What you will do

2.5 hour workshop

Evening

This is a 1 part 2.5 hour introduction to handbuilding pottery with terracotta clay. Here you will be designing and hand building 2-3 unique terracotta planters perfect for any home, garden or gift!

You will be taught how to hand build your own beautiful planters. You will then be able to add textures and sculptural aspects if you like. Afterwards they will dried and kiln fired in our studio, ready for collection about 10 working days later in time to pot your plants!

You will mould clay, relax and make something wonderful with your hands. Take this time to experiment with clay

"I'd recommend this to anyone - from a beginner like me, to more experienced who is looking for a fun and relaxing experience" - Lipsheon

You’ll have lots of fun, get your hands dirty, learn some nifty pottery techniques and feel the mindfulness effects of being creative while playing with clay - it is amazing!

Disappointed with the session, I bought it as a gift for my Mum. The description said we could make 2 or 3 items and apply glaze to colour them. In reality we were only given enough clay for 1 item, we were rushed to finish what we had made as the basket to take away the items to start packing away was brought out with over 45 mins of the session still to go and were not given any option to colour anything. We could of done this in the remaining 45 minutes if not rushed out. The description of the session is not accurate atall and really needs to be rewritten. Very basic and limited tools and working on bread boards that kept slipping on the table. We werent offered any tea/coffee or any sort of refreshments either. We understand its a taster session but the session cost £90 for two of us for under 2 hours which we didnt really see as value for money and were not particularly happy with what we made because it was rushed, barely any tools to use and didnt feel completed. Disappointing as we were interested in other Obby courses but based on this one unlikely to do another one.
