2 hour workshop
This 2 hour week day or week day evening wheel thrown pottery class is suitable for beginners and returners. Each student will have their own wheel to work from. Beginners will be coached in throwing basics whilst returners clock up some much needed practice hours.
Support will be on hand as you try to get to grips with centering and throwing basics. We keep class sizes small: no more than 8 students to make sure you each get the proper attention. Expect a few pieces to make it below the table into the slop bucket for recycling and about 2 pieces each to make it onto the keeps board. We'll fire and glaze keeps ready for collection in about 4 weeks time.
Those with more experience will be coached in more advanced topics including the creation of different shapes and pottery items including teapots, lids and plates.
Please note that some weeks will be led by Clover Li, a finalist in the recent series of Pottery Throw down.
If you like this workshop why not sign up for a regular 5 or 10 week class.
We ensure quality. If your class doesn't reach your expectations, we'll give your money back.
This is a Flexitime class, which means the teacher can run this class around your schedule.
