Ebru Art is dated back to 13rd centuries where you can see the rare examples in 700 years old manuscripts. Each artwork is unique and can never be copied or done twice. This workshops aims to follow a traditional technique, where your own hands are tracing the pattern and rhythm that have been followed by centuries of makers. It is a great example to ensure that these skills are handed down, but for our own mindset. It will truly still your mind and give you a sense of wellbeing, continuity and calmness. The class will begin with an introduction to sprinkling the paint for the background on the solution and using a biz (needle) to drop the paint. Then, you will learn how to shape the drops into various floral patterns, such as Hatip Ebru, Carnation Flower, and Tulip Flower. Throughout the workshop, you will create at least three unique artworks. These pieces can be proudly displayed in your own space or gifted to your loved ones as beautiful presents. To ensure that each participant has the opportunity to get the most out of the workshop, the number of participants is limited to 3. Please book in advance to avoid disappointment. Please note: You do not have to bring any materials. We will provide an apron. You will roll your artwork to carry with you. We recommend you have a suitable place to put them like a bag. FAQ’S? 1.How do I choose the right brush for my painting? The right brush depends on the type of painting you are creating. For larger washes, use a larger square brush, and for fine details, use a smaller brush. Round brushes are a good all-purpose choice for watercolour painting. See pictures for examples. Can I use watercolours on any type of paper? It's best to use watercolour paper, which is specially designed to absorb and hold watercolour paint. Regular paper may not hold up well to the wetness, cause abrasive rubbing and warp the paper. Will you provide materials? Materials won’t be provided for this class. Please provide your own materials. Just remember, the cheaper the palette, the lesser quality it maybe. Just like buying wine at a restaurant, always go for at least the second cheapest one. What colours will I need before the lesson? We can work with any colour palettes, there's always a way! This class aims to be accessible as much as possible so if you really are worried, send me a picture before of what you've got. What if I need to cancel? That’s ok! ** This All Day Two Part Painting Class is the essential plan to get get you going as a successful oil painter.** Additionally if you wish to paint successfully in any medium other than oil, you will find Allan's clear explanation of the colour wheel an easy to follow, necessary guide for future practice. Please do not mistake the colour wheel as the simple simple school class exercise you practised years ago. There is a lot more to it and most artists will tell you colour theory underlies all successful painting and its value cannot be underestimated. With this in mind Allan has designed his Two Part Plan approach to give you the best possible start in the right direction. Enrol on this Two Part Day Class, It's worth it!......
