ability and how many sessions you have attended in the past:

How to take body measurements
How to adjust a ready-made pattern
How to make a free hand loose fitting  block to your size
How to make a skirt
Dart manipulation
How to create style lines
How to adjust a pattern to a different size

The class happens at the same time every week, so feel free book onto multiple sessions to continue to learn this skill!
These classes are ladies only classes for basic and intermediate levels.

Pattern Cutting Workshop in North West London

Learn how to make a simple charm in sterling silver in this two hour workshop.  Materials are included in the cost of the workshop and no experience is necessary as you will be guided step by step through the whole process.  During the workshop you will learn the following:-

How to mark out your design.
How to use a piercing saw.
How to use a drill.
How to add surface texture.
How to finish and polish your final piece.

At the end of the workshop you will be able to take home your beautiful silver charm.

Hello and welcome.  My name is Claire and I own Couchman Bespoke an ethical tailoring company based in London, UK.

Learn to sew beyond a straight line, we will cover curves and seams too.  We will go through the machine from all angles if needed too.  Whether you are learning to sew for the first time or to top up on the knowledge you already have.  Bring a readiness to learn and maybe a notebook for all that you learn, I may take some photos for use on my social media if you allow and can forward them onto you after.

Do you have a sewing machine that you have barely touched or are super new to sewing, and would love to have someone show you the ropes?   I can now offer this class virtually, though you are welcome to bring your machine into the in-person class.   We will explore the sewing machine through the differing components, dials and how to thread it up.  If you have questions about the different feet supplied with your machine they can be answered.

This hour lesson will cover the sewing machine, sewing straight lines (what to look for when sewing), taking it to a curved edge and even a few different seam styles.  Choose from 1 to 1 or group class. You will enjoy a pleasant environment with a patient tutor near Canning Town station.  All equipment is provided for your learning experience.  You will be learning techniques that align with your abilities, and take home all that you complete for reference.  If you wish to learn a specific technique please ask before the class date so I can be prepared for you.

Learn to Sew

Learn how to create three beautiful silver rings to stack together  or wear separately in this three hour workshop.  All materials are included in the cost of the workshop and no experience is necessary as you will be guided step by step through the process.  During this class you will learn the following:

How to size and form your rings.
How to use a piercing saw.
How to solder your rings.
How to add texture and final surface finishes.

At the end of the workshop you will be able to take home a set of three lovely rings.

Kurinuki is the traditional Japanese pottery art, which implies hand-building and carving from a single block of clay.

Kurinuki pottery art differs in instinctivety, so get ready to forget about the “right” clay forming and let yourself craft asymmetric and imprecise articles. Focus on the pleasure received from the fascinating process of making ceramics, and create vessels that will reflect your personality and creativity.

This technique is meditative, relaxing and suitable for any level, so anything from complete beginners to seasoned pros are welcome.

Your tutor, Annette Lindenberg, will guide you through the process, explain the philosophy of tea ceremony wares and the history of Kurinuki. Annette is a Royal College of Art graduate and a professional ceramic artist with over 6 years of experience in Kurinuki.

In this 2.5 hr course you will be taught traditional Kurinuki techniques which can be applied into your own choice of tableware – yunomi (tea cup), bowl or even vase. During the class we will provide traditional naturally coloured clay.

CLASS OVERVIEW
Kurinuki demo. You will learn about the history and philosophy behind this technique, learn traditional techniques.
Carving your piece with guidance of the tutor
Decoration of the pieces with engobes (coloured clay)
Create your own Kurinuki cup.

The class is designed for adults, however, children under the age of 16 are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult.

Learn to copy your favourite garment to get continued enjoyment out of a garment that fits like a dream.   In this class you will learn how to copy a garment on paper.  If we have time, you may get part way into cutting in cloth.  Cloth is unavailable through me, so please do bring your own.  Ability to complete this depends on the quickness in completing each stage and how detailed the garment is.  If you wish to sew up the garment i do recommend 3+ hours.
You can purchase such bundle hours through the Learn to make a garment bundle class, which are available for 3 hours plus.

This class is for all genders and ages.   Choose from 1 to 1 or group class.

Bring a readiness to learn and maybe a notebook.  You will enjoy a pleasant environment with a patient tutor near Canning Town station.  All equipment is provided for your learning experience.  You will be learning techniques that align with your abilities and take home all that you complete for reference.

Be aware that this session time is based on a fairly simple style.  For any garment with layers, corset style or a jacket, coat etc, double the time will be required to complete.  Book the 3 hour session.
You will copy the garment on paper.  For the opportunity to make it in cloth book the 6 hour session.  Again if the garment is more complicated with layers, corset style or a jacket, coat etc; please book for 12+ hours.
