I was very disappointed with my experience at Art-K. I feel my £21 was waisted . I wanted instructions on composition , brush work and colour , not a water on water bleed in watercolour to produce an messy picture. Not enough attention to my needs. The room was extremely cold to work in. I would not recommend.

The new art studio is lovely. The teacher is really helpful and supportive in getting you started, even if you haven't done art in a long time

I'm not usually one to leave a review, but have found my experiences at art-K Maidstone worth commenting on. Both the studio and the teacher are welcoming and accommodating to my weekly visits, and I have thoroughly enjoyed challenging myself through a range of different styles and mediums. Originally not sure on what it was I was looking to do in the classes, I was introduced to some initial ideas and have since developed my own end goals in the process. Can't wait to take my canvas home!

Your Teacher

art-K teaches art adults across several branches in England in dedicated studio spaces.

They provide a calm, welcoming studio where students can learn a variety of mediums such as pastels, watercolours, acrylics, clay, oils and papier-mâché, to help each individual develop a variety of techniques.

The studio is run by Pip, who studied Fine Art at university before going on to qualify as a teacher. After teaching in a school, Pip wanted to return to her artistic roots and began working with art-K in March 2019. She is now taking on a new challenge with the…

I relly like the style of teaching at art-K, I get to choose what I want to work and Pip (the tutor) is always on hand to offer help and advice. I look forward to my classes every week.
