What you will do
If you're interested in stained glass and want to work on a specific project or get more intensive training, one-to-one classes offer bespoke and tailored teaching to really help you develop your skills in this ancient and beautiful artform.
These sessions are bespoke to your needs, so let me know what you'd like to achieve and we can discuss ahead of your booking. Maybe you're a beginner and want to benefit from individual teaching in your intro to glass; or maybe you've dabbled before and want to have a go at painting or developing skills with a more complex project such as lantern, 3D sculpture or some glass painting.
I'm a master craftsperson and love teaching and helping people achieve their craft goals, and we'll have a fun day of learning and making with lots of hot drinks and snacks along the way! I have a beautiful light-filled studio equipped with glass, tools, paints and a kiln ready for you to make something beautiful and lasting in this amazing material.
We ensure quality. If your class doesn't reach your expectations, we'll give your money back.
This is a Flexitime class, which means the teacher can run this class around your schedule.

About your host, Aimee McCulloch Stained Glass
After a degree in Illustration, Aimee became fascinated by the beauty of stained glass during an internship with a glass studio in Glasgow. Learning the traditional skills of stained glass (which have remained much the same for hundreds of years), Aimee then completed an MA in Glass Design, and now runs her own stained glass studio in London, making contemporary stained glass panels, windows and sculptures.
Glass is an amazing material, and stained glass craft can result in extraordinary designs, from the traditional to the contemporary and from gallery artworks to beautiful additions to the home. The dazzling effects of colour and light are genuinely exciting to work with.
Aimee really enjoys teaching, and recently demonstrated her skills for an upcoming BBC TV series on craft and making. Class numbers are deliberately kept small, so that everyone can benefit from bespoke teaching and advice and can leave with real stained glass skills. And of course, the classes are fun! The studio is contemporary and creative, and the emphasis is on having an enjoyable day learning something completely unique!
All materials (glass, lead, soldering equipment, cutting tools) are included, and safety equipment is provided. Drinks and snacks are provided, but please bring a packed lunch. As you'll be using tools and craft-working, please wear comfortable clothes which you don't mind getting a little art-messy! Closed-toe shoes must be worn. Please also bear in mind that, as we are working with glass, it is possible that you'll end up with some small finger cuts! If needed, I will provide plasters and antiseptic!
