What happens in this class?

In this free workshop we will show you how to make the cutest little dog or cat! Modelled out of terracotta clay and using a selection of shiny glazes to highlight its features, we are sure you will have a delightful time as you become totally involved in making your furry friend out of clay!

This is suitable for children (aged 3 or over), young people and adults.

We will fire them for you and they will be ready to collect after 3 weeks.

Things to remember

We had such an engrossing and relaxing time, creating our own pinch pot animal design. If only we could have stayed longer! Couldn't recommend this more.

Wonderful session at Workshop 305 - it was great to learn the pinch pot technique to create my animal, which was a hedgehog. The staff are very encouraging (I’m very new to pottery) and I really enjoyed the session. I’d highly recommend the workshop!

Took my friend to the Hey Clay! Workshop. He has Down’s Syndrome and a visual/hearing impairment. He absolutely loved the session and was very skilled at the potter’s wheel, which was unexpected and amazing!!! His parents were delighted to hear about his skills and that he had such a fun filled and fantastic day! We are looking forward to returning for a glazing session in the future. A BIG thumbs up from us!!! Raz and Bex

What a great class to learn what can be done with clay. Learnt how to make an animal and also turned out a bowl on the Potter's wheel with a lot of help. The staff were very helpful and it was very interesting to see what everybody else made.

This was a fantastic activity for us as a family, we loved every minute of it and made some new pots and animals to take home. All the teachers were amazing and so friendly and patient with my over excited children. Can't wait to go back
