This Presentation Skills course aims to reduce presentation nerves by arming you will the skills to gain attention effectively, manage difficult questions and keep calm and composed under pressure. You will begin by considering what makes a great presentation and examining different presentation styles. You will then move on to think about planning your presentation, beginning by considering your audience and how this may impact your choice of theme and supporting materials, then moving on to building a presentation in a storytelling fashion with a beginning, middle and ending. Finally you will learn the skills of presenting, including the use visual aids, speaking confidently, managing nerves, and using notes, along with more complex aspect such as persuasive speaking, and handling difficult questions. Over the day you will put these skills into practise by creating and delivering a short presentation which will be reviewed at the end. This course is suitable for anyone who has to speak publicly.
